  2. 1. The draft was last night, which is what brought most of you to the Dragons organization. Did you go earlier or later than you expected? If you weren't drafted, how did you make it here? A lot earlier than expected. I didnt even have a hunch of what teams were looking at me. I was saying to myself maybe my history is the reason I would drop later on or even go undrafted. 2. What team had the best draft? DC Dragons. I do not even follow enough to know to tell you. They got me and they got another italian, thats awesome 3. Who will be the biggest steal of the draft? Gonna say myself once again. 4. Who is your early prediction to go 1st overall at the S69 draft? I wish I could even tell you 1 guys name from that draft class 5. Do you think the S69 draft is going to be better or worse overall than the S68 draft? Apperently the S68 draft was actually a deep one. But considering the reddit people are coming over, a lot more players to choose from going into S69 6. Who out of your fellow Dragons draftees do you think is most likely to be a future captain? All of us are great leaders. But Valentino would be the top on my list.
  3. With the VHL draft happening on Sunday, many people did not know what was going to happen. For one, it was a very deep draft according to analysts. For the second point, it was the first entry draft with teams from Prague and D.C. in attendance to announce picks. History was made that night as those teams officially announced their picks and Claude was apart of that. "Honestly, it was so cool to hear my name being called out. First off, I would like to thank my teammates in Minnesota and the management for preparing me for this day. It would not have happened without them pushing me to my limits to improve. But wow what an honor it was to be apart of history. Being selected by an expansion team, I was actually the second player picked by them. My name will always be remembered for being selected in their first draft. And also, getting a paysanne on the team? Wow, another italian being selected in the same draft to the same team, what are the odds of that. Happy to be with Luciano and going to D.C. I guess I already know who my roommate is going to be, with the pasta at midnight and our parents cooking always in our luggage, gonna be a fun experience."
  4. Thanka for the mention man!
  5. With so much going on ever since the finals of both the VHL and VHLM took place, Kaspars Claude has been overwhelmed. "My phone keeps on blowing up" said Claude. "I just can not keep up with what has been taking place in the league. There has been a lot of news regarding the performance of the season, the awards show, the expansion teams and even their draft has already taken place. I wanna relax in Hawaii for a bit, take my mind off of things. Not really gonna sip my pina colada and think about playing hockey." With the draft only a couple days away, Kaspars has been really unaware of what teams will take him. There are a lot of possibilities in the league and with the season he had, he slowly slowly crept up into the top 15-20 mark of players. He seems to have a good reputation around the league, especially considering he was traded from Mexico City to Minnesota. "I am genuinely surprised that I have not even been contacted yet about joining a team. Im on vacation, so I won't have my agent contact teams to see what they think of me. If they have interest, they would contact me. I would be happy wherever I fall but I feel like a GM that wants me on their team would show me a little love. Or is that not allowed per league rules? I do not know, get me another beer and let us enjoy the beach a little" Kaspars got into his speedo and went and lie down in the sand.
  6. that was a lot of info for one post haha like the new team names for the expansion teams. the new alignment is also a great touch guys
  7. actually, i feel like this is the trade for the conditional 1st in the deal that sent me to Minny
  8. wow, im actually a thought at going in the first round. didnt think that would happen, but thanks for the mention.
  9. totally agree. this is a great submission group, was tough to decide who goes where
  10. voted. and thanks motza cause i know the pm i sent you wasnt the way you wanted people to submit the GFX
  11. And by jump, I mean jump ahead. The finals have just started, and the Minnesota Storm are headed back to Minny, the State of Hockey apperently, down 2-0. With the season close to done, Kaspars Claude is already thinking of the next step. With him recently passing the cap for the VHLM, he unfortunately will not be able to stay in the minors next season. That makes it very interesting because where he gets drafted will be a beginning of a new chapter and the start of his career in the pro league. Thanks to member rjfryman (I wont tag him cause it aint that important lol) we are able to follow what the draft class is looking like right now. Condor Adrienne is running away with it at the top of the draft class, putting in 349 hours in the gym for his development. Claude is found all the way at 17th, which would be considered a mid round pick in the second round if the VHL managers would pick according to TPE totals. "Honestly, I think I am doing pretty good when it comes to getting my name out there. I have been constantly on the come up on that draft rankings list and I have been relatively active around the board networking here. I have already heard from other members that they would be interested in having me on their team, so now it is all a matter of where I end up. I do not have a preference and I will be happy wherever I go. I think it would be tough to see my name drop when it comes draft day but I know thats part of the business. I will make the most of it and try to create a legacy in the league. Try and make all the GMs realize the mistake they made by passing up on me."
