  10. Good afternoon, many already know what this is going to be and many don't. The short story is after this season Mickey Dickson will be retired early and I will be stepping down from my position of AGM of the LA Stars. For those who want to know more here it is: I am going to be a senior in high school in a little less than a month. With that being said it means it college application time. Those two things will be taking up a majority of my time and the rest of it will be spent with family and friends. The next 3-4 months are some of the most important months of my life this far. Another reason I'm going is because I have slowly fallen out of love with the game and just haven't had the energy to do anything with it. it's nothing against the game it's that times have changed. My honest to God hope is that I will be back in January with a new build. at that time college stuff will all be turned in and I will have alot more free time. I want to thank all my friends that I have met along the way. I will be active in discords every couple of weeks to say hi but that's about it. This was not an easy decision and many know that I have been debating it for over a month. thank you everyone who I have met, who has helped me along the way I'm sure we will meet again!
  11. What comes after Mickey Dickson? Frankly I’m not quite sure but here are two different players I would be willing to make. The first player: George Micheals George Micheals would be a LW from Canada. How would he be built? Well I think I would like to try out doing an enforcer type build but an enforcer that can score. I have come to see that not many people have that type of build and I think it just would be interesting to see how it would work out. With that being said I would build him almost as if he was just being a shooter build by things like scoring, puck handling etc but also add in a lot of checking and fighting to also gain the enforcer type build as part of him. Here would be his main build stats: (anything not mentioned would stay at base level) CK: 80 (to bring physicality to the game.) FG: 70 (to be able to stand up for himself and his teammates.) SK:85 (to still be able to go a good speed which will cause less discipline issues.) PH: 85 (to keep good control on the puck.) PA: 65 (to be able to make plays to teammates.) SC: 95 (to give him that scoring touch and give him points.) DF: 90 (so he still has good defensive skills) As you can see by these main stats his scoring and offensive ability will still be very high however he will also have a lot of grit. Why would I want a build like this? Personally I would like to see how he would perform. The league is largely made up of snipers or passing builds and I would want to see what an enforcer type build could do in this league. Build number 2: Brad Jones A defenseman from the United States of America. Brad Jones would be built as a very offensive defenseman. He would be that guy to always jump in on the rush. He would be built with a lot of scoring and offensive threat but also be sound defensively and make sure to also do his job back in his own zone. A good example of the type of player he would be is Torey Krug. A offensive talented defenseman but can still shut it down defensively. Here would be his main build stats: (anything not mentioned would stay at base level) SK: 90 (To give him the opportunity to get up in the play but also skate well enough to get back) DF:99 (all defenseman should have this at or around 99 as it is there job.) SC: 95 (to give him the offensive ability to score and score often.) PA: 65 (so he can also make plays to his other teammates and gain points from assists.) PH: 85 (so he can have good control over the puck while also being able to go at a good speed.) Why this build? I want to build a defenseman in general but I would also like to have them be a more offensively strong defenseman. A defenseman who can play well in both ends in my opinion is the best type of defenseman. These are the two builds I would like to do next and why. Word count 549

  16. Really appreciate being the rookie spotlight!!! Thank you! great article.
  17. Review: Nice Job!! This was very well written. Good detail and explanation to the grades have to each team. The formatting was good. It was easy to follow and very clear on to what you were talking about. I like that you added images to this to give it a pop of color. One of the best articles I have read recently. 9/10
  18. Review: score 8/10 The formatting is ok could use some work. Try making things bold or italics to make who is talking stand out more. I found that I would get lost in who was talking at what point. It was a good length where you got a lot in without making it boring it read or too long to the point where no one would want to read it. Good job! good luck this season.

