  3. With thirty-eight games into the season Gee isn't doing the best with 5 goals and 11 assist on the score sheet. Judging from last season where he started off hot at the start of s74 Gee has been struggling to help out the team not only offensively but defensively as well, becoming a liability in both ends has taken a toll on his mentality and is heavily effecting his game and confidence. He's been more aggressive this season already almost catching up to the 28 penalty minutes form last season with 21 this season, beating hits with 34 compared to the 26. A -12 so far into the season isn't good and Gee needs to wake up and start helping out the team more if he wants the team to improve and allow his own game to grow. Coaches have been going over past games with Gee to get him out of his stump and with the encouragement from team mates he is hopeful to get out of this slump and start picking it up midway into the season. " these games have started to effect mentally and it shows in my game, my game has dropped and I cant get into the groove to be able up to my team mates level and to the level I should be at, I'll have to worker harder to improve myself and the team play."
  4. 1} The movie ELF is constantly played in December so i usually end up watching that. 2} it would be alot easier to shop early but whats the point in that xd 3} Adam Sandler 4} not really outdoor sports, for indoors basketball 5} Need to be better defensively for him 6} i think it will but not at the projected time they have it planned for
  5. With 11 games into the season 75 Riley Knight Gee is struggling to put himself on the score board only racking up two assists in those eleven games, +/- -8 is not very good but it is still early in the season. Gee is hoping to find his groove on the ice and with the team to start helping out on the scoreboard. Defensively he is doing alright with 19 shots blocked and 11 hits, nearly halfway to what he had last season in hits. "I am playing like shit, I know I am and its frustrating me. I can see and feel it effecting my game especially after these last few games we played against Davos and Riga. In the Davos game we won 5-4 in the shootout and i still was not able to get on the scoreboard, even robbed of a goal in the shootout. Riga game we won 6-3 and again no production from me. The frustration and nerves is getting to me especially after signing this new contract with Prague I feel like I am letting them down, letting management and the team down. I'm hoping I can get out of this rut or mental block and be more of a productive player but the best I can do right now is play the best I can in our own end."
  6. 1. think all around as a team were doing good, main area i think is in our own end that we lose in 2. thomas landry or more pengu i think 3. drink chocolate milk before every game 4. Sticking to a routine benefits me more, easier to stay on track 5. neither 6. 85
  7. 1)pretty disappointing to get swept 3-0, but for myself I got a goal and assist so it lessens the blow a bit 2) for my rookie season I got 38 points which I think is pretty good 3) made it into playoffs it was better then the last few seasons 4) gotta work on my defence more 5) honestly not to sure what I’d do 6) I suck at golfing but it’s fun to play lol
  8. "My name Jeremy Bones From Prague Morning News and I am here with Riley Knight Gee of the Prague Phantoms. I'm going to asks Mr. Gee quite a few questions about his career so far within the VHLM and VHL, his personal life and his thought to the future, lets get it started." JB: I would like to start with asking how you think your rookie season went with the Prague Phantoms? RKG: For my rookie I think I did fairly well, I ended the season with 8 goals and 30 assists for a total of 38 points which I'm proud of. I stayed out of the box for the majority of the season with 28 penalty minutes most of those penalties were stupid mistakes that I can easily fix. I'm not the biggest player on the ice so i don't use the body as much but for whatever reason I'm not scared of blocking the puck if it means helping our goalie out a bit with 149 shots blocked, two of the goals were a game winner and a shorthanded goal which is pretty good. Overall I think it was a pretty decent season but there is still a lot of work I can do to improve my game. JB: At the end there you mentioned that you have quite a bit to improve, care to provide on what that is? RKG: I know I definitely focus more on my offensive game which leads to me making more mistakes in my defensive game. Defensively I need to be more aware whether it being fighting in front of the net or knowing where the puck and opposing team players are at. Improving on my speed and puck handling is something I want to improve on myself, when I'm in the play I can do my job but to keep up with the play or to take control of the play I need to be faster with my feet and hands. A big obvious for myself is I need to get stronger, like I said I'm smaller then most of the league so I get pushed around more easily. JB: This season Prague made it into the play ins for play offs and even though you guys lost what are your thoughts? RKG: Overall we're all disappointed with the outcome of it, it sucks that we couldn't even take a game off of Helsinki. I got 2 points in 3 games, glad