  5. Thoughts on the upcoming season and my future for my player I guess. For the upcoming season for Prague, I doubt we'll be competitive again, this season was weird where we probably should've at the least been a playin team but we weren't. shit the bed towards the end of the season and didn't make it. The season coming will most likely waiting for the prospects to grow @domg5, @Gaikoku-hito, @Kisslinger, @yevty and be competitive the season after not including if @diamond_ace decides to make moves this season or not well see. Regards to me player last season hopefully he wont be doggy again lol, towards the end he started producing more but compared to the rookie season he was pretty shit. this upcoming one with Prague's veteran retiring and Block being traded hopefully with more ice time he'll produce, ill be happy if he gets more points then the rookie season if less, well fuck. For the future of my player I have a better idea of what i want to do with him, in the beginning when I first started i wanted him to be a more defensive defenseman rather then the offensive I'm building now but as time went on i didn't know what i wanted so there was no real will or want to really get as much tpe as I could, at the very least not claim welfare every other week. For the topic of my player, past and the future I might try to do a podcast. Seems like it would be easier to get my thoughts out regarding him and the VHL in general verbally the nit would be to type out a vhl.com article or media spot. do one big podcast starting from when i first joined, to now, to the future. In regards to Point tasks now much like earlier if I don't have a clear idea or thought of what I want to type it makes doing them harder and longer, having an idea helps get out those media spots, especially not having the patience without the idea to sit down and type it out without having music or a movie going on in the background. To conclude this I guess i will actively start trying to max earn if not max stop using the welfare and get those two extra tp, have a more clear idea of what i want my player to do more motivation to get those media spots done. And lastly having a better understanding of how i want to build this player and the next, the main goal is to do a podcast at some point to get a feel of it, see if its easier to speak vocally rather then type. 6. Making this draft list two in the morning because I didn't realize the draft was tomorrow/today, Prague has two picks in the first round, two in the second round, and the last one in the third round for a total of five. Same as the last draft I'll pick who I think Prague should draft at there picks and where they stand in the draft list by tpe, how they've grown so far in the league and the benefits they could give to Prague so lets get into at. #2 - Battre Sandstrom - Tpe 338 - Saskatoon Wild Battre Sandstrom is a 6'8" 250 pound defenseman coming from Sweden, Battre is a strong offensively puck handling defenseman, he likes to have control of the puck to make plays on the ice while also having a shoot first mentality that shows on the scoresheet from the two seasons he has played in the VHLM. While being an offensive-defenseman Sandstrom is not a liability in his own end, next to his shooting his defensive abilities are at the top of his game along with offensive. The main weakness in this young defender is that he doesn't use his body more then he has to, with being 6'8" he is taller then most competition that he faces, he could easily crush the opposition if the need arises but doesn't take the opportunity to use his height and weight to his advantage. With a score/shoot first mentality we don't see Sandstrom pass to often, takes control of the play by himself which leads to turnover in both ends of the ice. Overall for strength he will come out the gates with force and I see this young defender becoming s offensive monster with the defensive play to back it up, defensively these are weakness that can always be taught to use to his advantage as he grows into the superstar he will eventually be. Season 75 saw him drafted to the Saskatoon Wild where the young defender was a point per game and led scoring amongst defenseman with 34 goals with 18 of those goals coming from the power play with 5 game winning goals, with an additional 43 assists for 75 points and came in 6th in points out of defenseman just two points behind teammate Silas LeFriend. Defensively he blocked 96 shots and had 116 hits during the season showing he is no slouch when it comes to playing defensively although he could use his big frame more. Overall he looks to be Elite offensive defenseman that is looking to move up into big league strong out of the gate. On a side note in regards to the first/second draft pick it seems to be a consensus