You didn’t have to make them 1 by 1 in STHS at least right? Like you could make it in excel to at least have all the attributes as a simple copy.

You can’t really compare many awards in a year by year basis though. In S62 the Stolzy winner had like 140 points or something crazy but we can’t say that should be the standard for winning it. The fact that someone had 70 points and lost it last year doesn’t mean that a forward can’t win this year up against different competition. Every season is different.

Honestly I don’t think people realize how shit simming is now and I have maybe 10% of the workload that you and Jardy and all the former summers had. I press a couple of buttons and everything is updated and all the players are created. I can’t imagine spending hours manually creating players.

You’d think having over a week to come up with this, and only need to write 150 words on it, I would have been more prepared. Yet here I am on Sunday night without having narrowed down exactly who I think the VHL’s unsung hero is. There are frankly too many options. However I’m determined to pick a single person so god damnit that’s what I’m going to do! In my opinion the VHL’s greatest unsung hero is @Will. Sure, many sing his praise so maybe he’s not “unsung” but certainly under appreciated for how much he has truly done. Obviously recently he has taken to mostly portal duties but I don’t mean to make that sound like nothing. I truly believe the portal to be the league’s absolute best commodity. Discord has made discussion easier for the people who don’t like the forum structure and simming has become a lot more consistent but the portal is the greatest thing we have honestly ever created. Instant (Basically) updates, automatic game posting, career stats kept up to date; I could go on and on. He has basically automated every pain in the ass job the league has had. Obviously @Josh and @DilIsPickle have been helping out lately and it’s greatly appreciated but honestly the portal is Will’s baby. Devise and I kinda came up with the initial concept and look but we never dreamed Will would run with it this much. That got long winded enough that this could have been an MS but I’m still not at my main point, the part fewer people know. When I was hired to the blue team it’s because @Higgins was basically holding down the fort by himself (kudos for that) and needed help. Will had gone basically MIA and things were not looking good. Anyone who was around at the time can attest that my first 6 months to a year as blue were not the cleanest. We were drowning and bailing as fast as we could but frankly we couldn’t keep up. Re-enter Will. Not only with the portal but just the veteran blue presence to bring some level headed ness and stability that we needed to weather the storm and get to where we are now, the biggest period of growth the league has ever seen. Had he not come back I don’t think we would have made it. So, I tip my hat to you Will and I owe you a beer if we ever do meet. You saved the league’s collective ass more than most people remotely give you credit for.

Yup, doesn’t even have to be Make a Wish if you don’t want it to be. Any charity is alright so long as you provide proof. Just happens that we needed to pick one for the league to give to.

Hello @Members! ’Tis the season of giving and while the VHL is doing it’s part for you all with our 12 Days of Christmas Extravaganza we thought that as a league, we could be doing more. That is why we are announcing today the first of what will hopefully be an annual VHL Charity Drive! What does this mean? It means as a league we’re opening up our hearts, and wallets, to those in need this holiday season. Specifically the league has chosen the Make a Wish foundation as it’s charity this season and we are asking you all for donations. All proceeds from this will go directly to the charity with the VHL taking 0% off the top, none of it comes to us. So how does this work? A topic has been opened in our donation section and can be found HERE. When you donate just post your confirmation ID in there so we can add it to our total and not confuse it with regular VHL donations. This of course does not fall under the “one per season” donation rule since it isn’t for the VHL. For a donation of $5 or more (you can donate as much or as little as you'd like) you’ll earn 3 TPE. Donating more does not earn you more but it is obviously welcome. In addition, everyone who donates will be entered into a raffle for some extra prizes at the end that aren't TPE based but should be fun. Don’t think we aren’t doing our part as well though. As a thank you for your generosity, the league will match the sum of total donations of all members up to $200 so the more you all donate, the more we will donate. In addition, if the league matching is maxed out (aka if league donations get to at least $200) all members, regardless of if they donated or not, will receive a free doubles week. Donations can be made to the league using our normal link which we will sum up (with proof of amounts) and donate in full to the charity likely around New Years, again with proof of amounts. However if you’d like to donate on your own directly to the charity in order to get a tax receipt (which the league cannot legally supply) you can provide proof of that as well and we will count it the same as a donation through us. In addition to this, if you'd like to donate to a different charity that’s alright as well. Again, simply provide us with proof and we’ll count it for your rewards and our matching. I would like to thank @Banackock for the original idea behind this, I certainly hope it can become a yearly thing. I would also like to thank @gorlab for the above logo as well as @Motzaburger for one he made but we aren’t using for this announcement specifically. Another day, another tier value unlocked. Just because there has been some confusion regarding those; it was tough to make the graphic perfectly clear. What it means by "$80 value x3" is that the giveaway prize (tier 3 in this case which is 7-9 days) is valued at $80 and we'll be giving away three of them. This literally doesn’t even have an article related to to it, we aren’t gonna just slap a graphic up and call it news. Also perhaps consider that just because you don’t see see something posted doesn’t mean we’re doing nothing. We’ve got more important things to figure out then doing something we already hired someone for that doesn’t have an article related to it. But sure, we’re just incompetent because we didn’t give you your ego boost when you asked for it. Even though I already told you that it would look great on the portal if you had an article to go along with it.
