Ricer vs Ricer It’s season 89 and the general manager of the Calgary Wranglers Ricer and his team are set to win their tenth straight VHL championship..... something this astronomical most people could only dream of; looks like a sure thing heading into the playoffs. If he was not already the greatest general manager in VHL history; winning ten championships in a row would certainly give Ricer the crown comfortably. With a week to go in the regular season Vancouver Wolves general manager stepped down from her role for “personal reasons” with the Wolves sitting in second place only behind the power house Wranglers and the only real threat to dethrone Ricer and his squad this move came as a shock to many. The new hire of the Vancouver Wolves was not known to anyone in the hockey world; the new general manager going by the name “deadly” denied a introductory press conference and any media interview requests, people really started to wonder how this mystery man got this job in the first place. *Ricer’s phone began to ring, showing “Vancouver Wolves GM”. It was Deadly requesting a face to face with Ricer, he thought this was weird considering the last few days.... although Ricer obliged. Ricer went to the airport bar that Deadly requested, at this point deadly is thirty five minutes late and Ricer asks for the bill... Finally his guest arrives, *Ricer stumbles out of his chair and with a faint breath spits out “what... how.... who are you?” “I’m you” deadly says. A few moments later Ricer agreed to sit and hear what this man had to say. “This isn’t real... I must be dreaming” said Ricer, “this has to happen the way I said, this is the only way” said Deadly desperately. After hours of conversation between the two and many a drink Deadly has done his absolute best to convince Ricer why he was here and why it was so important; unfortunately Ricer still could not believe it, as he starts to walk out Deadly clears his throat and repeats “if you don’t lose the finals the entire universe as we know will cease to exist....” Deadly was merely a cod name one that only Ricer would truly know within this world; Deadly was Ricer from another universe who must stop Ricer from winning his 10th title in a row and the only person that can stop him is ...... himself. *one month later* Heading into the VHL finals it is the reigning champs Calgary Wranglers versus the Vancouver Wolves! Throughout these entire playoffs Ricer and Deadly have not spoken once despite the numerous calls from Deadly. To start game one Ricer starts his top line as they have dominated throughout these playoffs, Deadly decides to counter with his “tough guys” one who has only played 10 games all year and non in the playoffs. As the puck is dropped, the Wolves pounce on the Wranglers top players and all hell breaks loose on the ice. Although no one was seriously hurt, all 10 players to start the game were ejected removing Calgary’s entire top line in the process. The Wolves would go on to win game 1 a final score of 4-1 and take a 1-0 series lead, almost midnight inside the Wranglers arena and Ricer confronts Deadly in the parking lot as he is about to leave. Before Deadly could even say a word Ricer HITS him. “Who the hell do you think you are!!! I had a life here” Ricer would continually proceed to attack Deadly, after a few moments Deadly started to fight back and these two were in a all out brawl. Both bloodied to a point of almost no return, each on their last breath of effort... “I can do this all day” said Ricer. “This is pointless, neither of us is coming out of this alive anyways if you win this series” deadly stressed, “I didn’t come here to fight with you, I came here to save you....save us” Deadly would proceed to get in his car and leave the building leaving Ricer confused and angry. Both of them looking worse for wear heading into game 2, although Sportsnet’s coverage of Ricer’s damage was a story point of its own as Deadly remains hidden from the media to hide his identity. Countering his familiar foes tactics, Ricer and the Wranglers would take game 2 in convincing fashion 8-2. These teams and general managers would trade victories back and forth leading to a grid lock with the series tied all up three wins to three. Heading into Game 7 the stakes are higher then ever! In his office ahead of tonight’s game Ricer was prepping and making sure he had all of tonight’s celebrations in order and then he heard a knock, it was Deadly.... Not having seen each other since their fight of the night following game 1 of the series, Ricer was not to pleased to see himself; “Are you crazy, what are you doing here” he said waiting for a response disgruntled, Deadly would not hesitate to begin his case one last time... “are you?? Seriously man, this is it game 7!! Are you really going to go through with this” “I am, I don’t believe you I don’t believe this! Nothings going to happen!!!! I am the greatest general manager in this leagues history and I am going to prove it again tonight” said Ricer. Panicking and sweating Deadly was running out of time; “why do you find it so hard to believe?” - Deadly, “why do you find it so easy?” -Ricer “ITS NEVER BEEN EASY” - yelled Deadly. “You’ll see me after the game when I’m out on that ice celebrating” Ricer said whilst pushing past Deadly and towards the door; “you don’t have to do this...” Deadly says with a desperate look in his eyes, Ricer would stop and look back into those eyes before continuing out the door. Game seven was very competitive throughout.... 1-1 in overtime! The Wrangler crowd roaring and everyone’s nerves to the max; Wranglers captain Bo Scorvat comes down the right wing all alone and rips one over the goalies blocker...... “He shoots he scores!!!!! ITS OVER ITS OVER ITS OVER! SCORVAT HAS DONE IT! CALGARY HAS JUST WON THEIR 10th CHAMPIONSHIP IN A ROW!” The announcer screeched. Celebrations began, confetti littered the ice all players, coaches, trainers and management came together to lift the title once again! Finally it was Ricer’s turn, to lift the title for a record breaking 10th time; if there was ever any doubt Ricer just became the greatest to ever do it! As he lifts and cheers he glances over towards the bench and sees Deadly in the tunnel looking on with a dismayed look on his face. Suddenly everything started to shake, screams throughout the building began as everything started to fall and break in seconds! Still holding the cup above his head in shock Ricer still locked eye to eye with Deadly, the ice cracks into a million little pieces.... when part of the ceiling falls and kills numerous fans a white lights starts to appear and becomes larger and larger by the second. As the light becomes bigger and starts to swallow everything in sight Ricer locked on to Deadly says “ I was wrong” 1,228 words!