that Red Lite will be the first overall pick, with Sandstrom going second and Prague Can't wait to draft this kid into the organization. #15 - Philip Stein - Tpe 203 - The Ottawa Lynx Around the 15th pick mark there is a plethora of left wingers and I have decided to go with Philip Stein. The 21 year old American stand at 6'2" weighing 250 pounds. Stein is a speedy playmaker forward that scored 50 points throughout the season with the Ottawa Lynx, 20 goals and 30 assist with a +/-53. Stein played on a bad Lynx team that came last in the VHLM and was second in points amongst the team just four points behind teammate Aivars Kiris. Stein signed early into the season with the Ottawa Lynx that ended the season 13-57. Philip looked like a gem amongst the rough and as the season went on he continued to develop his game into what we've seen at the end of the season. Prague would be glad to draft the winger as he'll probably down in the minors for another year to continue his growth, with his skills and the rate he is growing he should be drafted around the top ten players in the VHLM draft where hopefully he'll get a strong team to play with where he'll be able to show off his playmaking skills with partners that have the right skillset to match his play. Whenever and whoever drafts this young star will be glad to move him up into there ranks. @IHateBobNutting is a first gen guy whos been maxing out his tpe gain other then the odd week, making graphics, VHL.coms, press conferences, and just started doing a podcast on his last update. He's a max earner who I'm sure most VHL gm's have there eyes on and that Prague would be glad to welcome amongst there midst. #20 - Henry Tucker - Tpe 186 - Minnesota Storm For the 20th pick of the draft Prague Phantoms select Henry Tucker. 6'3" American born right winger signed with the Miami Marauders as a depth piece with onyl 13 games left in the 74th season, only getting 1 point within those games. Tucker played all 18 games in the playoffs but didn't get a point. with limited time on ice he got 3 shots and 9 hits he and Miami won the Founders cup for season 74. His first season was slow as the young rookie played on bottom line with limited minutes. Season 75 Henry was drafted 73rd overall to the Minnesota Storm where Henry had massive growth over the off-season to his game. In 72 games he got 43 points, 12 goals and 31 assists. With a +/ -30 he was in the penalty box the same amount of minutes games he played 72 minutes, most likely coming from the fact he had 200 hits on the dot using his bigger frame to his advantage and is most likely where all the penalties came from. With the amount he grew in the off-season from s74-s75 we'll most likely see the winger develop his game even more into a power forward he already is. Offensively he has a huge presence on the ice not being scared to play the puck and throw his body around, defensively is where his games clearly lacks along with his discipline so he can help out in his own end and stay out of the penalty box. As he continues to grow his game and improve on his defense Tucker will be a force to be reckoned with when he gets into the VHL and Prague would be glad to have this juggernaut on there offence. @NotSoGood88 Is also a first gen guy whos tpe gain is on the higher end but not maxing, claiming welfare alongside Media spots and affiliate, the media spots are a fun read and as he continues to update and grow his player he'll be a star piece to whoever drafts him in the VHL. #25 - Loic Trepanier - Tpe 141 - Halifax 21st With the 25th pick of the draft Prague Phantoms select goalie Loic trepanier. The 6'0" 175 pound 18 year old from Canada signed with the Halifax 21st where he only played 7 games out of the season, 3 wins and 4 losses. He had a .874 save percentage and a 3.29 goals against which isn't the greatest but the young player played limited games where Halifax just missed out on play offs by a single point so they played there starter most of the games. There's not much to say about the young goaltender, he's scouted to go 28th in the VHLM dispersal draft but may get drafted earlier or later depending on if a team wants the young goaltender and hopefully he'll get drafted by a team where he can play majority of the games and continue to grow his own game out. Prague does have one more pick at 36 but at this point maybe even earlier GMs are drafting for the diamond in the rough, I'm sure @diamond_ace has his own plans for the upcoming draft along with the help of @domg5. It wouldn't be a surprise to see d_a trade some picks for a later draft or for a other rookie prospect or player from a team. 1346 words Will claim 01/24 and 01/31 if able
