Jeff Downey Ups Offseason Training Regimen Vancouver, British Columbia – After a disappointing end to their season the Vancouver Wolves are coming into the new season with a chip on their shoulder. The team is putting in extra efforts over the offseason to try and get themselves ready for another year of high level competing. For defenseman Jeff Downey there are going to be big changes for him training wise over the offseason. After taking a short trip back to his hometown of Barrie, Ontario, he quickly returned to the training center in Vancouver. When asked about his offseason plans Downey had the following to say. ‘I need to be better this coming year. With the departure of my defense partner Tzuyu I am going to need to really step up and put up some big numbers this year if this team is going to compete. I am going to spend as much time as possible in the gym this offseason and I plan on hitting a completely new level in my game next year.’

1. How did you spend your offseason? Headed back to my hometown in Ontario to catch up with friends and family. 3. In honour of the new age for the VHL (S70's) what would you like to see for our Alternate jerseys? (logo, colour sheme, patterns, etc etc) Maybe some black jerseys, I've always liked those. 4. If the league introduced dual logo's for every team (main logo and alternate/ shoulder patch logo) do you think it cool or too much? Nope, I think that would be a good idea. 6. A lot of players around the take "hometown discounts". Do you think there a solution to make contract earnings more meaningful? Making player store items more expensive may be a start but I don't know how that would affect balance. 7. If you had to pick an MVP for our team this season, who would you nominate? Probably Greg Eagles. 8. What are your player's plans for next season? (S71) Keep on pumping up those offensive numbers while trying to become better defensively.
