  1. Well, it's official: Henry Tucker Jr.'s only full season in the VHLM has concluded, and with stellar results. The Mexico City Kings goaltender and 1st overall pick of the VHLM Draft started 48 of the 72 games and went 26-13-8 with a .906 save percentage, 2.11 GAA and 7 shutouts, and after playing his first 2 playoff games, Tucker Jr. is 1-1 with an awesome .938 SV% and 2.01 GAA and the series is tied 1-1. Honestly, I am gonna miss being a Kings player. The LR has been super awesome and time and time again I'm amazed by VHLM GMs, since even though they're pretty inexperienced and whatnot, they're almost always super fun, energetic and cool people, and Cole was no exception. The LR is almost always bustling with activity, the people are nice, and we're really good at counting. As I head into the VHLE and VHL Draft this year, I do kinda wonder how much longer karma will work in me and Tater Tottingham's favor. With our players (including first gens) having been teammates for parts of 6 seasons now, and having been drafted by the same team twice, you gotta wonder if this can last, but then again, I went into the M draft thinking, "Oh well, this is the end of the road, no way two solid earning RCs both get drafted by the same team" and look what happened. For now, though, the focus is on bringing Mexico City their 2nd ever Founders Cup!!!
  2. You finished dead last overall but besides that you did great
  3. 1. If we win more than them we'll probably be able to stay in 2nd place. 2. Yeah, very. Tucker Jr. continues to earn + play well and solidify himself as a top prospect. 3. I like an underdog, so Geneva will sneak in and then win it all. 4. Hockey isn't a thing down South, but I remember when my summer daycare took a trip to the nearest hockey rink, 1 hour away, and we all had to skate using these plastic walker things. It was bad. 5. I say we win a series and lose a series, just because this is such a weird sim engine. 6. I don't like them, so not since I was 4 lol

    Games: 282-289

Game 288 Recap It was a dark and stormy night when the cellar-dwelling Miami Marauders faced off against the surging Mexico City Kings, but since the hockey rink was inside, nobody really cared that it was a dark and stormy night, and to put it plainly, Miami got destroyed in the 1st period. Futch scored 20 seconds in, Stronheim followed 7 minutes later, and 9 and a half minutes in on a power play, goalie Henry Tucker Jr., who would face only 3 shots that period, got the puck to House, who passed it to Torbjorn, who promptly scored, giving Tucker Jr. his 3rd assist of the year. Stroheim would strike again near the end of the 1st, and Kauppi + Futch would strike in the 2nd, but it was over pretty quickly. Ultimately, the Kings scored 6 goals while Tucker Jr. faced 6 shots en route to a 6-0 stomping. Torbjorn (1 G, 3 A, 4 P, 2 H), Stronheim (2 G, 1 A, 3 P, 1 H, 1 SB, 11/14 FO) and Futch (2 G, 4 H, 16/26 FO) would get the stars as Mexico City outshot Miami 54-6 and won of 42 of 63 faceoffs.
  5. Well, with the VHLM regular season getting dangerously close to finishing, it's definitely become clear that Henry Tucker Jr. is one of the best young goalies out there. Despite splitting time with Jeremy Swayman (who's also very good, it should be noted), Tucker Jr. is beginning to pull away from his fellow S85 goalies in TPA, leading the next closest by 19, 242-223, and he's also 4th in TPE amongst the S85 class, which isn't that bad. Additionally, he's also proving himself to be pretty good at building a goalie as well, and in 46 games so far, he's 26-11-8 with a .906 SV%, 2.09 GAA, and 7 shutouts. He ranks in the top 5 in all those categories except for SV% (cuz some dude with 8 games is beating him for 5th) and losses, and he continues to increase his lead in OTL, as he now leads by 3 over Cory Evans, additionally, his 3 assists are tied for 3rd in the M. Going into the upcoming 2 drafts, it'll likely be a lot to handle, as I expect multiple teams from both leagues will be interested in my dude. I guess I'm gonna be one of those top picks? I don't know, it kinda depends on the goalie situations in those leagues, but I do lowkey think that I'm one of the best young goalies out there right now outside of Murdock, but Acyd just kinda does a lot and stuff. 243 words @Shindigs look at the stats
  6. Yessir @Gaikoku-hito!!! Best of luck with AGMing and I 100% believe in you
  7. The time passes, but Henry Tucker Jr. continues to have a much better time in the VHLM than his father Whereas the elder Tucker, drafted 73rd in the VHLMM Draft, would score just 43 points in his first full year in the M after a 1-point rookie campaign, the younger one went 7-1-0 with a 1.61 GAA in his first year, got selected first, and is continuing his amazing goalie antics. He was mentioned as one of the goalies in the "Prospects All-Star Game," and is figuring to go off the board near the top yet again, and his stats are only helping his case. As he continues to take about 2/3-3/4 of the starts, with Jeremy Swayman getting the rest, Tucker Jr. is a stellar 22-8-7 in 38 games with a .909 save percentage, a 2.06 GAA, and 6 shutouts so far. Overtime losses seem to be his speciality, as he leads the minors in them despite playing a noticeably less amount of games than his counterparts. And now, because of our good friend @Shindigs, let's roll out the stats and see where Tucker Jr. is on the VHLM league leaders this season! Wins: 22 (5th) -Well, the 4 dudes above him have all played at least 13 more games than him, and he only trails Cory Evans in this category by more than 14, so I don't think I'm doing too bad, honestly. Losses: 8 (8th) - 8 losses is 8th lol, but seriously, this is one of the benefits of not playing all the damn time: You're pretty likely to slip down the list in losses! Overtime Losses: 7 (1st) - How do I do this? I play far fewer games than my counterparts, but I still lead them handily in this particular category, but why? Nobody knows, but at least my resume will be able to likely include "Season 84 VHLM Overtime Losses Leader" Save Percentage: .909 (5th) - I think I've been moving up, but this list mostly rewards the people who get shot at billions of times per game (looking at you, Alexander Minion). Props to Cory Evans and Geoff Bezos for actually being good, though. GAA: 2.06 (3rd) - Trailing only the amazing Cory Evans and my backup Swayman, I'd say that I'm not doing too shabby, My defense helps me, but I also do hafta do some work to look as good as this. Shutouts: 6 (1st) - I'm trailing Evans by 2, and I'm not really complaining, since he is a very, very worthy opponent and has also played 14 more games than me, so this is a pretty good spot to be in. It shows that when people only shoot 10 shots on me, I can almost always stop all 10! Penalty Minutes: 2 (T-3rd) - Must. Cause. Trouble!!! Why is Tucker Jr. succeeding at everything except this? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY All right, that's all you'll get today, see ya next week!