  7. 1) Good deal on both sides, we get a first round pick and hopefully she will win a cup with DC 2) i havent payed attention to off-season changes just dom becoming agm which is great 3) Alot of our experienced teammates are gone from last season, but this upcoming one has quite a few rookies coming up. In a season or two as they grow well be a contender 4) Watching WJC will be fun this year with four rookies playing on team canada, will be great for Bouchard and Gobiel to play with eachother before they come up 5) all i wanted was a Prague icon and we got it 6) Cant wait to watch the Canadian division should be pretty fun, kinda want SJ to suck again this season because they missed out on stuetzle
  8. 1} our second pick is around 20 i believe and theres a shitload of left wingers there may aswell take one of em 2} far as i know our eyes are on Battre Sandstorm which will help our blueline more 3) I need to stop wasting my money on random shit, save more 4} D.c Dragons go win 5) last season i played like shit, this coming season i need to improve my game overall to be a leader on the blueline 6) honestly in a season or two more and well get there with this team
  9. With this Media spot I will be looking at the Prague Phantoms rookie prospects, how they've done so far in there career up to now and what it means to Prague in the upcoming seasons, sorting them by the tpe they have now Robert Bouchard Tpe 311 - Philadelphia Reapers - Drafted 24th overall Starting off with Robert Bouchard, a young 16 year old Centreman who signed with the Minnesota Storm halfway through the season. In those games he was almost a point per game player with 27 points, 14 goals and 13 assists, showing even early on in his VHLM career what skill he had. Ending the season with a -21 on a bad Minnesota team was to be expected and doesn't showcase his full skill. Season 75 showcased Bouchard being drafted by the Philadelphia Reapers 7th overall. This season we saw the Reapers finish first in the western division and second overall in the VHLM With Bouchard leading the team in points with 109 points, 46 goals and 63 assists becoming the 3rd league leader in points, one point behind second place and five behind the first. Ending the season with a +/- 46 and more then doubling his shots, with only 18 penalty minutes he's not much of a goon and has managed to stay out of the box more then the majority of the season and has 7 game winning goals with 10 power play goals. To me he's looking like a future 1c playmaker being able to make plays that allows his team to gain leads but also finding opportunities for himself to score. Prague will be happy to have him come up into the VHL next season and will be a great asset alongside John LeClair and Thomas Landry, also along with the next upcoming Prague rookie Dominic Gobeil. With how fast Robert Bouchard is growing he will quickly become Pragues first line centreman and future superstar. Dominic Gobeil Tpe 300 - Mexico City Kings - Drafted 46th overall Also a late joiner into the season Dominic signed with the Saskatoon Wild playing two more games then Bouchard. In 34 games he didn't have the start Bouch did but the Wild were a worse team at the time compared to Minnesota, five points, one goal and 4 assist with a -10, not the best but joining late into the VHLM it doesn't really mean that much. Season 75 we saw him being drafted 28th overall to the Houston Bulls. There he put up 47 points in 46 games played, 22 goals and 25 assists. A highlight on the Bulls who weren't doing the greatest in the standings which led to him being traded to the Mexico City Kings. Not sure what happened there with his point production, with only adding 3 goals and 5 assist in the rest of the season it may be the line he was on or maybe sths didn't like him, but come time that play offs start im sure Gobiel will be a big reason Mexico does great. My expectations Of Gobiel is that he will be another great addition into the Prague lineup and with the help of the older wingers hell be able to grow his game to another level. His build so far is a pass first player and i am expecting him to play alongside Bouchard well into there years as a Prague Phantom. They'll both play well off each other hopefully as Prague's two-headed beast and be the other superstar alongside the other. Silas Lefriend Tpe 247 - Saskatoon Wild - Drafted 40 overall Season 74 saw huge group of people join and Silas Lefriend was another that joined. The 6'3' Defenseman Signed with the Saskatoon Wild midway into the season notching himself 20 points, 4 goals and 16 assists with a +20 in 38 games played. The Wild finished 5th in the rankings and I'm sure the young defender was a great signing that helped them get there, they lost in the first round but Silas was over a point per game with 6 and helped them win a game. Going into season 75 Silas Lefriend was drafted back into the