There is a hard cap of 90, and a soft cap 1 above 85 and a soft cap of 3 above 80. So you could have one stat at 90 and 2 at 85 per player.

Timothy Brown Halifax 21st RW | 5'11" | 165 lbs. Overview Timothy Brown is a player that impacts the game in more ways than one. While you may constantly notice him on the scoresheet, he is also quietly one of the best defensive forwards in the VHLM. During his rookie season with Saskatoon, Brown had a rocky start but emerged as both a deadly scoring threat and a responsible defensive forward later on in the season. His two-way playing style allowed him to be effective on special teams, logging a large amount of minutes in that category for the Wild. With the 12th overall selection, Brown was taken by the Seattle Bears in the VHL draft, and 2nd overall by the Halifax 21st in the VHLM draft. He was not satisfied with his point totals last year, and will be looking to lead the 21st to a playoff berth this season. Strengths Scoring Ability - Brown has a knack for putting the puck in the net. He finds loose rebounds and is able to position himself to receive passes from teammates. Brown’s wicked slapshot is one of the most notable parts of his game. Playing on the powerplay for Saskatoon last season, he would frequently be lined up at defense so he could unleash one-timers from the point. Brown ended up scoring 9 goals on the powerplay this way. Defensive Awareness - One of the lesser known facts about Brown is that he was a defenseman throughout much of minor hockey. He played defense from Novice to Bantam, before making the switch to the wing his first year of Midget hockey in the hopes that it would increase his chances of playing in the big leagues. This is why his awareness for defensive positioning is exceptional. Brown knows exactly where he’s supposed to be at all times, and always seems to be in position. His defensive capabilities are argued to be on par with his scoring prowess, making him an elite two-way player. Physicality - Brown’s 5’1”, 165 pound frame doesn’t exactly scream “power forward”. However, he is surprisingly physical for such a small player. Finishing with 144 hits with Saskatoon last year (3rd highest on the team), he can be considered a legitimate checking forward despite his small stature. Some scouts believe that he takes many opposing players by surprise because of his ferocity on the forecheck. Weaknesses Playmaking Ability - There are many aspects of Brown’s game that are exceptional, but one area that he is lacking in is definitely his ability to make plays. While generating offense Brown is purely a goal scorer. He can sometimes be a selfish player, and this showed on the stats sheet last year as he had more goals than assists. While he does make the occasional pass to his teammates, most of his recorded assists are from rebounds. If Brown wants to take his game to the next level, he’ll have to find ways to get his teammates more involved. Faceoffs - His ability at taking faceoffs is the worst part of Brown’s game by far. Why would faceoffs be important for a winger, you might ask? It’s because of the large amount of time he spends on the penalty kill. When you’re a forward on the penalty kill you’ll have to take the odd faceoff here and there. While this skill is not a necessity, improving his faceoff ability could give him a bit of an edge on special teams play.

The text in the bottom right is very nice, it stands out and it is easy to read. The way the background fades from red to black is cool. I think the logo looks pretty sharp, and I like how you also put a logo on the helmet. I dislike how bright the white part of his jersey is, it's kind of hard on the eyes. Rating 8/10

I think the jersey and the logo look great.The red, purple and blue contrast very nicely. I like how the text pixelates at the bottom, it reminds me of the thanos snap effect from the avengers. One thing I don't like is how you spelled his name wrong, but otherwise this graphic looks very good. 8/10

With the conclusion of the VHL draft, Timothy Brown has been drafted by Seattle and now has his sights set on the VHLM draft. Brown had a respectable season with the 7th place Saskatoon Wild, putting up 21 points and 19 assists on the year. Brown was noted mostly for his defensive play, scoring capability and physicality. This was enough to be noticed by the Seattle Bears who took Brown with the 12th overall selection, the final pick of the first round. Saskatoon, Saskatchewan - In the spirit of hockey and the VHLM offseason, right winger Timothy Brown has recently taken up the sport of golf. However, he has left many golf instructors baffled at the sight of his poor golfing ability. One particular clip on the internet shows Brown driving the ball wide right of the course, and nearly striking a maintenance guy on a lawn mower. When asked for comment, a bystander had this to say about Brown; “His technique is horrible, I’ve never seen anything quite like it. Usually hockey players do well at golf”. Sand traps and water hazards have become familiar sights for Brown, who just can’t seem to stay on the fairway. A silver lining is that Brown recently set a personal best, sitting at 42 over par on an 18 hole course. When we asked Timothy about his golf experience, his response? “Maybe I should just stick to hockey”.

The First 20 Games It was throughout the first 20 games of my season that a meme was created in the Saskatoon locker room, the meme being that Brown was not capable of scoring a goal. In game 3 he recorded an assist, but didn’t record his first goal until game 20 of the regular season. Brown was moved to the first line in an attempt to get him his first goal, and when he was moved back to the third line teammate @Boragina famously said, “Please don’t put me back with the curse Timothy Brown”. The curse was also the inspiration for this meme I made: The Next 52 Games The rest of the season was very productive, with Brown putting up 20 goals and 18 assists for a total of 40 points on the season, while playing the majority of the season on the third line. The only Saskatoon rookie with more points was Jay Jones, the second line center for most of the season. It was during this part of the season that Brown became a player that was actually capable of putting up points. Special Teams It appears that Brown shined on special teams this season, as almost half of his total goals were on special teams. In fact, his first goal of the season was a shorthanded goal against Philadelphia. With 8 powerplay goals and the lone shorthanded goal, 9 out of his 21 goals were not recorded at even strength for Brown. Hitting and +/- Almost nobody on Saskatoon had anything added to their checking stats. Brown’s checking was 60, so this is why he had 144 hits on the year, good for third on the team. +/- left something to be desired, however, as it was -8. I suspect this had something to do with the high number of special teams minutes Brown had this year. The Playoffs Brown had a pretty good playoffs, with a goal and 4 assists in the 6 games played against second place Yukon. He was a major force on the Wild’s offense with a total of 20 shots and 13 hits. Saskatoon gave the Yukon Rush a pretty good run, winning games three and four but ultimately failing to win the series. This proved to be the biggest series the Rush had to face en route to the finals on the other hand, since Vegas only managed to beat them once. The Offseason The offseason will be an exciting one for Timothy Brown for sure, as he has his first draft to look forward to. After all of my updates for this week go through, Brown should have the second highest TPE for any player eligible for the VHLM draft. I have him projected to go 2nd or 3rd, but it’s been pointed out to me that he could drop due to the high need for goalies and defensemen this draft. Meanwhile, Brown is being double drafted. He should be drafted somewhere in the early second round of the VHL draft as well. I’m hoping that he gets drafted to a rebuilder, so he would be able to grow with the team as they improve in the coming seasons. 530 words, using for week ending May 10
