I am in the top 10 in points so I have no complaints.

It's been pretty uneventful so far, I've been to a graduation and that's about it.

I hope not, I'm pretty tired of those.

4. Who has been the most surprising player of the season?

Probably my player if we're talking about Riga specifically. I don't think anyone expected him to be doing that well.

5. How are your Prediction Points lining up with actual events of the season?

I have no idea. I think I picked a lot of Moscow players so so far so good I think.

6. What team outside of Riga has the biggest shot at winning it all?

Probably Moscow, it would also be good for my prediction TPE.

1. How's the start of the season going for your player? Very good, I'm 4th in points for defensemen and on pace to shatter my career high.

5. What's the hardest aspect of hockey to get a grasp of? After watching these playoffs, I'd say what a kicking motion is and apparently what is offside.

4.  Any advice for the first time playoff teammates? You might not get all the ice time you want, but enjoy the ride. Your time will come to shine eventually.

5.  Only 5 teams left in the NHL, order them by your preference of winning. Edmonton, Colorado, New York, Tampa Bay, Carolina.

6. We're almost into summer - any big plans? My sister's graduation is in a few weeks.

While on paper the series seems very even; my heart says Edmonton but head says Calgary as they have peppered Dallas tender in the last round and should score a ton more against Smith/Edmonton. Only question will be about shutting down Edmonton offense as it is also far better then what Dallas had to offer. I am still taking Calgary in 5 games as I think they will roll Edmonton with the physical play and will get to Smith at the end of the day. 

One thing I feel people forget is that Edmonton's offense is a lot better than the Stars. Anyone who paid attention to the first round will realize Smith has been great as well. I think it will be a 7 game series either way.

1. We are off to a really great start. Who’s been the mvp of the team so far? I'd say Reinhart. He's the reason we've won a lot of games.

2. Tobias Reinhart is the early league leader in shutouts. How many will he have by the end of the season? I'm going to say 11, seems like a good number. I think he'll slow down, this pace isn't sustainable.

3. What team scares you the most in the league based on these early games? Seattle is right there with us, I'd say they scare me the most.

4. Best fast food burger. Has to be a chain restaurant, but I’ll except small ones too even if they only have a few stores! Five Guys burgers are amazing, if a little bit more expensive than most fast food chains. It's better food so it is worth it.

5. What series are you looking forward to the most in round 1 of the NHL playoffs? Tampa and Toronto. Win or lose it will be fun to see Leafs fans' reactions after the series. Also Edmonton because I'm a fan, obviously.

6. Who’s your favourite junior team? It can be anywhere in the world. Mines the Lethbridge Hurricanes! I'm a big Swift Current Broncos enjoyer, been to maybe 30 or 40 games in my life and it's a pretty far drive for me.

2. Who is our playoff MVP at the moment? Probably Sandstrom, I don't see it being anyone else.

6. I think Calgary is the favorite to win the cup, who is your favorite? Vancouver was my guess in the VHL bracket challenge.

Series 3, Game 4: Houston Bulls vs. Halifax 21st 

This contest saw no goals through the first 20 minutes of play. Halifax opened the scoring in the 2nd period, and Houston responded with 2 goals of their own to bring a 2-1 lead into the third period. The third period saw a crazy amount of offense. Halifax scored two, followed by 4 unanswered by the Bulls. Halifax would go on to score another pair and the game ended 6-5 in favor of the Houston Bulls. Sam Tombstone had to enter the net in the 3rd for the 21st after their starter ChickenLittle allowed 5 goals.

Series 4, Game 4: Ottawa Lynx vs. Mexico City Kings 

The Kings had a very dominant series but finished this one off Jets vs Oilers style, as it came down to the wire in the end. Both teams got a lot of their offense out of their system in the first period. The score was 3-3 after the first 20 minutes. The 2nd period saw only 1 goal from Ottawa, and the Lynx would add another early in the third. A few minutes later the Kings responded with a goal of their own, and they went on to tie it with 3 minutes left in the third. The game went to overtime, in which Tomas Sogaard scored the game winner for Mexico on a short handed goal.

The Riga Reign are preparing for their upcoming playoff series against the Prague Phantoms. The Reign are a very young team this season so VHL playoffs will be a new experience for many. Rookies Biggie Cheese, Alexandre Leduc and Yun Chiang in particular will see their first bit of playoff action in the upcoming sims. The youngsters Tobias Reinhart and Donny Carter have played a mere 2 games in the playoffs, so it will be a new experience for them as well. After a pretty mediocre regular season, there is a big question mark in net for the Reign. They do not usually know what they are getting from Reinhart from night to night. The saving grace for the Reign might be the playoff experience of Battre Sandstrom and Nils Tallinder. Sandstrom has played a total of 50 playoff games, and Tallinder has played 32. They are seasoned veterans in that regard so they will be heavily relied upon to lead this inexperienced Riga team.

1. What role do you hope to see your player take in the S82 VHLM playoffs? I will be the water boy since I'm not in the VHLM anymore.

2. Fresco has to drink a beer of our choice if we win the Victory Cup, what beer should we have him drink? Bud Light, the trademark beer of Florida Man.

3. Where would you have the team go celebrate if they win? My hometown, it's out in the middle of nowhere so we can be as loud as we want and no cops.

4. Is there an opponent that makes you nervous in these playoffs? If so, who? Yes, Philadelphia. Even though Alex isn't the GM anymore they might have some trickery up their sleeves.

5. Do you have any interest in applying for one of the 4 GM positions open? No. I don't want to be a GM.

6. With the "meta" fix coming out, will you change your players build or try to keep it the same? The meta was treated unfairly. Now we have to learn a new system? Sounds like a lot of work.
