It takes a great deal of skill to be a dominant player in the VHL. It also takes a great deal of coincidence, timing and most importantly, luck. Landon Wolanin wants to play in the dirty areas, grinding out goals in the crease and digging for pucks in the corners. He has been getting looks at the net, more than most players in the league. He has been rewarded well so far, 2 points off point-per-game so far, clawing back from an incredibly unlucky start. But what has been concerning so far, is the lack of goals relative to the opportunities Wolanin gets on a regular basis. In his rookie season, Wolanin shot just over 9%. But so far this season he is at a measly 6.3%. In order to be a top goalscorer in this league, Wolanin will have to increase upon even his rookie rate to compete. Could we see a scoring surge and a potential 40 goal season? Or will Wolanin keep this pace and end with a useful but underwhelming ~25 goal campaign?

Theme Week is the only week I don't get to submit on Sunday and get my TPE Monday before sims, so either I take a normal 6 and push the Theme Week back a week (and fall 6 TPE behind everyone for the week) or I wait on a Theme Week announcement, pump it out and then hope my TPE gets approved before the sims. If you can submit for next week already anyways what does it matter to wait until Monday to announce it?

maybe its a version thing but this is what I found from the STHS manual

I wouldn't say it's discouraged the concept of the meta, but its eliminated the extremities of the meta. The overarching concepts on how to make a strong player will always be there, but we can no longer abuse it to the same ridiculous level we could before. What made the meta so bad was a) we could have 99s in not only one stat but multiple, and b) we could mess with the decision engine so badly that it created non-realistic outcomes. By forcing players to either invest a stupid amount of TPE into increasing scoring individually, or just allow for passing to go up with it (not increasing the frequency of shots, but still the likelihood of scoring) has essentially fixed both problems. And yes there are still a lot of pretty well useless stats. When it come to grit, and especially the fighting aspect of it, fighting on really seems to work when enough people have points in fighting to then fight. Putting point in fighting doesn't allow you to prey on player that don't have fighting, but it does increase your likelihood of engaging with another willing fighter. So since not many people invest in fighting, it appears to do a lot less than it likely was designed to do.

Nothing worse than when a new waiver comments your hashtag without quoting you and so you don't get the notification and never get them signed!

Loved the feature! Glad you got to talk about Landon Wolanin after this past week! Caught me the week before, and I would've had 3 points and a 2 something shooting percentage! You're right I am feeling a little sneaky, not much to worry about when your team's offense is carrying itself so I'm just continuing to grind on my own stuff and see if it works out!
