playoffs is always a very exciting time of the season, and for bratislava and jebediah there is no exception. being agm in bratislava brings just that little bit extra passion, and having my player on the team to be a part it is a great bonus. i think this is the first time i've had my own player on a team i've managed in the playoffs. i traded myself away right before i won a cup in malmo, but i think that was worth it. sims literally just happened and the brat watchers took a game from rome on their home ice, so as long as we manage to do our job on home ice things are looking good! jebediah even managed to pick up a big game winner there in game two. plenty of doinks will be smoked in celebration. the gladiators are actually quite a tough matchup for the brats. we had by far the worst record against them compared to the other teams in the league. looking at both of the games in the series so far i am very happy with our performance. if we keep this level of play up i think we have a great chance of playing for the cup!

another season is almost in the books, and again i find myself asking where has the time gone? it seems like just yesterday jebediah big ol doinks in amish was lacing up the skates for his very first game in bratislava and the vhle. it's been a pretty consistent season from jeb's side of things. some steady improvement has been seen, and he has been rewarded with a decent haul of points. with 52 points in 66 games, he looks set to break his previous record of 56 points. being my first proper defenceman, i really didn't know what to expect long term for my player. at first it was kind of disappointing not seeing all the points start to pile up, but i think the whole league has seen a drop in scoring compared to what i was used to pre hybrid attributes. on top of that, this has been by far the most competitive season in the vhle which i think has lead to a bit of a drop in scoring. big doinks is currently 3rd amongst defencemen for points, so i can't be upset! maybe he can go on a bit of a streak and take 2nd.

Bratislava Watchmen Press Conference Week Ending 9/24 trade deadline edition! 1. If you were Bratislava GM, which area of the team would you look to strengthen in a trade, and why? 2. There has been basically no trade activity around the league, why do you think that is? 3. For those of you that have been VHL drafted, which team will you be graduating to, and are you excited? For the moths that haven't been drafted, do you have a preference or any hopes for the eventual VHL draft? 4. Are you at all interested in becoming a GM in one of the leagues? Or have you had past GM experience? 5. Can you recommend me an awesome band that I've probably never heard of? 6. If you were in charge of taking the team out to dinner, what kind of restaurant are you taking us to? -
i completely forgot to cap out on tpe last week with my .com article and surprisingly, i'm not bothered by it. in my first stint here in the vhl, once i became aware of all the various ways of earning tpe i dove right in head first. of course a lot of that had to do with the immense enthusiasm of enjoying a new hobby, but it became more than that. i was obsessed with capping out every week. there was nothing that could stop me from getting that oh so glorious 12 weekly tpe. it carried on throughout my first player's career, and bled into the next. believe it or not i was neck and neck with spartan for the entire time i was active on that player, and the unspoken competition between us kept me going just that little bit more. but i burnt out, and spartan went on to break the tpe record lmao. i'm not sure what that eventual break from the vhl did to me, but i don't feel that need to earn tpe even if i'm not in the mood to do all of the tasks. and that's ok.

ESPN.SK - it has been another great week for the watchers of bratislava and star defenceman jebediah big ol doinks in amish. it was a week which was filled with tough matchups, yet bratislava maintained their pace with the rest of the league and even improved up to 3rd overall, surpassing stockholm and cologne in the process. boasting the 2nd best defensive record in the vhle, the brats have built a solid unit on the blueline as well as in the net. it looked like up and coming young goaler WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW had solidified the number one position early on, but some shaky starts have paved the way for the experienced netminder jonny elgar to steal the spotlight. in 10 starts he has the highest save percentage and lowest goals against average in the league. on top of that, rookie defenceman sunset moth has taken to the league like a moth to the flame (heh) and leads the team in shots blocked and hits, while sharing the lead for assists with jebediah big ol doinks in amish. if the watchers can find a way to build upon the early momentum they will be a formidable force to take on as the games go by.

Bratislava Watchmen Press Conference Week Ending 9/3 plz answer edition! 1. Were you worried about the rest of the season after the disaster 0-4 start? 2. The top five teams in the league are all really close together still, do you see that continuing? 3. Which team do you think will end up being our biggest competition? 4. Who do you think would be the best tour guide on the team, and why is it rory? 5. Do you follow any sports outside of sim leagues? If so, which ones are your favourites? 6. Have you watched or read anything great recently? I'd love some recommendations. -
the vhle season is well underway with each team having played ten games. new to the league defenceman jebediah big ol doinks in amish has started off well and has picked up seven points so far. only one goal for the offensive defenceman, but six assists means he is getting involved in the right areas of the ice. there are still improvements to be made, mostly on the defensive side of his game, but as he gains experience in the league expect him to really come into his own. it was actually a rough first few games not only for jebediah, but for bratislava as a whole. a quick four game losing streak for the team, as well as absolutely zero production from jeb meant an 0-4 start to the season and a wake up call for the playoff hopefuls. however, in the six games since the loss the watchmen have gone an impressive 5-1, bringing them back to that .500 mark on the season. taking two wins against vasteras, and another against cologne, they have shown they can hang with the best of the league. with all of their sights set fully forward, bratislava aims to put the rough start behind them and really get their season going.

season 90 is not very far away and all of the watchmen of bratislava are excited for what should be a solid season. general manager rory had a great draft, taking a team with only one defencemen and five forwards, into a solid roster consisting of eight forwards and five defencemen. among those are the dynamic duo spanish moon moth and sunset moth, two players that may struggle to begin with, but project to be great contributors as the season progresses. focusing on defensive depth first, rory went ahead and picked walter fitzroy jr with the first selection of the draft. shortly after that pick they traded for the 6th pick in the draft and selected jebediah big ol doinks in amish. both of these players will be key to any success that bratislava may enjoy. the last pick that ended up being a roster player for them was made in the 4th round at 23. the watchmen selected goaltender WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW who may look to finally get some in game experience following a season which was spent on the bench observing the game. with the great additions in the draft, along with graduating and returning players like harry callahan and otis boudreaux jr, the watchmen look to make a solid run for the playoffs.