I could somewhat help the team out on the scoresheet but feel like I should've played better defensively and helped out our goalie. It fucking sucks not much more to say. JB: Now that you've played with your team for a year how do you feel about them, whos your favorite team mate to play with or hang out with? RKG: I'm more of a quiet person so coming into the team at the start of the season was weird, a lot of them had already spent seasons together and know each other so to come into the team was harder, they're all friendly so it made it easy to mesh into the team easily. For most favorite to play with would have to be Cinnamon Block just because I have learned to play the game better playing alongside and watching from the bench. It was relieving I guess to have Poremba getting traded here I played with him in Houston so i was already familiar with him. JB: Now I would like to move onto the more personal side of yourself, What's your favorite thing about living in Prague? RKG: I think it would have to be the sightseeing for myself, I like learning about history so coming to Prague where there's tone of it has been great, and not just the history but the food is different so trying all sorts of it has been fun, I'm a picky eater so to try most of it has been hard and fun. JB: What do you do in your spare time? RKG: Like i said in the previous question i like history, I also like Pokémon so Pokémon Go has been great for me here, to just walk around collecting stops while sightseeing and learning while collecting Pokémon. My two favorite places to visit has to the the castles and the Astronomical clock. The castles are big and beautiful that it takes quite awhile to explore and the clock too is beautiful to look at. Other then exploring Prague its usually just playing hockey. JB: What are your plans for the off season? RKG: Main thing is go back to Laine's home and playin in his off season tournament, last year was fun and with this year adding more players I'm sure it'll be even more fun and better, I can't wait to catch up with everyone again. I can't wait to get back to Canada and visit my family especially when there is a big time difference where our schedules don't align right so its hard to at least facetime or call them when we can. Other then that just training to get better for the next season coming. JB: What got you into professional hockey, what your first experience? RKG: My dad was what got me into hockey, he's the one that taught me how to skate and taught me how to play the game being my coach growing up, along with that he was also my brothers coach so all his home and most of the away games I'd get to go watch. Another thing is a few of my cousins were in my brothers age group so seeing them all play together made me want too play along side them all, which was also my first experience watching hockey in general. JB: We've talked about what you liked about living in Prague, what about what's difficult about living here? RKG: Being so far away from my family is the hardest thing, worse so that I can't just easily call them when I want to or even in my own time when I'm available too because of there schedules, the time change between us makes it hard. The other two are language barrier along with food, as i said earlier I'm a pretty picky eater so eating here has been hard but its getting a lot easier, now that I've been here for awhile I'm getting used to the food but the language barrier is a little different and harder to learn to get acquainted with the locals, most of them have decent English but it'll be easier if I could speak there main language. JB: Who's been your favorite teammate to play with in the VHL or VHLM? RKG: Markus Schauer, without a doubt I felt playing alongside him in my final year of the VHLM is what allowed me to dominate as hard as I did then. Also a quick shout to Gregg Stallion who was a joy to play with in my first year with the Houston Bulls JB: Moving on from your life I'd like to ask a couple questions regarding the VHL, what's your thought on the upcoming draft? RKG: I think it's exciting watch the new players get drafted and especially with this draft it's supposed to be a deep draft with the amount of players there are, it will be fun to watch. JB: Thoughts on the upcoming season? RKG: Judging from this season I think we'll do better next year, hopefully we will be more competitive in the regular season mostly the play offs if we make it in. With the work I am putting in this offseason to get better for next year I'll hopefully be more effective defensively and offensively, i want to have a crazy year for myself. JB: And our last question of the night we'd like to know what you thoughts are on the recent re-signings of Prague with your own. RKG: So far anyway Gary Tarantino, and Cinnamon Block resigned, I'm excited to play another year with both mainly Cinnamon. Like the last question we'll hopefully be more competitive in the upcoming season for them and the team. As for my own contract I wanted to stay in Prague, I'm learning to love it here and when D_A contacted me about the re-signing he said it would be with a lower pay, i personally don't really care about the money the main thing I wanted out of the contract was the max amount of years I could get so that I'd be able to show and stay in Prague for the rest of my VHL career and hopefully end it here. Talks were short both sides got what they wanted and for the future I think it will benefit both sides of the deal. " And that's all the questions we had for Riley Knight Gee folks, we'd like to thank RKG for sitting with us tonight and answering the questions we've had for him and we hope you all have a good night, this is Jeremy Bones signing out!" Word count: 1518 Claiming for Nov.8/Nov.15/Nov22
