I definitely don't expect to beat the shutout record either. Would need to beat the single season record as well to do it and that doesn't seem likely in my last season, especially with the makeup of the league right now; it's more or less just fun to aim for. I'm perfectly content with 2nd place all-time which I only need 4 more to obtain. Sadly my trophy cabinet is pretty empty so I doubt I'll be sundered for the HoF the way the Clegane's are (even with comparable stats) but that is what it is. Top 3 in any stat 55 seasons into the league is impressive enough in my books; even if it is unlikely to hold as you pointed out.

STHS must deem these the playoffs which means it also deems me completely useless for reasons I can't explain.

Future Prospect > Active goalie for 8 games. I know you're just messing around, but just pointing it out. Even if that player stays down an extra season, you still have potentially 7 seasons with them. In exchange for that you got a guy that will ride pine 64/72 games (and he pissed about it since it's Zimmers).

I hadn't read that yet. And to be fair I did say (sr at least meant to if I didn't) that I wasn't sure on your rationale, I was simply spit balling. If it was the best choice then it was the best choice, simple as that.

In order to please Supreme Overlord @Higgins I decided to do a review of the World Cup lineups this week instead of just randomly coming up with topics. Gave me something to talk about at least. I knew I was forgetting to tag someone. The CoDCast would love to have you (you as well @punkhippie even though I’m not directly replying to you) Over the next 2 weeks I’ll be working 7:30 to 3:30 so I’ll have some extra time in the afternoon. Plus my weekends are getting all shifted around so I’ll likely have some extra time in the middle of certain days.

To be fair it's hard to predict GAA but my 1.49 this year will drop it from 2.16 to 2.06. So if I can get the same drop next season I'll be top 3.

VHL Radio's CoDCast is looking to make a change to the format that has worked well for it's first 54 episodes. Thus far each episode of the weekly VHL Podcast has featured only Beketov himself with no other guests, hosts, or otherwise. That format could be changing soon though as Beketov is officially opening up the possibility to have the early morning show feature guests; especially if he can get it running in a more opportune time slot. We reached out to the VHL agent and podcaster for comments on the matter, "The CoDCast has worked well with me running it solo but there comes a time when talking to myself just starts to get a little stale so I thought hey, why not open it up to some guests? Most of the time I do unfortunately have to record very early in the morning (about 6-7am Atlantic time) so that limits most of my potential guests. However I may have an opportunity in the coming weeks to record later in the afternoon. It still wouldn't be in the evening but at least people would be awake. So yeah, I thought maybe I could see if people would like to come onto the show. I thought it might be fun." Unfortunately this would probably be a short lived feature of the CoDCast as the regular schedule will likely take back over soon. However Beketov has announced that he's accepting applications for guests if people are interested. Having a copy of Call of Duty is not required as the role would be purely a speaking one. *For Holik Just a quick list of people I know tend to offer questions who may potentially be interested, I'd be open to hosting basically anyone though: @punkhippie, @Devise, @Phil, @der meister

This honestly might be my last goalie because of the inconsistency. It happens with all players but goalies it easily hits harder. Overall means nothing, attributes mean nothing, TPE means nothing. The sim will decide which goalies it likes and which ones it hates (especially in the playoffs) and no amount of TPE earning will change that. Assuming similar stats to this season I'll be top 3 in GAA and shutouts all-time but still haven't managed to get to the cup finals even though I played on contending teams for the majority of my career. It makes basically no sense.

Honestly I can't even explain my playoff performances, it makes no sense. Like @Devise said, purely going off sim stats there should have been NO REASON that I played that bad. We can say that Power should have been in for game 5 and what not but it made no logical sense to do so. However, for some reason, Holik has historically not performed well in the playoffs even when his attributes say that he should. I don't know what kind of weird background things go on in STHS but somehow certain players (myself) just can't manage to perform in the playoffs.