    Games: 219-228

Game 225 (Aka 15 squared) It was yet another game in the Season 84 VHLM season, as the surging Mexico City Kings faced off against the San Diego Marlins. The Kings trotted out their starting goalie, Henry Tucker Jr., who was seeking his 20th win of the season in just 32 starts, while the Marlins' goalie, Alexander Minion, was trying to gain some traction and avoid losing 8 of his first 10 games. Tragically for Minion, his losing continued. Halvar Torbjorn started off the action 8 minutes into the game with a goal assisted by Stroheim and Kauppi, and despite the Kings chucking shot after shot, only that one found the net in the opening period. The 2nd period was twice as nice, as Tottingham and Gonzalez scored within the first 8 minutes, and our residential fried potato secured a multi-point game by assisting Gonzalez's netfinding shot. With the score 3-0 heading into the final period, Mexico City did not ease up at all, with Tottingham scoring again just 14 seconds in and Kauppi finding the net after 3:14. The Kings finally took their foot off the gas and coasted to a 5-0 victory, but not before 5 of their players had a 2+ point game: Alexander Stroheim, Nikolas Kauppi, Tater Tottingham, Jason, and Doug Britton.

    Games: 190-199

Game 199 (Aka the amount of TPE you hafta stop at to stay in the ECFA or SBDL) It was just another night in the VHLM hockey season when the Ottawa Lynx faced off against the surging Mexico City Kings. Kings goalie Henry Tucker Jr. had just secured his 15th win of the season and was looking to add on to that while the Lynx were looking to help Cambrell bromslav to his 4th win of the season in 11 games. In the end, it turned out as expected: Mexico City completely outperformed Ottawa, blasting 54 shots onto the net (bromslav did his best, saving 50, but it is admittedly a challenge when people shoot that much at your face) while the Lynx got off just 6, all of which Tucker Jr. easily blocked for yet another shutout. Mexico City's scoring was highlighted by 2 goals from Halvar Torbjorn and 2 assists from Alexander Stromheim and Scottie House (both in the first period, and Stromheim + House were the two assisters for both of Torbjorn's goals), while captain nugget, who was Mexico City's only rule offender, getting sent to the box for high sticking just 23 seconds into the game, and William Futch scored the other 2 goals. Miguel Martinez Gonzalez, Doug Britton, and Tater Tottingham each chipped in an assist, and Mexico City took the game easily, 4-0.

