1. How would you rate DC's draft day? I think we killed it picking up a great forward with an awesome future ahead of him, he'll make his way in the lineup with ease. 2. Who do you think was the steal of the S73 VHL Draft? Again, it was a super draft so an easier question would be who did not grab a steal. I think the real teller will be who's active or not. 3. With the current roster, how do you think DC will do this upcoming season? I think we'll fair much better than last season *fingers crossed* I'm still convince that we were just super unlucky and fortune will favor us more this coming season. 4. Where has your player been training and how often? Valentino spent some time at home at his local rink, trying to shake off the rust that comes with depreciation but he's back in D.C. now putting in work whenever he can. 5. What is one thing your player focused on this offseason? How to better position himself to help out his netminder, help make it easier for Wolski while more difficult for the opponent. 6. What is one purchase your player made during this offseason? Some rad new red striped laces for his skates ?

1. Who do you think should the Dragons select with their first overall pick? Frostbeard for sure. 2. Which Nation do you think will win the World Cup this offseason? Western Europe all day bay-bay 3. Which team do you think will make the biggest off-season changes? I don't keep up with the rest of the teams, but I'm thinking it's Vancouver. 4. What are your personal goals for your player next season? Just to keep up with the younger guys and keep contributing. 5. What are your expectations for DC as a team, can we make playoffs? Establish ourselves as a contender? Definitely making the Playoffs after last year's skid. Last year I feel like it was a total abnormality. 6. 1. Which VHL team do you expect will win the Continental Cup? I'm rooting for NYA due to their recent history. 2. Do you expect any changes do you think are needed for this Dragons roster, if any? I don't think anything huge, I'd say we're solid down the line. I think we can definitely compete next season. 3. If you could be any other position in the VHL other than what you currently are, what would it be and why? I think Goalie would be a very difficult but rewarding task. Often a thankless job, but incredibly necessary to compete! 4. What is the #1 most stressful hockey position? #1 forward, #1 defenseman, or #1 goaltender? Goalie, without a doubt! A couple of real life stuff: 5. How is your city handling the these COVID times? Does your city have more cases, etc? Have you been out and about? I live next to D.C. and with all the protests and rallies, I'd say it's hard to tell. We're opening things up but at the same time things are still still mainly doing things at 50% capacity. 6. Do you expect the NHL will resume, and who do you think wins it all if the playoffs do come back? I'm still hoping the end of the month but probably in August to be safe. I'm hoping for the Av's out west or the Bruins from the east.

Odds were against us and unfortunately that's how it went but there's always next season, just gotta roll with it. 2. Who's responsible for turning around this team that seemed hopeless just a week ago? Scoring was rough in some parts as well as our Defense, I think it was really team cohesion that brought us the most success with Wolski leading from the front. 3. Do you have any big plans for the off-season? Stay focused, don't beat up myself too much over the season and look forward. 4. Would you want to play for one of the new expansion teams at some point? D.C. will always be home to me, I can't imagine playing anywhere else. 5. If When we make playoffs, our likely opponent is Calgary. How do you think we match up? Especially after last season, I'd love to sink my teeth in another opportunity against them. Anything is possible on how that series could have gone. 6. Is a hot dog a sandwich? I actually had this argument with my girlfriend and I purposefully disagree with her so Yes, I consider a hotdog a sandwich thanks to those glorious buns. ?

1. Mikko has always been my ride-or-die, we've both been here since the beginning and I couldn't imagine anyone else I'd spend my whole career with. 2. I'm hoping to set the record for All-Time DC Defenseman point totals and someday being able to touch the Cup! 3. COVID threw a wrench in all my travel plans for events but I'm surprising my Dad for Father's Day back home in Maine. 4. Pretty exciting but also kind of sad that we're no longer the new kids anymore. But the locations seem great and I think we've grown out of the of being "too new" to compete. 5. My go-to has always been the Italian BMT. 6. I hoping we're not in last place cause I think we all know that we're better than that! And pull a miracle that we can make playoffs, I believe in the Core 100%.

1. What do you think we need to do to turn this ship around? I'm praying it's soon, I know it's looking rough right now for the boys and I'm thinking we can turn it around with some cohesion. 2. Who has been putting in the work outside of practice? I think we've all been working real heard but it's a the stress and sense of urgency in our situation that's bogging us down. I'm thinking we gotta stop treating it like a chore and remember to have fun. 3. What is your favourite sport outside of hockey? I'd say basketball, I was a basketball fan before a hockey one. Played a lot of it in school and I'm a big time Lakers fan since the Shaq and Kobe era. RIP Mamba 4. Who will you be working your pt on for theme week? My teammate from long, long ago @studentized. Love his game. 5. Whats your favourite meal the night before a game? Carb up with some Pasta boiiiiiii 6. What do you listen to pregame? A mix of some throwbacks and some club mixes, gotta get in a good, comfortable but competitive and confident mood to really get dialed in.

1. It's no secret that the start of this season has been .... bad. What is one optimistic take you can have on it (say something nice)? I think the best thing really is that we can't go any worse! (crosses fingers) the only way is up from here! 2. Are you a superstitious player? Mildly-stitious player? Do you have any pre-game routines to help get our team out of this rut? I'm pretty superstitious, I had one weird experience in New Orleans with Voodoo (IRL) and ever since then I've been somewhat of a believer lol I HAVE to play every song in my playlist when getting dressed and some pregame stretches and recite William Wallace's speech in the final battle then I'm good to go! 3. Some players on the team are beginning to ask whether we should try a rain dance to bring some goals and end our drought, do you think this is a good idea? Honestly, If we're doing a rain dance... I can play a MEAN tambourine so I'm game! 4. Rookies get "messed with" or "hazed" all the time, are there any tricks in particular that you've played on leFlamant and/or Wolski that you'd like to share with the press? I like stick pennies then their skates when they're not looking before pregame skate but the rest is really confidential ? 5. Boris the Forest (95 hits) and Benny Graves (93 hits) have becoming two of the premier checkers in the league this year, since we all practice together, who hits harder? Love Benny to death but there's a reason why Boris is called 'The Forest', the madman will hit you to the trees and beyond... really nice guy off the ice, would never guess he's that type. 6. We all know that every now and then it may be peanut butter jelly time, but is it possible to have just peanut butter time, or just jelly time? Which would you prefer to have on its own? Peanut Butter if it's the crunchy kind, Jelly if it's Orange Marmalade!
