  1. That is not true at all unless things have changed. I think when the EFL first opened it was the case but as of the partnership there is no limitation (that I know of) when doing welfare. Only limitation is the cap change between people with jobs and people without. At least that’s how it works for “partnered welfare”. It’s possible that just regular welfare is capped but I would be surprised. I’d be relatively okay with increasing PT’s and affiliate PT’s to 8 but we will notice that it will result in people just all doing the same thing and getting bored of regular PT’s. We brought in PC’s to help bridge that gap and offer an extra option (since everything me was saying they were bored of the same PT’s). Unfortunately we made the assumption that most welfare guys wouldn’t bother with hiring the cap which does not appear to be the case.
  2. It’s a guarantee. I approached them with that initially and they were very clear hat no deal would ever be struck that offered incentive to any of the three leagues over the other two. It’s not mutually beneficial at that point.
  3. The whole point of the partnership is to be fair to all three leagues. So sure, gay might mean some decreases PT’s but that’s the price threat needs to be paid. We remove it we lose those members. We can’t auddenly offer incentive to do our PT’s over he SBA or EFL because that isn’t a fair partnership; it encourages everyone to only do VHL PT’s. That’s great for a “VHL First” mentality but doesn’t work in a fair partnership.
  4. Originally that’s how we looked at it but it’s not that simple. As @Quik pointed out that’s very easy to abuse. For example, let’s say you and I are both in the S62 draft. You hit the 175/200 cap and decide to exceed it, making it so that you go to the VHL directly in S62. You’ll retire in 8 seasons (so S70). Meanwhile I hit the cap and decide to hold off and spend an extra season in the VHLM. That means I only retire in S71; giving me a full extra season of TPE and higher amounts for my prime years. We earned at the same rate, all i lost was a couple of week’s worth to get past the deadline. That is a pretty major hurtle to overcome. We want to be able to do his for the guys who legitimately don’t hit the cap but we want to do it in a way where t can’t be easily abused by guys to get an extra season of earning without digging into their career length.
  5. Should be only those two guys as far as I’m aware; at least for this draft.
  6. Welcome to the VHL, Kingros! We're happy to have you. You should have received a PM with some more detailed information, but to get started quickly you will want to head over to the create-a-player forum. Once you're there, create a player by starting a new topic and pasting in one of the following templates (completed): Skater Template Goalie Template Once that's done, VHLM General Managers will be in touch with you about joining their teams. In the meantime, please feel free to ask any questions you have here or in your create-a-player thread. We're happy to have you in the community and we hope you stick around!
  7. I’d have to talk to the other league heads. If our affiliate PT’s are worth the same as our regular PT’s it might not be an issue since it’s still the same amount of total points regardless of where you do the PT. However at that point you have he situation I mentioned above. Long time VHL guys seeing their welfare as significantly worse than a brand new guy who hasn’t and isn’t putting any actual work in here.
  8. This. Their PT’s are worth 6. Part of the deal was that no league gets any PT advantage over any others. If ours are worth, for example, 8 and they can claim the full 6 in the SBA that gives all their members more incentive to do PT’s here because they’d get 14 total TPE. If they do it there and claim it here they get 12. It makes for an unfair partnership. Introduces a different problem. At that point it becomes “I’ve earned max pension for being a long time VHL member and this guy not even doing a PT here gets x amount more than me”. We set it where we did because it rewards long time guys while not giving guys from other leagues a major advantage. I do get the argument: why bother doing a PT when welfare gets you 1 TPE less which can be easily earned elsewhere. Thing is, we went through A LOT of possible options and this one was the most fair all around.
  9. This is one of the main things we wanted the portal for so definitely a big step if we can get it working for us.
  10. For the record I wasn’t complaining about it not being 100% accurate last week, thought I made than clear when I said “but that’s okay.” It’s not a big deal if it’s a little behind, especially with busy weeks.
  11. For the first time in 11 years I’m considering skipping CoD... this feels weird.

@Beketov buy god of war and do Godcast (see what I did there?)

@Beaviss maybe on that one. I do find single player tricky because I have to focus on the narrative while also focusing on casting. CoD is good because it’s mindless more or less for me.

GoW is good where you can talk VHL during the killing, and just pause for the cut-scenes and talking gameplay. There's obviously a lot of mindless killing, and treasure hunting in there where you could easily talk about VHL, etc.

There's a lot of parts where they talk during gameplay too, but you could definitely just stop talking yourself, since you could make it like a Let's Play....and your VHL audience would probably like to know what happens too. Depends how you would do it, if you'd only do it for streaming purposes, there's like 30 hours of story. But if you also would play on your own and not record, then your viewers wouldn't get to know what happened.

  13. Not gonna win with only 11 shots. Also still need that roster update.

  15. Not at all. @BluObieZ‘s first player was Robbie Zimmers, that’s all.
  16. My first thought. Do we have a Robbie protege?
  17. Louth isn’t in the draft, he’s GM player for Quebec. Ironside is the same for Toronto but you don’t mention him being drafted so that’s fine. I actually didn’t mind his as much. The list needs to be updated but that’s fair if it’s a bit behind. I’m also fine with just talking about active guys, I don’t expect you to go through every single 30 TPE player, that’s ridiculous. The commentary was very Robbie but it did work.
  18. I definitely remember meaning to bring it up with you, maybe I didn’t remember to actually do so. If you want like 2 TPE a week while it runs go for it.
