  1. I like Yellow and Blue,

It's cool, but I just don't like venturing into other teams colours. I get that it's a different shade of orange but with only 10 teams, their are so many options other than sharing the same colour.

    Purple/Black

Yellow/Blue (St. Louis & Buffalo Sabres)

    Burgundy/Blue (Colorado)

    Gold/Black (Anaheim)

I love yellow and blue.. also the Ducks are Gold, Black and Orange.

Another option is Red and Green like Minnesota, with that burgundyish red and the vintage green colouring

  2. I love the redesign, and while purple is related to Davos, I think functionally speaking, we need Davos to have a colour scheme that matches an NHL jersey for sigs, videos, and such. There is no purple anymore, and this would look dope with the Ducks or Flyers

  3. Worth noting that McJustice, Rubin, AIM and Shock's shooting percentages are all really low right now, and a lot of other teams are getting sky-high shooting percentages. As the season goes on and everyone regresses towards 10-12% our scoring should continue to pick up in proportion to the rest of the league.

  4. In Davos' early days, they were at the center of the fiercest rivalry in the league. Both the Dynamo and Riga Reign were establishing themselves as league powerhouses and any time they hit the ice, the sparks would fly. Never was this more evident than in the Season 11 European Conference Finals. The teams fought tooth and nail, trading victories and eventually forcing a seventh game. The stage was set for one of the greatest games of hockey in VHL history.

Thousands of Swiss hockey fans, clad head to toe in royal purple crowded into the arena, thirsty for Riga's blood. The air crackled with the electricity of a brand new fanbase and Game 7 began. It wasn't long before the tension came to a head. With seven minutes remaining in the first period, a vicious line brawl broke out and three players from either team ended up being sent into the box. After the tone was set early, the pace didn't disappoint.

The rabid Dynamo fans would soon be silenced however, as the Reign opened the scoring and piled a pair more into the back of the net to lead the game 3-0. Tuvia Bielski gave the team a shimmer of hope as he brought the game within two, but Ace Lightning and the Reign responded with a fourth goal. The game was seemingly out of reach as the third period came around. Then all hell broke loose.

Midway through the third frame, another fight broke out. This one featured Jartavious O'Neal squaring off against Andrei Dubnikov, and Bielski throwing down with Brandon Rush. It felt like the death rattle of a team that was ten minutes away from seeing their season slip out of their hands. The crowd went wild as the players were escorted to the penalty box, the entire bench raised to its feet and history began.

Tomas Ziegler, who had defected from Riga last season, put his second of the series in just twenty four seconds after the fight. Start the stop watch.

Sebastien Perrin won the face-off cleanly to his wing. Jonathan Matthias picked up the puck and streaked past the blue line, driving hard to the top of the circle. Shot. Goal. Matthias had pulled the team within one and suddenly the finals were in sight once more. Four seconds had passed.

Perrin lined up for the draw once more, and this time won it back to Tomas Jenskovic. Jenskovic held as the play opened up, and hit Matthias with a laser beam pass as Matthias was breaking into the zone. Without missing a beat, Matthias let off a quick shot and Davos erupted.

    Fourteen seconds.

In just fourteen seconds, the game had taken a full pivot. A game that looked to an ugly end for a young team was suddenly on even footing. Fourteen seconds changed everything.

While the momentum had shifted, the game was far from over. After recovering from the shock, Riga held their own and kept the game even until the final buzzer rang and they could regroup in the dressing room. Davos should have had all of the momentum as the extra period began, but Riga came out of the gate flying. Through the first overtime, the Reign's offense was relentless. Benoit Devereux faced 22 shots, but none of them could squeak past and the game went into a second overtime.

In the second overtime, Ziegler proved that he had made the right decision. Finding the twine against his ex-teammate Marek Van Urho, Ziegler capped off the spectacular comeback. The arena went wild as the Dynamo flooded onto the ice, prepared for their first ever finals appearance.

In those finals, they would face off against the Seattle Bears and win in six, bringing the first of many Continental Cups to Switzerland.
