  1. Welcome everyone, I know that the season is already well underway, but I still wanted to make my own prediction of what the VHLE’s standings will look like at the end of the season. In this media spot, I will look at each team and predict where they will end the season. Stockholm Vikings @twists Current: 1st Projected: 1st If you look at the Vikings roster, they certainly don’t have the best one. However, on the ice they play like the best team in the league and their record of 16 wins in 22 games shows just that. They are carried by their first line composed of Don Aven @Novanod, John Richards @John Cimarno and Logan Foley @WildfireMicro that respectively have 31, 30 and 22 points. Aven and Richards are both leading the league for the number of points. Even if on paper Stockholm’s defense looks a little weak, they can count on one of the best goalies in the league since the start of the season in Travis Clark @ClarkClanT. Clark leads the league in the save percentage (0.944) and is third for the GAA (2.07). Rome Gladiators @Baby Boomer Current: 3rd Projected: 2nd (not biased at all) The Rome Gladiators are not having the start to the season they expected and are sitting in 3rd place in the standings. On paper, the Gladiators are probably the best team in the league and now they only need to show it on the ice. Their forwards core led by the captain BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10 and his assistants Hannibal Barca @DreMin15 and Francesco Mancini @GioSivo is one of the best if not the best in the league. The only weakness we can notice on the team is probably the lack of depth defenseman that can help Bobby Bob in their own zone. In the net the team has Matthew McCagg @Jack kidd who is currently doing a really good job. Cologne Express @leandrofg Current: 4th Projected: 3rd The defending champion of the Renaissance Cup lost a couple of players who moved up in the VHL, but their roster is still looking really good, especially their defenseman core that is probably the best in the league led by Harkat Mulds @hylands, Michael Shotter @TacocaT9 and Justin Lion @Emperor_Fun in the net. The group of forwards is not exceptional, but they still have players that won the Cup with the team last season that are back like Damian Steele @73MPL4R and Lorenzo Cobberson @Hendrix Cobberson. There is also Al Land @Big Dee who was on the team two seasons ago when they broke the record for the best regular season in the history of the VHLE. Geneva Rush @MexicanCow123 Current: 2nd Projected: 4th When you look at Geneva’s roster, it does not look like the second-best team in the league, but when you addition the performances of some players on the team, you have yourself a very competitive team. Indeed, the first line composed of Jasper Davis @Josh, Maxwell Mathias @Underclass_Hero and Kobe Johnson @Vkobe-v is the best line in the league now. In the net, they have the rookie Merome Dilson @MexicanCow123 who is showing great thing since the start of the season. If he continues like that, he will certainly be in the talks for the Orian D H Chiester IX Trophy awarded to the best goalie of the regular season. Istanbul Red Wolves @Masu Chan Current: 6th Projected: 5th On paper, the Istanbul Red Wolves have one of the best rosters in league, but they are clearly not showing that on the ice. Indeed, the Red Wolves are currently sitting in 6th place in the standings, and nothing is showing that they will improve after their seventh losses in the last eight games. However, Istanbul has the second-best defensive group in the league and two good goalies that can help them turn this season around fight for a place in the playoffs. Indeed, Mark Calaway @Beketov is leading the defenseman for the number of points and is fourth in the league in the same category. Oslo Storm @JB123 Current: 5th Projected: 6th After taking part in the last three Renaissance Cup finals, the best days of the Oslo Storm are behind them. However, the team accustomed us to have teams that are not the best on paper and during the regular season, but also that surprise us when the playoffs come. Oslo is probably a little bit below the middle of the league in all the positions, but they can still count on great players in offense like Keno Akara @Keno and in defense like Admir Bala @Tyler. They also claimed George Sanderson @SpicyGecko as a free agent, a new defenseman that will come help solidified the team in their own zone. Vasteras Iron Eagles @Lemorse7 Current: 8th Projected: 7th The only thing I can say about the start to the season of the Vasteras Iron Eagles is very disappointing. Indeed, the roster of the Iron Eagles really does not look bad, and they certainly do not have one of a team who is last in the league. Even if it is not the best in the league, the offense of the team is still composed of good players such as Sebastien Dokis @Sebastien, Keita Kourou @woog and Vinny Lecavalier @Spartakiller2. However, the problem of this team is their defense and their goalie. When you only have three defenseman and none of them can be on the top pair of a winning team, you have a problem. Bratislava Watchmen @UnknownMinion Current: 7th Projected: 8th I don’t think there is much to say here. After being a consistent good team for the past seasons, the Bratislava Watchmen entered a rebuild last season and they are still in the middle of it. They have a lot of players on their roster that they claimed at the end of the free agent period, so they are not going to be as bad as the Gladiators last year, but they will not be good. The Watchmen will certainly surprise some teams this season, but I don’t think that can do much more than that with the roster they have. Thanks everyone for reading all of this. This is my opinion and as you can see, I am clearly biased, so you don’t have to agree lol, but that is the only thing you can do about it sorry. 1025 words
