Calgary, AB -- Michael Clardy is the best player in the VHL. This is a certifiable fact. Why is this a certifiable fact? It's because, in the game of hockey, the concept is to not only score goals, but to do it in an efficient manner. Perhaps unknown to everybody, Clardy has been the single best player in the VHL at this; his 21.74 shot percentage leads all qualified players.
Is Clardy in the top ten of defensemen points? Nope. Is he in the top five of rookie points? Nope. Does he only have five goals and five assists on the season? Absolutely. But Clardy is efficient, and I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that if he got more ice time, he would absolutely maintain his 21.74 percent rate and be leading the VHL with roughly 50 goals.
You may disagree with this assessment; I also might disagree with this assessment, even though Clardy voted for himself in pretty much every category in the VHL vote so I suppose he supports himself. But I'm utterly tired from spending a weekend at a bachelor party followed by a two day work conference, at which point I will now be flying overnight to a wedding. So this is where I say thank you to the commissioners for a free week, because this is all of the work I will be doing on this entire site for the entire week in case I collapse. This is now way over 150 words. Free Weezy.