This is absolutely sick! Great idea and concept for your theme week! The logo is obviously as easy transition for this player sig but still done very well! I enjoy the detailed boarder although I think a Boulder font might look nicer! Solid work overall 9.5/10

This is a well thought out graphic! It’s not the flashiest one out there but has great detail! The Helsinki logo on the shoulder while the legends crest serves as the primary is a nice touch! Career statics with just this franchise is a cool idea! 8.5/10

Review: come plate unbiased opinion this is sick! The rain effect adds to the pop the colour of this graphic has! Logo swaps are clean!! 10/10

Review: great work for your first one!! I know how difficult these things are! I like the dark colour you used for your player! The Smokey surrounding is also a nice touch! I think they white name and team bar would love better top left in the green section as opposed to across your player. Solid work though! 7/10

review: you’re on the right track! Obviously the name bar and logo swaps should be cleaner and more natural which is something you’ll get better at the more you practice! Love the idea tho! Keep up the good work! 5/10

Perry revenge game

In a season of change for the Calgary Wranglers much of this season is uncertain, but that does not halt the motivation of the General Manager and his young star studded team. Eight games into this season the Wranglers sit 3-5-0 ( 6 points ) with a minus twelve in goal differential and second last in the division. “We have a ton of new faces this year and it might take some time getting used to each other and finding that right chemistry, but this is a great group in that locker room; I’m positive we will figure it out” said captain Luke Thornton. At this point in the season there is a four way tie for team lead in points ( 8 ) which includes - Forward Jonas Stormsson , and three DEFENCMEN!! Cowboy Prout , Tom Eagles , and Rolf Fizzlebeef jr. Behind them with 7 points in 8 games this season is first year Wrangler Nathan Perry; “it has definitely been an adjustment coming to Calgary from across the world in London but Ricer really went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and welcomed! I really like what we are building here” Calgary’s special teams is running at a respectable 14.71 percent for the powerplay and 79.49% for the penalty kill, I believe the coaching staff knows they can improve on both these fronts but it is not necessarily their down fall to this point in the season. In net goaltender Vsevolod Askarov is sporting a .897 save percentage and 4.50 goals against average; “I need to be better... bottom line, I know I’m capable of more and I think I can be the best in the league” said Askarov after his teams 6-3 loss to the Los Angeles Stars. In reality Askarov is far from the problem, he is getting peppered with shots game in and game out; he can only do so much while he waits for the rest of the team to catch up to the competition. General Manager @Ricer13 was recently interviewed about the current state of his team. “ The first two weeks so far with the team have gone better than expected. Everyone on the roster has bought into the fact that this will be a developmental season for us. Our 3-5 record is something we are proud of not disappointed with”. @Ricer13would go more in depth on what he realistically expects this season and what he and his staff expect in the near future; “My expectations for this season are for everyone to put the work in to improve each and every week. It’s going to be a group effort to get this team to where we want to be. If each player can buy into that then next season we could be making our way into the playoffs. As for this season from a standings perspective we have no expectations set for ourselves. We want to compete every night, make life miserable for our opponents, and if we manage to sneak into the playoffs then that’s an added bonus. It’s going to take a group effort to achieve a goal like that this season!” The Wranglers are primed to get better and better as this season goes along and it won’t be a long wait until they’re into the playoffs and making some noise, maybe even by seasons end. 594 words!

Review: this is solid work! I like that you got home and away jerseys in there that both work very well with your logo swap. Light to dark background goes well with your players, can’t complain about the name bar either! 10/10
