1. What was your favourite moment of the Season 71 regular season? Probably the game where I nabbed my first career hat trick. A special career moment for me. 2. What is your mindset going into these playoffs this time around? I just want to make it as far as we possibly can. 3. Who would you say has improved the most this season? Jimmy Spyro has really impressed me. 5. Who do you think will be nominated for the all star game? HHH and Freeman of course. 6. Where is the first place you would want to take the Cup to celebrate? To my hometown for sure. 8. What do you think our team’s identity was this season? Balanced offense and a strong back end.

Downey in Terrible Rut, Team Succeeding Otherwise Vancouver, British Columbia – After a strong first half of the year Vancouver Wolves defenseman Jeff Downey has fallen on hard times stats wise for the Wolves. While the Wolves continue to win and have a decent lead for top spot in the Victory Hockey League currently Downey has only managed to put up two points in his past 12 games. Stretch that to 21 games and it is 9 points, with four of those coming in one game. That means that other than that big game he has 5 points in 20 games, a far cry from his early pace. ‘To say it has been frustrating is an understatement. While we have continued to win and that is of course the number one goal for me as a player, I feel like I could be doing so much more for this team to make them better. All I’ve done in training is try and make myself a better player and along the way I have broken something. Eventually I hope it will turn around but if me playing like this still gets us a championship run I am willing to make that sacrifice.’

2. It’s theme week and this season’s theme is Recruitment! Thinking back to when you first joined the league, what was it that got you into this Sim League? I'm an OG. Drafted season one and I was brought in by my cousin who was one of the founding members. 3. Who would you consider to be your player’s rival in the league? With the way he is currently playing? Himself. 4. What on-ice skill is your player most known for? Being mediocre, but also his defensive play. 5. Freeman got promoted to AGM! How do you feel about him being selected? There could not have been a better choice. 6. What are your expectations for the remainder of the season and do you think we can hold on to a playoff spot? Championship or bust. 7. Which do you prefer to make for your Point Task? Graphics, Media Spots, or Podcasts? Normally I am a media spot guy, but I'd love to learn to make graphics.

1. Which other team(s) in the league would you consider the Wolves rival(s)? Definitely the Seattle Bears. 4. With the Trade Dead-Line upon us, do you think the Wolves will make any more moves this season? I personally think we have made our moves for the year at this point, a lot has changed. 5. Who do you think our team’s MVP (on the ice) is this season? HHH is on a whole new level these days. 6. Do you prefer playing in our Home arena (in Vancouver) or playing Away games as the visiting team? Home games for sure.More comfortable. 7. Would you want to join me and DoktorFunk on the DaSLN podcast as a guest? It is always possible, I'm not sure I have anything interesting to say though. 8. Who would you like to see become a GM or an AGM (for any team) in the future? RJF seems like a good choice.

1. We have had some big trades recently, how do you feel about them? I think they have worked out so far. Our team has been on a tear recently so something seems to have worked. 2. We have signed/re-signed the majority of the team long term, are you happy with our core? I am really happy with the core we have built here in Vancouver. 4. Which prospect(s) are you expecting/ hoping to see in the lineup next season? Joe Protato. 5. Who would you consider to be the Wolves locker room Leader(s)? Probably Spyro and Beav. 6. [For Players] What is your twig of choice (and the flex rating you prefer to use)? I like to use a nice Sherwood. 8. What is your personal goal (for your player) by the time we reach the playoffs? I just want to see the team win. I want us to get as high a seed as possible.
