Draw Mac joined the Marauders during the VHLM S95 draft. Many teams were vying for a goalie and Miami lucked out on Mac as theirs. Since playing in Miami Mac has been one of the more consistent members on the roster. Each week he gets his training done without anyone there to prompt him to do so. It certainly makes up for him being a quieter guy in the locker room. His play on the ice has been fantastic especially since he only has two defensemen in front of him this season. He is still posting respectable numbers with a .915 SV% and a 2.21 GAA. His record is 19-10-5 and has two shutouts this season as well. Draw Mac is primed for a jump to the VHLE next season and is very much ready to take that next step. If he continues on this similar trajectory he will be up in the VHL within a few seasons. words: 158

Kasper Saarinen was sent over to Miami in a trade from Saskatoon. It was an effort by Miami to bring in Longstreet but to also grab a defender who could develop with Miami for a couple seasons. Kasper had a respectable first season with Saskatoon picking up 47 points in 72 games and won a Founders Cup in the process. Since the move from Saskatoon, Kasper had seen an increased responsibility with Miami as their number one guy and he hasn’t disappointed. Twenty games into the season, Kasper is well over a point per game. He has 28 points in 20 games and with 6 goals he is only 3 back of his 9 goal total from last season with 52 games still to go. If Kasper can stay consistent with training then he’s going to be a key piece to Miami’s success for the next couple of seasons. Can Miami keep up with their success to give Saarinen a chance to succeed as well? Words: 165

Could this be the start of trading cards in the VHL!!??

Spider Pandas journey in the VHLE has been an eventful one to say the least. Panda was drafted by Rome in the VHLE draft and after a short period of time Panda had requested a move out of Rome. Rome was very much set up for the future but this season they are projected to be sitting at the bottom of the league. Spider Panda only plans to be on the VHLE for one season and really didn’t want to spend it being on a team that isn’t going to be competitive hence the trade request. GM Nathan did honour his wishes and made a trade that sent Spider Panda over to Oslo. Since being over in Oslo, they’ve been sitting at the bottom of the league, how ironic haha. Despite the teams struggles out of the gate, Panda has been enjoying playing along side the likes of Pastanap, Tano, etc. What is holding Oslo back is having a brand new GM! Nothing against the GM, he’s actually a very good person and is doing the best he can but is very much learning the ropes as a GM. Luckily, Panda has natural GM abilities and has been working with the GM to help him learn how everything works. Learning how to set up lines and strategies was a major struggle at first so Panda spent alot of time with the GM navigating how to do that and different ways they could manipulate these during the season. I do believe in the GM and do think he will navigate us through our early season struggles. The locker room in Rome was a tough experience for Panda because he thrives in active rooms where Rome was pretty dead. Oslo has been a lot better but even Oslo has some work to do to create a better locker room experience for players. Again, the GM is new and learning how to do this, he has hired an AGM who should help with this. I do believe the Oslo LR will be bumping at some point. As for Spider Panda’s personal performance, he has really struggled out of the gate. He hasn’t been an impact player for his team and he’s going to need to be one of Oslo has any chance to be a true contender. His goal is to continue to train every week and work on those skills that is holding him back now that he’s playing at a higher level. He wants to be the best and at the moment he’s struggling to even be apart of top group of goaltenders. words: 432

Jacob Longstreet came over to Miami in a trade with the Saskatoon Wild. He won a Founders Cup, Chershenko Trophy, Osborne Trophy and a Higgins Trophy during his time in Saskatoon. Miami is looking to be a playoff team in S95 so naturally Longstreet was a perfect target for them to go an acquire. Since joining Miami, Longstreet has picked up where he left off. Currently leading the league in goals and points despite being on a middle of the pack roster. He is really showing the league that last season was no fluke. Miami is in a position to be a playoff team this season and Longstreet is going to do everything he can to drag them there. He’s been a big part of why his teammates are popping off as well. Line mate Danny Ross has had a nice spike in production since playing alongside Longstreet as well as defender Saarinen who leads defenders in points in the league. Jacobs Longstreet impact is very apparent, we are very excited to see what the rest of the season holds for this dynamic (pun intended) forward. Words: 186