  20. Welcome back to the review of Mickey's Career in the vhlm. This week we will be focusing on season 71 and 72. Season 72 was Mickey's second season in the vhlm. He was playing for the Yukon rush. His stats this seasons would look like this: Goals: 32 Assists: 36 Points: 68 Plus minus: 54 Penalty minutes: 32 He would play all 72 games with Yukon. Yukon would make it to the finals of the playoffs this year giving Mickey a ton of experience before they would lose in the finals to Ottawa. This was very disappointing but still a great experience. His playoff stats looked like this: Games played: 15 Goals: 11 Assists: 8 Points: 19 Plus minus: -3 Penalty minutes: 4 Although the ending wasn't the best mickey was still super happy with his performance. He worked hard over the off season to improve even more the next year. Season 72 came around and Mickey got the message that he would be shipped off to the Minnesota Storm because Yukon was not going to be competitive and wanted to give Mickey the best chance at winning a title. Season 72 is what I would call Mickey's breakout season. He improved tremendously, put up a lot of points and made what many consider a very influential announcement and article. Mickey would play all 72 games with the minnesota storm and these are his stats: Goals: 28 Assists: 67 Points: 95 Plus minus: 59 Penalty minutes: 31 His very first over point per game season which was a big goal of his this season. He would hit max tpe pretty early in the year which allowed him to bank around 60 tpe before the season was over. Mickey and the minnesota storm would lose in the semi finals of the vhlm playoffs not the best ending to a career but it would have to do here was his stats: Games played: 13 Goals: 3 Assists: 8 Points: 11 Plus minus: -3 Penalty minutes: 10 This was definitely Mickey's worst playoff appearance. He did not produce a ton and was out there alot for goals. He also took a lot of unneeded penalties which did not help his team. During this season Mickey started getting more comfortable with himself in the league and posted his first article. “Being a girl in the Vhl '' blew up a lot more than expected and got a lot of positive feedback. Before posting this mickey talked to alot of people to determine whether this was a good idea. There was a lot of fear that it could be controversial and be taken the wrong way but it was posted anyways and got tremendous feedback giving Mickey more confidence. As great of a season as this was it was also a hard one. The struggle of weather to just retire early crossed mickeys mind multiple times. He would end up taking a break from the league. With the help of some amazing people mickey made it back better and happier than ever. Mickey's vhlm career may be over but her vhl career is just starting. Four games in as this is being written mickey has 7 points and hopes to continue this trend. He did get traded in the offseason to Malmo and is now playing with them. The team is doing well so far and he can't wait to see where this takes him. Word count: 569
  21. Press Conference for week starting July 20th - end July 26 1. You have been selected to be part of the very first LA stars team how do you feel? 2. what is one goal for your player this coming season? 3. How do you think our team will do this year? will we make the playoffs? 4. Looking around at your teammates who do you think will put up the most points? 5. If you could rebuild your player what would you change? 6. Cats or dogs? why
  22. I have no memory of being 13 to be honest with you. I know I graduated 8th grade that year and that's about it.
  23. For the next couple weeks I am going to do Mickey's story in the Vhlm. Mickey's first season was season 70. He was picked up early season by the Yukon rush. The team at the time was struggling and was last place in the league. Mickey didn't care though he just wanted to play. The first season was rough. Mickey was unsure of what he was doing which led to him not playing great. There were multiple mistakes in the way he decided to build his character and didn’t exactly know how to get a good amount of TPE. It was a bit of a struggle to say the least. After a couple weeks with the help of lots of other people he finally figured out how to build himself to become the best player he could be. Around the trade deadline of season 70 Mickey would be traded from the Yukon Rush over to the Mexico City Kings. His first new team since he first came into the league. Although scary at first Mickey started to fit in and joined the team for playoffs. They would make it to the first round and be eliminated in a sweep. Althougha disappointing way to go out his first season he was happy to gain the experience. Mickeys points for the first season looked like this: Regular season: 70 games played, 10 goals, 14 assists, 24 total points and a -34 plus minus rating. He also had 32 penalty minutes in his first season. His first look at the playoffs looked like this: 4 games played, 1 goal, 1 assist, 2 total points and a -1 plus minus. He would have 2 penalty minutes in his first playoff performance. After this year Mickey would be up for the draft. He was not expecting to go super early but hoped for the best. He would be picked 25th in the vhl draft by HC Davos Dynamos and would be picked 22nd in the vhl draft by the Yukon rush. He was very excited to go back to his originalteam and see what he could do. He was also super excited to be picked up by Davos and seewhat the future held for that team. But at that time his main focus was just making sure he gotall the TPE he could before the next season started. Training camp came around and Mickey tried super hard to get himself well prepared for the upcoming season. Mickey would stay with the Yukon Rush for the full season working his butt off to make his way up the lineup. This was definitely so much better year for him in all aspects. Putting up double the points he did the season before. He had finally started to find how he wanted his player to work and what was working best for him. In nexts week's article we will look at his stats from season 71 and look at his final season in the vhlm season 72 what many might consider his breakthrough year in the league. word count: 513
