  1. Made it properly this time
  2. Oh yeah, forgot to fix that. Worst case just slap a bit in his place and let me know where he belongs, I’ll get it fixed before the sim.
  3. List of things I forgot to change: output name. Fixing now.
  4. Sim delayed by 3 days. Delay will grow exponentially each time a sim is requested.
  5. INDEX @VHL GM You should all know the drill by now but as always send in and confirm your lines to both vhlsim@outlook.com and rpower22@gmail.com. The schedule is made (correctly this time, go me!) so you should be able to set your lines up. If any players don't belong on your team, you are missing any that do, or you are unable to set your lines for any reason (not enough goalies or something) then let me know as soon as possible and I'll get things corrected for you. Here's to a great season everyone!
  6. Normally I wouldn’t be skipping pick 1 but it’s been 20 hours so..... F - Hunter Hearst Helmsley @STZ
  7. You don't need the simulator, you need the client. The simulator is for the simmers.
  8. I’ve never cared for changing the main banner every season; it’s kinda the main design element on the site, a staple of the theme of you will. I don’t like the idea of having that change every 2 months. I also had next to nothing to do with this decision but that’s just my $0.02 on the matter.
  9. I posted two issues with AGM’s a page or two back and I stand by them. I’m not trying to be harsh, I’m just trying to be realistic. It’s a role the league has no real control over and dictating what they must do on a weekly basis kinda goes against the whole point of what they are. That’s why we look at them as a learning experience, not a job. They can 100% be taught how to do GM things without actually doing it all for the GM and without being paid for it. Take @Shaka for example. He signed up for an AGM spot because he wants to GM some day. Didn’t even know the pay splitting was a thing and didn’t care because that’s not his objective, his objective is to learn. I’m sure there are others by the way, he’s just the first that came to mind. We’re accepting they are a thing but I see no reason to formalize it into a role that can be too easily abused. They are a learning experience and should be treated as such.
  10. And GM’s should be teaching them those things but not offloading them which is the slippery slope we enter into if we start expecting AGM’s to do all that. It becomes a mess of who is really the GM and who isn’t. Im all for GM’s engaging their guys and teaching them the ropes, I encourage it. I just don’t want to see a GM hiring someone so that they can do half the job we hired them for.
  11. Because of not needing to work with the graders as much anymore we’ve actually set @DollarAndADream the task of auditing updaters every so often to make sure the work is getting done evenly across all and no one is slacking. We’re working on systems to monitor other jobs.
  12. You specifically mentioned the PC’s; there’s absolutely nothing stopping them from doing the team press conference questions. Absolutely no rule dictates that the GM is the only one who can and they wouldn’t need any pay for it because you could still claim it as regular press conference questions so there’s 2 capped right there instead of the 1 they’d have been getting splitting it with the GM.
  13. There are a couple of main issues with AGM Pay which have been covered before but I’ll re-iterate them. 1. GM’s choose their own AGM’s which means GM’s would be deciding who gets to claim pay. Often it’s someone on their own team so far too easy to just give TPE to one of their players that otherwise isn’t hitting the cap. 2. There’s no consistency in what AGM’s do which means standardizing their pay is incredibly difficult. Some just learn, what many of us believe the position should be, and others run a ton of the team which is what we want to avoid. I get the frustration and honestly we were expecting it but it’s not a position that many of us have ever looked at as official. As @Devise pointed out, if an AGM is doing so much that they should be guaranteed pay every week then frankly they should be a GM, not an AGM. It’s a learning position and always has been.
  14. Never has been and IMO never should be.
  15. Keep in mind the portal has a TPA Tool that can help immensely when trying to look at depreciation related things.
  16. You can’t buy 2 Jagr’s in one season though. Also this all depends highly on the amount of TPE a person is losing.
  17. Or you really save your money and you buy both.
  18. I get pixel mess but you make this sexiness for yourself
  19. Sure I’ll get destroyed again
  20. There definitely could be more going into it. If you look at what @McWolf and @Tagger used to do with it you’ll see more of what the section was created for. The TPE ranking but also more, analysis on players, mock drafts, stuff to help new guys, etc.
  21. It’s not based off performance anymore, it’s just a straight graduation bonus that everyone gets when entering the VHL. But yes, it’s becoming 10 instead of 20.
  22. VHFL follows my players it seems. Thompson was good and I kept winning, Lahtinen is terrible and I’m losing. Oh well.
  23. Per season? You’re thinking far too small. First Gen Weekly Cap: 12* *Gross pay only, taxation of 10 TPE/week to the OBC is required of all first gens.
  24. In b4 we allow unretiring of past players to allow people to chase previously unattainable records at the cost of insane depreciation. *Should clarify for those still paying attention, this isn’t something we are even remotely looking at.
  25. We’ll just have to keep bickering about them until the HoF articles come around.