  9. Looking at the draft list for the VHL its gonna be quite long, so I figured I'd do my own projected draft for Prague, lets get into it. With there 2nd round draft pick Prague should select the 5'11 Center from Canada Robert Bouchard. In 32 games played with the Minnesota Storm Robert put up 27 points, 14 goals and 13 assists which is pretty good, next year with a full season he'll be a great asset to who drafts him in the VHLM. In terms of updating he is active which is great, his graphics are looking pretty good and his articles #askthebouch are pretty good to read. I'm sure if he stays this way he'll be a great addition to the club. Next up with there 3rd round pick Prague should select Blim Blam McFluble 5'10 left winger from South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. With 34 games played for the Houston Bulls he's gotten 14 points, 5 goals and 9 assists with +/- of -8 which doesn't mean much on a half season with a not so good Bulls team. Updating wise is pretty decent he's doing the essential easy click bang stuff which is nice, always nice to see guys answering press conference questions I personally like it. His name is great and he played for Houston that makes him a first round pick in my books. With there second 3rd round pick Prague selects Anthony Suzuki 6'3 right winger from Montreal, Canada. Anthony has played 28 games getting 4 assists during them, +/- of -18, probably from not producing more, but as he plays and grows im sure he'll be a beast as he plays more. Unlike the first two he has gotten into the s74 play offs and helped the Ottawa Lynx in there 7 games with 3 points, 2 goals and a assist, with one less point in the play offs compared to the regular season i feel like whoever pick up the rookie will get a great player that will pop off in the coming season. Up next in the 5th round they select Franz Ferdinand 6'1 Defensemen from the United Kingdom. Ferdinand played 28 games with the Mexico City Kings amassing 10 points, 2 goals and 8 assist with a +/- of 3,hes blocked 24 shots and has used his body for 41 hits, this big boy ain't scared to use his body to hit or block shots for his team. Hes been doing welfare and practice along with the press conferences and again, i like press conferences so even if he isn't maxing he is gaining. Also when looking through the names in the s75 draft his user is -_____- which looked cool lets get him. With there 6th round pick Prague selects the 6'1 American centremen Happy Gilmore. 5 games played with no points, there's not much to say about him and the main reason I have him here is to say I like Adam Sandler and Happy Gilmore is a good movie
  10. I wasn't sure what to expect heading into my first season in the VHL, but ending the season with thirty-eight points, 8 of them being goals with 30 assists i am pretty satisfied with the season. i think i did more then I expected too but i wasn't sure what to expect. Somehow managed to get a short handed goal and i will choose to believe that it was also the game winning goal. twenty-six hits and hundred forty-nine blocked shots I'm sure means i could up my defensive game. Playing behind Cinnamon Block and Wolf Stansson Jr I'll be able to watch and learn from how they play the game and add it into my own game, being a liability in my own end isn't great but i know what needs to be improved on and that's what ill be practicing in the offseason. Ended with a +3 so that's cool. There not much to say about the Pragues play offs but I'm ok with how I performed in it even if it wasn't the greatest, two points, one goal and one assist, seven shots blocked with two hits, I only managed to get one penalty so at least I stayed out of the box for all of the games except for that one. Prague as a whole is disappointed in the turnout not being able to take off a game from Helsinki but we made the play offs and hopefully next season well make it back and make it further into the play offs, I will have to work harder this offseason and into the next to push us to the next level.
  11. 1] our playoffs is over, but hopefully it will be me 2] i played with laine in Houston so it'll be fun to go against him 3} the intensity, but mostly the competitiveness of it, its a thrill playing in the play offs. 4} how to stay calm when the pressure is on 5} Making this late, Helsinki already win lol 6} i don't pay attention to the other team xd
  12. 1) last season was hitting 140 points with the Houston bulls, but for recently it would have to be getting my first goal with Prague 2) Baseball is fun to play in the offseason 3) think I’m gonna go with mcpine, he’s been a big reason we’ve been winning a lot of games 4) pretty confident, keep playing like we have we’ll make the playoffs 5) I haven’t been here that long so I haven’t really gone out, but so far the weather 6) not really
