Maybe this time I'll win the cup before getting traded away Enjoyed the time in Prague, I'm sure I'll have fun in Vancouver as well! Glad to be reunited with @Gaikoku-hito who's turned into a beast on the blue line
  2. Smh didn't offer the minimum of 1.5
  3. Viper made it let's goooo
  4. Hello all, As usual, we are looking to hire for the VHLM to fill open spots within our GM ranks. For now, we say farewell to @nurx after he stepped up to lead Miami and are primarily looking to hire for that organization. However, we may find out over the course of the offseason that more hirings are needed. We're tentatively planning up to 3 new GMs being added for next season - so feel free to apply even if Miami isn't your first choice. And definitely don't be dissuaded from applying if you see a veteran going for the job! Serious applications only in this thread, anything else will be sent to the gulag. Feel free to DM me or Gus with any questions about M GM'ING.
  5. S88 Commissioner Cup Draft Stream
  6. We'll be streaming our draft live tomorrow night at 8 PM EST on my Twitch channel! I'll make a formal calendar event tomorrow morning with the link.
  7. Yeah I need a timestamp for the mention as well
  8. .949 SV% Gosh goalies really win you championships, LDN has a great one! Congrats to London on their first wildcard win playoff series win conference finals win Continental Cup win!
  9. I can link some resources for new players when I'm on my PC. but just check out the rules in this subforum for now to get a general gist of how this works. Also do know that this is a a fairly forum intensive game (see length of prior game threads) and there will be a lot of information to process. Would def recommend keeping some notes as the game goes along The right ruleset ^
  10. Fuck it, why not
  11. A career task but make it a podcast (as guidelines state, >10 mins)
  12. Why not
  13. I've saved up all the luck from finals losses to dunk on you, nerd.
  14. Rip TPE, good luck on the Apex grind, nice to hear about the fundraiser!
  15. That Moscow hasn't allowed to win a finals, it's a massive conspiracy that stretches to the very top of the league. The IA members aren't as IA as you think.
  16. I think you're reading into it too much. However, there is something that I think has been abused and I've mentioned it a few times in BoG. Don't think many others agree.
  17. Post postseason presser . Should be usable next week too. 1. Well, we got eliminated in the first round. How're you feeling, and what's on your mind? 2. Currently London, Davos, Calgary and Seattle are left alive. Who will you root for out of the remaining Cup contenders? Any particular reason for why? 3. If we're looking on the bright side, our early postseason exit along with Prague's early exit gives us 2 top 12 picks this draft. Anyone you have your eye on, or any position you think the organization should be looking at? 4. The World Cup is coming back this offseason, do you think you'll get picked to play for a national team? Do you enjoy playing in the World Cup? 5. We've got a fair amount of players that need to be re-signed this offseason. What would you say to them if you were in my spot for contract negotiations? 6. Lastly, we've officially seen the end of Kyosti Karjalainen @UnkemptCL4PTP's career - all of which was spent with Moscow despite initially being drafted to Helsinki. Any final words for one of the most loyal and consistent players in team history?

    OV - Nico Pearce
  19. Who knows tbh. Still a long time to go
  20. At the deadline
  21. Quite a fitting song for what I wanted to cover in this quick VHL.com article. Nico's final season is nearly upon us, so there's naturally some reflection and looking ahead to be done this offseason. It's fairly common knowledge that as a user, I am fairly unsuccessful in the VHL with 0 Cup wins of any sort at any level. I had hoped being aggressive with team-hopping would help a bit in that aspect, choosing to be on teams that I felt were well built to make a serious run. For whatever reason, we sit here with 8 season's under Nico's belt with an MVP win and a goal lead, and nothing else really. For now, Nico will likely play out his final season in Prague as there is still a year left on his contract. Whether Prague will actually keep the aged forward will be something to keep an eye on this offseason. Prague was plagued by frustration after a premature postseason exit despite winning the S88 Victory Cup, and GM Acyd Burn is not shy to be aggressive in his moves to position his team as best as he can for the future. For now, all Nico can really look forward to is the end. Sadly I won't be recreating at the deadline, so we'll see how enjoyable this final season will be.
