  2. The Tylar agency has had some great success in the VHL and with their current client likely heading for retirement it is time to start finding a new prospect to bring into the VHL. The agency has had a lot of luck with forwards throughout the years and has not quite found the same quality of defenseman. So what kind of player is the agency looking to bring to the VHL once Faux retires? Current head of the agency Brody Hodgson discusses this; "The easiest thing to do would be to have another forward because we have been really successful with forwards. Faux has been a great player in the VHL, so we could easily just bring over a clone of him and call it a day. But we could also try something new and give ourselves a challenge with a defenseman. The VHL is probably good for goaltenders so they will not be considered. Defensemen are really valuable in the VHL. They can be very hard to come by so bring one into our agency could be an amazing move for us. Since Faux could retire this preseason it is time we start debating who we are going to target to add to our agency." 206 words

  8. Faux Back to Winning Last week Marcel Faux got traded to the Toronto Legion from the Helsinki Titans. The Titans were near the bottom of the league and the Legion are at the top. Marcel Faux is used to winning with Helsinki so this change is exactly what the doctor ordered. Faux was won everyone he has been, from Bern to Saskatoon then to Helsinki. Throughout his time Helsinki the Titans were respectable then rose up to contender status. The Titans won back to back cups and lost in the finals to the team Faux is now a part of. When we last looked at Marcel he was struggling in Helsinki with under a point per game. His last game with Helsinki was his best. He had 4 points in a big win for Helsinki. Prior to that he also had a hat trick versus his brother’s Riga Reign. He left Helsinki with 18 goals and 11 assists for 29 points in 30 games. “It was kind of weird going to the team that beat us for the cup last season. But I will get over eventually get over it at some point while in there. It is just a weird feeling. We were so good in Helsinki for a while there it is just kind of hard to forget it. I have been there my whole career until now so it is kind of sad to leave now when I am getting ready to call it quits in a few years.” Since joining the Legion the team is 4-1 with Faux in the line-up. They had one hiccup versus Riga where RIG G played his heart out and won. Other than that Marcel has been pretty effective thus far with the Legion. He has 2 goals and 3 assists for 5 points in 5 games. This year Faux will probably not produce like he did last season scoring over a hundred points but for Faux winning is more important. “In a perfect world I would be producing a lot of points and winning. But really winning is the most important thing for me. I have been on a lot of winning teams and have not produced. Winning to me feels better than just scoring a boat load of points. After all hockey is a team sport. If the team is winning and eventually holding the cup at the end, than nothing else matters really.” So far everything looks to be heading in the right direction for Faux. He is on a winning team and starting to chip in offensively with some points. As Faux begins to get more comfortable maybe he will start showing signs of his amazing breakout season last year. If not the Legion are still going to get a great player for their cup run and for a season or two after. The Legion still could compete next season too if everything goes right. So Marcel might be able to add a few more trophies to his already crowded case if everything goes well. Next week we will see how Marcel has been progressing with the Legion.

  16. Marcel Faux has been traded from the 10-17-2 Helsinki Titans to the 27-2 Toronto Legion. The trade will be processed in a couple days due to the cap restrictions. The Titans currently sit third in the weak European Conference while the Legion sit on top of the North American Conference and the entire VHL. The Legion have scored almost double the amount of goals and allowed almost half the amount of goals that the Titans have this season. Marcel Faux is currently leading the Helsinki Titans with 26 points in 29 games. He has a team leading 16 goals on the lonely Titans squad. When he moves to Toronto he will be sitting tied for seventh in team scoring with defenseman World B. Free. His 16 goals would be good for fifth in goal scoring for the Legion. There is a familiar face on the Legion for Faux though. Former teammate Max Molholt who was a part of the Saskatoon Wild team Marcel lead to the Founder’s Cup in S44. Faux will play his last game in Helsinki on day 146 against the Cologne Express before he heads to Toronto where he will make his debut likely on day 151 against the Stockholm Vikings or day 157 against his brother and the Riga Reign. 214 Words

  20. A Look at the Tylar Agency Currently Brody Hodgson has the most games played in Helsinki Titans franchise history with 504. He is also third in goals, third in assists, third in points and first in game winners. The center is still waiting to see if his number will be retired, although it is not a slam dunk at this point. Hodgson was known as a Helsinki soldier who played his entire career in a Titans jersey. He was always known as the depth player that helped Helsinki throughout his career. After being a later pick, Hodgson turned out to be a franchise player for Helsinki even though he was not always the most talented player on the roster. Hodgson will always been known in Helsinki and he will never forget Helsinki either. Hodgson was a diamond in the rough and will be the player the Tylar Agency will always be known for. His underratedness was probably his best quality. Hodgson was a really why the Tylar Agency is even involved with the VHL anymore and its yet to be seen if he’ll be acknowledged for his time by Titans management. Brody Hodgson with Helsinki Andrey Zadorov was a bit of a whiff for the Tylar agency. After being drafted 6th overall by the New York Americans in Season 36, Zadorov began his career as a depth defenseman. Zadorov’s highest point totals were in Season 42 where he achieved 77 points. Otherwise Andrey hovered just below the 60 point mark his entire career. He was surprisingly a two time all-star though. He did win the Continental cup in S39 with the New York Americans. But was then traded to the Cologne Express as a cap casualty. After two seasons in Cologne, he went to Davos where his career ended. Zadorov spent most of his days on the second or first pairing tied to an elite defenseman. Zadorov played a lot with Connor Low in his breakout season which is obviously why he had a breakout season. In all Zadorov never really hit his potential but he was a serviceable VHL defenseman for many years. Marcel Faux with Helsinki Marcel Faux is probably the Tylar Agencies best player thus far. The high scoring Canadian has put up amazing numbers in both the VHL and VHLM throughout his career. In the VHLM he benefitted from being on two stacked teams, including his second season where he was the VHLM’s leading point getter and goal scorer along with the Most Valuable Player. He has also won two Founders Cups and two Continental Cups. He has 4 individual trophies including recently winning the Funk Trophy in the VHL. Faux has been a great player for the Helsinki Titans in his career and he still has a few years left in him. This season he has been struggling after his breakout Funk winning 106 point season. He is currently sitting under a point per game pace and the Titans are not winning or scoring. The Titans after a good start are back at the bottom of the standings. The Tylar Agency has heavy ties to the Helsinki Titans with two players having spent almost their whole careers with them. We will see if the Tylar Agency will bring over anyone else after Faux is gone.
  21. Last season Marcel Faux was over a point per game with over 100 points with the Helsinki Titans. The Titans blew up their roster and now Faux is one of the only ones left. Faux is now sitting not even at a point per game pace thus far and it seems he has regressed. Maybe it is time for Faux to call it quits come pre-season? Speculation around Helsinki is that Marcel will be dealt at the trade deadline, but will it be enough for Marcel to even consider not retiring during preseason? “It is weird to go from the amazing season I had last year to the one I am having currently. It has been tough so far and I have been pretty frustrated with my own play and the fact our team is not winning games. The team is not doing well and I am not either. Maybe we will turn it around but now I basically sit and wait to see if I get dealt. I may end up retiring pre-season unless someone happens for me. Time will tell.” 182 words
