It has no effect but it is a stat in STHS, not just the portal. So messing with it would affect the ratings file. Age is supposed to automatically adjust in the sim but I think our ratings file resets it a lot. Ultimately as I said it makes 0 difference on performance.

IMO, no. Not even just for the money. Honestly we don’t need the extra money that bad IMO and it just caused extra headaches during off-seasons which are already busy enough.

So long as Malmo doesn’t best Helsinki in the playoffs they can keep winning as far as I’m concerned. I’m enjoying watching an expansion team succeed.

You aren’t. VHLM seasons exist entirely as their own thing. Your rookie season starts when you play your first VHL game. The only time there is any crossover is the fact that your 8 season career clock starts when you’re drafted so if you go back down for a season you only get 7.

How do you figure they both can’t be bought? Rookie season is first VHL season so if you have your VHLM contract and your first season VHL contract you have enough money for both.

And not even the dragons that killed the girl. Drogon did it and she didn’t know where he was at the time. I mean we don’t strictly know what she did or didn’t hear. The bells definitely triggered something because she was specifically aiming for military targets before they went off. I did read an interesting theory that because many Targaryans are known to have the green sight maybe Dany and Aerys were somehow linked in a similar fashion to what happened with Hodor. The last time a Targaryen heard those bells they were constantly repeating “Burn them all” which is exactly what she was doing. Probably not the way it’s going but the theory is interesting. Way way way off. Jaime pisses me off more than Dany really. She always had a bit of crazy in her, just usually reserved for her enemies. Jaime’s redemption has been a slow burn but staying with Brienne should have been the culmination of it. The only reason for him to go back to Cersei should have been to kill her, not comfort her.

I mean kinda but with crossover being applied even a European team can still take a spot from you.

All teams still play each other 8 times so it doesn't actually change anything. I think all it does is put conference teams against each other in lumps instead of having it be more randomly spread out.

This. I’m okay with her going mad queen but the signs were not as obvious for it as they needed to be. The foreshadowing was more so done as “with me or against me” which doesn’t really add up to “burn a million innocent people.” Like there was a time when she locked up the dragons, her children, because Drogon killed a single child. To go from that to Burn them all feels like a bit of a stretch. The city was surrendering, it was her’s. She has no reason to go after anyone but Cersei yet she chose to murder every living thing without plot armour (Arya anyone) instead of taking the throne which has supposedly been her intention. I think what they were going for was in fact the death or treason of everyone close to her driving her over the edge, that makes sense. I just don’t think they flushed that out nearly well enough. Her actions, while sometimes cruel, had noble intentions for 7 seasons. This was just flicking a switch to straight mad out of nowhere.

I’m sorta in the middle between @Victor and @Devise after watching that. It’s true that the more screentime someone gets in GoT is usually an indicator that they are soon to die. It’s also true that the writers intentionally get us invested for a bigger payoff in the end. However I do have to question if these are the payoffs that were intended in the original text. Dany and Jaime specifically throwing away their entire arc’s for no reason feels wrong to me. It feels like it’s played up for the shock value rather than what naturally makes sense. It worked, don’t get me wrong, I was shocked but I was also annoyed. I wasn’t annoyed that they went mad queen or that Jaime went back to Cersei. I was annoyed because of the pacing of it. I was annoyed because they had 6 seasons of those two characters making real progress and improving both themselves and the world just to throw it away in the course of 1.5-2 seasons. It’s fine wanting to show their downfalls but don’t just spring it up out of nowhere because that makes no sense and just feels rushed because HBO wants to move onto other things. Leaving Dany and Jaime aside for a moment, though they did piss me off the most, so much of that just felt anti-climactic. He prophecy about Cersei being killed by her brother? Pointless, a building fell on her head. Cleganebowl? Lacklustre because 1 is a crazy zombie that doesn’t feel pain. Badass murder child Arya? Running away instead because... reasons? So many choices felt like they were made not because they were good choices but because there’s only 1 episode after this and things needed to be wrapped up.

I think honestly Sharpe is deemed a bust purely because of the other options that were available. Krever honestly could have gotten Scotty and still picked me up later most likely. Stat wise, as you said, Sharpe wasn’t actually that bad.

Minor correction: I had nothing to do with the VHL’s creation. I joined on day 1 but was never part of the original planning. Neither was Sterling I don’t believe.
