Too much of the work falls on one person. Having specific categories of jobs within recruitment (ex. Social media head, advertisements, cross league, etc) might be more interesting or more functional. I’d be more inclined to help if I just did social media posts and not have to worry about finding YouTubers, podcasters, etc to partner with at the same time.

Miami Marauders Presser Week Ending Sept 22. 2024 1. It’s PLAYOFF SZN! Miami vs. Mexico City in round 1. Mexico City is the favourite but can we upset them? 2. Do you want to see personal success during the playoffs or would you sacrifice that for the team to win it all? 3. Some massive news has come out recently in the VHL. The VHLE is folding! What are your thoughts on this? 4. The VHLM has now become even more important than ever as players will be spending a couple seasons with their M team rather than jumping through leagues every season. Do you think this simpler approach will be beneficial for the league? 5. NFL week 2 is underway, were there any surprises in week 1? Or do you even care about the NFL? 6. The NHL preseason is about to start, how excited are you for hockeys return?

I agree. I think a dispersal draft is the way to go. It will be more balanced across the league as it’s not any GMs fault the E is folding.

There are lots of reasons for it tbh DJ already touched on a big one and that’s drafting specific users because of LR presences or based on the type of person they are. This is probably the most important thing. Position of need, if I am completely set with goalies and forwards but need a future legit defender and there’s only so many defenders then I’ll happily trade up to grab one. Commitment! If a player in their draft interview says they’d like to be a long term piece for my organization and another says they’re only going to stay if things are good then I’m like going to move up to grab the player who’s going to be more loyal. These are only a couple of examples but it’s never a bad thing to trade assets for a player you’re super confident about.