  16. Well, I like uncapped TPE, so today Imma talk about the Season 74 Founder's Cup! Sure, it's a VHLM Final from 10+ seasons ago, however, it was the first championship I'd ever won in a sim league, and it'd be a long while before I'd win another one, so let's go! Miami was definitely not expected to go anywhere in the playoffs. They had just 2 players close to 70 points, and worse, they were both defenders. Additionally, they'd been outscored by nearly a goal a game that season, on their way to making the playoffs at 32-38-2, just 3 points ahead of the Reapers. Plus, their first opponent, Halifax had just finished up an amazing 64-7-1 season, but Miami shockingly took the first game. Halifax roared back to take the next 2, but Miami managed another win before Halifax took a 3-2 lead. In Game 6, it looked like the Marauders were on their way out after falling behind 2-1 in the 1st, but with time in the 2nd period ticking down, Sheldon Juniper snuck in a goal to tie it at 2, and after nobody scored in the 3rd, the teams went to overtime, and 9:55 into the OT period, Cabe McJake knocked the puck in to force a Game 7, which was even more fun. Miami took a 3-2 lead in the first period, and after Halifax tied it in the 2nd, Miami stormed back for 2 more goals before Halifax answered with one of their owned, sending Miami into the break up 5-4, on the verge of a monumental upset. Could a 66 point team not only take a 129-point squad to a best of 7 series, but also win? Halifax didn't like that idea, so they scored 7 minutes in to tie it up, but on their 10th power play attempt, Miami scored their 4th power play goal with 2:56 remaining to seal the deal. A random 4th line right winger named Henry Tucker won a faceoff in 9 minutes of ice time. One day he'd be a key piece in 3 VHL Championships, but for now he was an overwhelmed 60-ish TPE rookie. Next up was Western Conference winner Las Vegas, who had 109 points on the season. Miami took the first 3, but the Aces came right back with 3 of their own to set up another Game 7. With the score 3-2 Miami heading into the 3rd period, Las Vegas stressed out Marauders faithful some more by tying it up 9 minutes in. Then, however, the clutch genes came out again, and with 1:37 to go, Juniper scored the go-ahead goal, and Theodore Hoffman got an empty net goal a minute later to finish it off. That Henry Tucker dude got a hit in 7:17 on the ice, and that was it. Last up was the finals, and even though Miami had just beaten the 2 best teams in the league, they were still the worst playoff team. Mississauga was the 3rd best team in the league, with 107 points, so the outgunned Marauders truly had to run the gauntlet to win the Founder's Cup. In Game 1, Miami scored 5 of the first 6 goals to seal the deal, all in just over 1.5 periods. In Game 2, the Marauders had very balanced scoring, with 1 goal per period, and thanks to Rasputin's efforts in the net, the underdogs won 3-1 to take a 2-0 series lead. Game 3 was much more stressful, as a late-ish 3rd period goal by the Hounds forced overtime, but Miami had seen this before, and scored just 5 minutes in to give themselves an opportunity to clinch their first series at home, and thanks to a hat trick by Addison McLaren, they did! This random guy I keep talking about, Henry Tucker, he took a shot and spent a couple minutes in a penalty box. Why the hell do I keep bringing him up? This was my first season in the league, and I happened to land on a team that created magic that year. Looking back, I don't think I've ever seen such a magical season in any sim league I've been, and I'll likely never see something so amazing again. And, ya know, it reminds me of a Taylor Swift song called "Long Live." I'll end the article with a snippet of the lyrics, chew on them. When they gave us our trophies And we held them up for our town And the cynics were outraged Screaming this is absurd 'Cause for a moment, a band of thieves in ripped up jeans Got to rule the world Long live the walls we crashed through How the kingdom lights shined just for me and you I was screaming long live all the magic we made And bring on all the pretenders, I'm not afraid Long live all the mountains we moved I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you I was screaming long live that look on your face And bring on all the pretenders One day, we will be remembered 738 words minus the lyrics Only gonna ping @Ricer13 cuz he was my VHLM GM way back when
  17. hm For clarification, If I win anything, please just give me like some TPE or something, my parents will be confused if something comes in the mail from a fake hockey league
