Hello, I come bearing a couple rule changes to fix some inconsistencies identified in the VHLM rulebook. This section currently states that teams who drop (drafted) players due to IA status may only have priority for the remainder of that season. Given that this is inconsistent with the 3 season draft rights and our desire to avoid IA statuses being used to switch teams after a season, we will be adjusting it to the following by adding the following bullet: In addition, the following section will be re-written due to being outdated: This section will now look as follows: That is all, farewell. - @VHLM Commissioner @VHLM GM for awareness

Would it make sense at all for it to come from either recruitment head or an M commish?

I'm still of the opinion that it's not the league's job to make GM scouting easier than it already is to send a DM to a member. Sure, GM's can make handshake agreements to let each other into their servers to find users easier or check out their public activity. I just don't see myself advocating for forcing everyone to be allowed to be in every other M team's LRs and see all chats. So if this a situation where "if someone wants to be of help, they'd join the server and make the self available with a role" is the whole point of the server just a consolidated version of the VHL main server where the entire GM user list is implied to be available to reach out to? Just trying to figure out what the expectations are, and what the logistics look like. Additionally, who owns the servers? Would we need oversight from the league? Just want to hear some more details on how this would work since that's usually what spurs further BoG discussion to consider implementation.

I enjoy conditional trades since I think they're creative ways to get around asset issues. If anything I'm glad they mess up in the M since it's a teaching moment and they learn for if/when they go to GM a truly competitive league. We had a nice discussion over conditions in the M GM chat that I think taught some folks how to approach them. Don't see a reason to need to ban them because of a screw up or two that isn't too hard to fix.

Actually I do want to clarify what this means. Is this "staying in the M" dependent on them being on a VHLM roster at the start of the season? Being rostered all season? When does this actually trigger?

It's a bit more forgiving in a way, instead of being on a back to back pick and getting DQ'd if you miss the full 24 hour window, you get 12 hours for both and the chance to make up the first skip. Regarding the timing issue, I'd likely say either you'd need to be more willing to use Discord to make the selection in the morning when you wake up or communicate your pick to your group manager if you're up next and know it's an odd window. I've never seen a group manager who won't help out or be considerate if there's communication in advance of the pick.
