  1. Please don't trade me. Kidding aside thank you for the honor it's a pleasure to serve this team as captain. The franchise is going to be going through a transition period and i'm happy to lead this team through that and I hope to then pass the torch to our next big superstar. Even though we're going through some roster changes I still think this is a competitive team and I can still see us making another deep run this year. Lets go team
  2. David tavau @frescoelmoI think is next?
  3. After last week's VHL.com submission which featured The Seabasstard sharing how he would "pound down a box of greasy popeye's chicken" into his gut before every game, now Popeye's chicken have reached out to the player to discuss an endorsement deal. " I mean it's a product I believe in so why not back it up officially and take advantage of my love of Popeye's Chicken. Popeye's is going to feature a series of commercials with me in it, for radio and television. I haven't been able to get any endorsement deals like this before in my career, I don't know if that has anything to do with being a player from a Russian based team or not but I think my partnership with Popeye's will be fun and I appreciate the opportunity to continue talking about my love for fried chicken." The endorsement deal will pay The Seabasstard 200 000$ and a lifetime supply of Popeye's Chicken, the deal also includes naming a limited time food item at the restaurant after the VHL player. " For a limited time during the summer only at Popeye's restaurants in the US, The Seabasstard Jerk will be served. It has nothing to do with Popeye's Louisiana kitchen theme I know but it's basically Jamaican Jerk Style chicken. Why Jerk style you may ask? Because it's fucken awesome. Go ahead try it." (Oupps this was ment as an article not a graphic my bad)
  4. 1. I'm feeling pretty hopeful. I'm pretty confident in this team's ability to reach the postseason. We're entering a core transition on our team and it should interesting to see which young guy will take the next big step in their career. 2. Man that guy was a offensive juggernaut he was the Moscow Menace the last 5+ years he was the face of this franchise and our captain. His impact on this team is immeasurable. I've particularly enjoyed reaching the finals with him the last few years. 3. Both of them should be great additions to our team. There's a lot of opportunity for this young guys to take hold of a prominent roster spot on the menace. It'll be interesting to see which one will take advantage of that opportunity first. 4. I'v never had a opportunity to play with jhatty before but i've heard a lot about him. I'm happy to see remy shore up our defensive unit. He's a solid addition to our team. 5. Well like I said it's going to be a transition year this season and our younger players will have to step up and take over the team from the old aging core. It's their time to shine. I still think this team is capable to winning a championship but the younger guys are going to have to be a big part of it, it's their time to shine. 6.I've got a few vacations planned out. Going camping soon enough.
  5. The Seabasstard was recently a featured guest on a popular podcast hosted by certain ex-NHLers and touched on various subjects including some of his pre-game rituals. Turns out he's quite fond of rituals, a season ago he revealed the one ritual where he smokes some ganja before every playoff game. On the podcast he happened to reveal a few more. Apparently he also pounds a box of greasy Popeye's chicken into his gut before every game he's played as well as fill some of his bottles on the bench with various flavored Monster energy drinks. That's quite unhealthy habits coming from a star athlete. The star mentioned that he'll be abandoning one of those habits this off-season. "Yeah I'm getting a little older though and I've slowed down as I've put on some pounds. This offseason I'll be working on giving up my Popeye's addiction as to try and get myself more into perfect game shape. " When asked if he would also give up his Monsters, Seabasstard said that was "not a problem and that monster is fuel and fuel is good."
  6. Never claimed this doubles week so I am now. Sorry
  7. 1. Embarassement, dissapointment, anger. Tired of being a loser. This sucks. 2. I was a huge letdown this year and I feel like me underperforming was a big reason why we came up short. I was a non factor that whole playoff series against the Bears. 3. I don't really know anymore at this point we've adjusted after every year and we're still not getting it done. 4. I'd rather not have to lose anyone. But i'm sure me or Markinson would be pretty good bait as we both get two years left to Idaho's one. 5. I haven't done any homework on the draft so I have nobody in mind for that spot, sorry. 6. I'd like to go see the World Juniors tournament go down someday that would be fun to watch, that and the Grey Cup (CFL).
