8/16 - 8/22 - Theme Week / AGM Birthday Edition! Answer 6 questions to claim 2 TPE 1. Besides the Founder's Cup / Continental Cup, what award would you want to win during your players career? 2. We recently got Nils Godlander ( @Moon_50 ) on waivers and Godlander already put up 4 points in 8 games. What are your reactions to that? 3. Everyone on the team has a - +/- rating. What do you think we should do to help improve that? 4. Have you ever won an award in your life? Could be from sports or anything else. 5. In the NHL, who is your favorite team from the East and West? 6. What beverage do you have all the time? To answer #6 for you guys, I gave up soda years ago and switched to only drinking water. I used to drink those 2 liter bottles of soda a day. It was gross. So glad I switched though!

1. Going off of what @Alex_J32said in his posts #3, I agree that the VHLM fantasy should open up to everyone. This way the VHLM isn't overlooked and it gives VHL players a reason to pay attention to it. Also with recreates happening soon it will give those players a chance to see who they would like to play for. Maybe it would even lead them to see what roster they think would work best for their new player and fill a need on that team. 2. An all star game or preseason. Something to reward players who put the work in. Maybe for the preseason games the GMs would have to "Schedule" it with other GMs. That way you have more chatter between GMs and they get to test lines and strategies before the season begins. What once worked in the previous season might not work in the current season and by the time the sims are done on day 1 you might already be below .500. 3. An option to hide the top earners for the week on the portal page. It's going to be a VHLM player every week. What's the point? In it's place have a player highlight. Just pick a random active player and show off their stats.

Demotion - Noun - Reduction in rank or status. A word that Justin Lose knows too well. Justin Lose and Riga Reign were excelling and finally on top of the EU conference for the first time in a long time. When scoring all of a sudden started going into a flat line, the GM decided to change up the lines. Guess who got the demotion? That's right, Justin Lose has been demoted to the 2nd line again. Lose has been on the 2nd line his entire career in the VHLM and VHL. His stats are a great look at what being on the 2nd line has been like for his career: Season 74 - Waiver - 8 Goals - 11 Assists - 19 Points - VHLM - Philadelphia Reapers Season 75 - Drafted - 33 Goals - 43 Assists - 76 Points - VHLM - Mexico City Kings - 1st line demoted to 2nd line Season 76 - VHL - 23 Goals - 41 Assists - 64 Points - VHL - Riga Reign - 2nd line Season 77 - 23 Goals - 35 Assists - 58 Points - 2nd line Season 78 - 37 Goals - 45 Assists - 82 Points - 2nd line promoted to 1st line Season 79 - 19 Goals - 16 Assists - 35 Points - 1st line demoted to 2nd line As you can see from these stats, Lose hasn't been able to fully show off his skills as a player when held back on the 2nd line. It just goes to show that his growth was halted by being on the 2nd line. Frustration - Noun - The feeling of being upset or annoyed, especially because of the inability to change or achieve something. Another word that Lose uses in his time with Riga the past few seasons. "Being demoted is just irritating honestly. I'm always the scapegoat whenever we aren't scoring. When we are scoring I'm getting high praise from everyone. I just don't know what I'm supposed to do anymore to impress the GM. I get demoted to the 2nd line and I get taken off of the powerplay lines and moved to the penalty kill. I'm keeping all of these experiences in my head when my contract is expired next season. Maybe it's time to move on Riga since they stopped believing in me." With 31 games left Lose is not on pace to beat his career highs that were set last season. Funny enough that was the season where he was a majority on the 1st line for once. If things stay the way they are, Riga would be heading to the playoffs for the first time since Season 76. "If we make it to the playoffs, this is all going to be put behind us. You want to be 100% focused on the game while in the playoffs. I won't let any distractions get to me. I'll worry about the situation after we win. If we win the cup it will be worth it. Anything less is just not good enough anymore." Strong words from Lose today. Hopefully, this will inspire Lose to go out and prove that he isn't a career 2nd liner anymore. He wants to be a 1st liner. With Season 80 being his last season on his current contract, is this going to be the end for Lose and Riga?

Welcome to the Minnesota Storm Weekly Recap! We will be going over what is happening to the Storm and how they are doing in the VHLM each week. Week 3 and we have some big news to go over. Also a new player of the week (You will see why)! Let us get started. News We have a trade to announce! Minnesota Acquires: S80 MEX 3rd S80 LVA 4th S81 LVA 1st S81 LVA 5th Las Vegas Acquires: F Caleb Gaudette F I Mine Crypto S80 LVA 6th Reaction: It was tough to give up Gaudette and Crypto. The offer was just too good to give up on. We here in Minnesota would like to give our thanks to Gaudette and Crypto and wish them the best in Vegas. Waiver Additions We would like to welcome Ernie King Jr to the squad! Overall Record We have completed 31 games so far this season. With a record of 13-15-3 for 29 points, we are second to last in our stacked conference. With the trade, we aren't going to be huge offensive threats anymore. At the moment we can steal some points from the playoff teams and hope to grab a spot in the playoffs. Player of the week Logain Ablar - 20 Goals - 22 Assists - 42 Points With the departure of Caleb Gaudette, a new king has been crowned this week.