Saskatoon Wild and was over a point per game this season with them netting 14 goals, 63 assists for 77 points in the season. His improvement helped the Wild finish one up from the last season ending 4th in the rankings and going into this seasons play offs he'll be a big reason they have a chance to win it all. His build judging from the 63 assists allows him to be a playmaking defender while not shrugging his play in his own end with 183 hits and 76 shots blocked. With Seabass Perrin and Wolf Stansson Jr retiring next season it will be a big help having the young defender come into Prague blue line. As Lefriend keeps growing he'll step in the skates of Prague's great Perrin and Stansson. Michael Fletcher Tpe 250 - Saskatoon Wild - Drafted 53rd overall The final prospect of Pragues was not made with there own pick, originally drafted by the Chicago Phoenix the Phantom GM traded a season 76 4th round pick for Fletcher that if my memory is correct, he is to be the back goaltender too Woody McPine and to be the starter after his retirement. The 6'0" Goalie signed with the San Diego Marlins pretty early into the season 74, with 61 games played with them he won only 9 games and a whopping 47 losses, this season San Diego was the worst in the VHLM with his 9 wins and 2 more additional losses in the season. Season 75 he was drafted 44th overall to the Saskatoon Wild where he saw major improvement to his game racking up 39 wins and 23 losses in 64 games played. With a little three more games played this season he let in 19 fewer goals from the season before and ended the season with a .875 save percentage. i don't know fuck all about goalie stats but his goaltending along with great forwards and defense allowed them to finish 4th in the VHLM standings and forth in goalie league goalie stats. With Michael Fletcher coming up next season to play alongside Woody McPine he will be able to grow alongside the other young goaltender and with there goaltending abilities with the other prospects coming up they will be the future of Prague that will finally get them into play offs contention and hopefully be a contender to take it all home. With Pragues disappointing end to the season with not being able to get into the play offs, one thing they can look forward to is watching there upcoming prospects in the VHLM play offs, these prospects have the ability and the growth that can change Prague Phantoms future for the better and take them to the next level needed to succeed in the upcoming seasons. 1161 words claiming for this week and next week
  10. Season 75 end for Riley Knight Gee and the Prague phantoms with disappointment being unable to make it into the play offs. The first half of the season was looking good for the team but with the second half turning to shit with us losing to teams we should be beating, and losing to team we know we can beat stagnated throughout the season. Gee not showing up this season was a big reason the team didn't perform up to the level they should have. An even greater disappointment was not getting the seniors of the team a good play offs run before retiring this season. With 72 games Gee scored one more goal last season and dropped with assists almost in half with only 18 from the 30 last season, with a +/- of -29 a big drop from the +3 season before shows the decline of growth from the season before. With more shots taken this season would have been good but with only one more goal most were probably hopeful shots more than anything. More penalty minutes with hits shows him using the body more most likely leading to the penalties. defensively and offensively Gee declined blocking less shots and even though he took more shots his points declined from his first season. Rileys decline in the season was most likely a reason the team declined in play and with the veterans of the team retiring Gee will have to up his game for next season they wont be there to bail him out of his mistakes.
  11. 1) Nearing the end of the season we kind of just stinted, not improving but i don't think necessarily declining. stagnating became a detriment losing to teams we shouldn't be and to those we know we can beat. offensively and defensively we failed to get the job done. 2) this season i declined hard in play, for the offseason i need to get back in shape and hopefully with the addition of young guns in the next season or two we'll be back to top form 3) The Pro-am tournament is gonna be on again so i plan on going there 4) When i first came to Prague Perin and Stansson helped me alot with my game and i hope throughout my years in Prague ill be able to hone the knowledge they have tought me to be better 5) I never know what to buy people so i just give money, they know what they want now they can get it lol 6) Covid to be gone hopefully