  8. Well it's official, the Moscow Menace have lost yet another time in the Continental Cup Finals. Centerman The Seabasstard had a poor playoff showing and didn't even reach a point per game despite playing top line minutes throughout the playoffs playing alongside star winger Duncan Idaho. "Obviously I'm a little pissed off with myself here. I feel like I let my team down by not playing up to my potential, it's now also the fourth time in a row that we all come up short of winning the cup and I'm just tired of coming out of the finals being a loser. I don't know man, maybe I'm regressing with age a bit here and I'm having trouble just accepting it." The Seabasstard managed to score 14 points in his 18 games playoff games, which isn't terrible but it's unlike him considering in the three years previous he managed to put up 81 points in 55 games. The players have all been told that some moves will have to be made this offseason and rumours are circling around the VHL media that The Seabasstard may be on the way out. " I don't believe those rumours to be true, me and the GM have a good rapport and I haven't been given any indication that I'll be traded. I've been a member of the Menace since I broke into the league as a rookie, I've been here for six great years and made the finals 4 times as a member of this team. This team is very special to me and my heart is in Moscow and this is where I wish to close out my career. Even in the event where I would get traded, I'm not so sure I'd want to play in another jersey and I would probably just end up hanging the skates up. "
  9. Well we did it again. Once again I'm here trying to come up with words on what went wrong for the Moscow Menace after losing in the Continental Cup for the fourth time in as many years. Honestly I've pretty much run out of excuses, this should've been our year, after all we won the Victory Cup after having a franchise record setting regular season and a lot of us had more than 60+ games of playoff experience under their belts. This one especially hurts as a lot of our veterans including some who have been successful with us for many years now are coming towards the end of their respective careers. Guys like myself, Hard Markinson and LeMassif have two years to go in our respective careers. Then you got Hlozek and Idaho who's only got the one year left. Even Emeritus is going to start regressing this offseason, everyone is getting older and our window to win is fast closing. Yes we do have a lot of great younger guys that will be able to take over our roles but it doesn't change the fact that this team will have to undergo some big changes in the coming years. Spartan has never been shy of making big trades either so I doubt he'll sit on his hands and do nothing as half his team retires in the next few years. It's too bad we came up short since both Papa Emeritus and Duncan Idaho were having a huge playoffs. Papa was standing on his head the whole playoffs and is the main reason why we got to the finals in the first place he finished off with a save percentage of .933% and a GAA of 2.33, if we would've won the cup he was a sure shot of winning Playoff MVP. Idaho, the face of our franchise and captain was his normal self tearing it up on the offence scoring 13 goals and 27 points which was both good for #1 in the playoff rounds. It's a real shame that both performances are all in vain. This one finals loss for me stings the most. I hate to say it but part of the reason we lost I think was due to my player underperforming. Typically my player over his career would kick up his game to the next level come playoff time. Before this season he's scored an average of 1.5 Points a game in the playoffs, and was the Menace's top playoff point getter. This year he wasn't even a point per game player come playoff time while also getting to play top line minutes with Idaho this year. I'm dissapointed in my player's performance but I'm more embarassed about letting my team mates down. We can't let this loss affect us too much though as we have next year to focus on and it's the last one with Idaho and were going to have to let him close out his career on a strong note by finally winning him that coveted Continental Cup. He's done so much for this franchise that he deserves winning at least one cup in his career, we gotta do it for Idaho next year, we just gotta.

  11. 1. Well we came out with the win over Prague. A feel like I struggled at the beginning of the series but found my game near the end, hopefully that success there at the end can transition it's way to the next matchup. 2. Well I have two tranditions I smoke weed before every playoff game going back to our first final's run. The 2nd one is that I fart in the goalies mask before every game. 3. Putin was in attendance for game 1 and 2 and has always been a avid supporter of the Moscow Menace. 4. I didn't participate 5. Ive done pretty well else than falsely predicting the Tampa/Florida series. 6. I would and it wouldn't even be close. I'm an animal.
  12. Well there's only four games to the season left and my team, The Moscow Menace are one point away from tying the Seattle Bears for first place in the league standings. Winning the Victory Cup would be nice and all but that's not the trophy were chasing here. We just want the Continental Cup and this team has the potential to make another good run and make the finals for the fourth time in a row. At the beginning of the year I thought for sure we'd regress with the losses of elite players such as Paul Atreides and Aurelien Moreau and of course Atreides and Moreau have both gone on to have great seasons in Toronto with Atreides currently leading the league in points and Moreau is leading all VHL defenders in point. Considering the loss of talent actually we haven't done too bad at all as we're a lock to win the European Conference. Our success has much to do with our younger guys such as Preobrazhensky, Mulds and Emeritus having stepped up and our newcomers such as Le Massif and Hlozek having fit into our lineup flawlessly. For my personal numbers I can't complain I'm a point per game player sitting one point shy of 80 Points with 4 games left. However I played set up man this year and it's the first time in 3+ seasons that I haven't been able to reach the 30 goal mark. I hope to reach 80 points though before the season closes out and being one point away right now I don't think it's too much to ask, 79 just breaks your heart, gotta get that 80.
  13. 1. Well we had a tough stretch going into the playoffs where we seen us get away from what we were doing well. We just got to get back to our system and everything should work out. 2.Prague, we just have their number in the playoffs. 3. Seattle is the team to beat there, they're currently leading the league, they ain't no chumps. 4. Papa Emeritus had a great playoffs last year and I"m convinced he'll be great once again. 5. I lost power in the winter time this year for a couple of days, it sucks, you don't want your pipes to freeze and burst. I'm also old enough to have lived through the northeast blackout of 2003. 6. Putting myself to work, i'm tearing down and rebuilding my deck, wish me luck because I don't know what i'm doing.
  14. 1. Of course it does we've went through a few changes last off season. It's nice to be able to show the league that we're still the dominant team in the European Conference. 2. Well with the recent attribute changes I was expecting a change in my player. I won't lie I wasn't as into it this year but he has surprisingly been okay this year after all. 3.At home playing in front of our great fans, we just feed off their energy. 4. Malmo, they've been a rival for years and lets face it we don't get a warm welcome when we visit. 5. I'm not so sure we even need to add anything we're pretty dominant as it is. 6. Swimming. I haven't went swimming in a while now looking forward to it.
  15. 1. I feel alright, happy to have VHL Hockey back. 2. Of course I did, hopefully I built myself another winner. 3. Us winning the Continental Cup of course. For once I actually was able to remember to do the predictions so I hope it goes well. 4.I'm not exactly thrilled about my build just yet but it's a small sample size. 5. Well of course it was needed with all the changes going on with the change in attributes. It gave us more time to heal from another finals dissapointment too. 6. Florida Panthers, Cup Finalists.