  2. Bravo! Bien mérité.
  3. The Rome Gladiators have offered a contract to George Sanderson.
  4. Welcome everyone, The season is underway and there are a lot of really good team in the VHLE this season, so it is going to be a fun one. Before the start of the season, the GM of the Rome Gladiators decided to complete one last trade to improve the team. The Rome Gladiators sent antonio marchand @Tapirman, a S89 3rd and a S89 4th to the Bratislava Watchmen for the service of Ray withers @Ray Withers for this season. With this trade, the Gladiators are trying to complete a forward core already very good. However, even if on paper, Rome is supposed to have one of the best roster of the league, on the ice the team is having some problems. Indeed, Rome has a record of 6 wins, 7 losses and 1 lost in overtime for a total of 13 points in 14 games. This record places them 6th in the standings, but only 6 points behind the Geneva Rush who are 2nd in the standings. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  5. Welcome everyone, The off-season is over and since April 6th the season has started. Bobby Bob finally decided to play in the VHLE this season with the Rome Gladiators. He will be a very important for the team this season. In this eighth episode of « The Bobs legacy, the sequel », we are going to talk about the end of the off-season and the beginning of the season of Bobby Bob and the Rome Gladiators. At the end of the off-season, the Rome Gladiators named the leadership group and they decided that BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10 was going to lead the team and wear the “C” on his jersey. Hannibal Barca @DreMin15, Francesco Mancini @GioSivo, and Bobby Bob are all going to help him in this job of taking the team to the promised land. We talked to the GM of the Rome Gladiators and he said that he was really happy with how the team is looking like at the moment. He also said that he was really confident that the team was going to perform this season. The season is still really young, and the Rome Gladiators only played four games. They started the season against the Istanbul Red Wolves and lost the game 3-1. The forward of the Red Wolves, Alexander Stroheim @Stroheim, participated to all the goals of his team and finished the game with one goal and two assists. The second game of the season was also against the Istanbul Red Wolves and the Rome Gladiators lost again, but this time by the score of 2-1. In the defeat, the goalie of the Gladiators, Matthew McCagg @Jack kidd, saved 40 of the 42 shots he faced and earned the first star of the game. After starting the season 0-2, the Rome Gladiators woke up and won the next two games. They won the first one 3-1 to the Oslo Storm again thanks to Matthew McCagg who saved 38 shots and finished the game with a save percentage of 0.974 and the second star of the game. In the win, Ray withers @Ray Withershad three points (3a) and earned the third star of the game. The second one ended with a 3-1 win of the Rome Gladiators over the Vasteras Iron Eagles. Both Hannibal Barca and Francesco Mancini finished the game with one goal and one assist and the second and third star respectively. Matthew McCagg also already earned his second first star this season saving 29 of the 30 shots he faced. The team is having a good start to the season and Bobby Bob is having an even better one. Indeed, Bob has 3 goals and 4 assists for a total of 7 points in only 4 games. Bobby is tied in second place for the number of goals, assists, and points in the league and he is also leading the defenseman for the number of points. If we look at slightly more defensive stats, Bobby Bob has 12 shots blocked and is fifth in the league in this category. Like I said, the season is still very young, but Bobby Bob and the Rome Gladiators showed some really interesting thing and we can hope for some really good things this season.

  16. Welcome everyone, The draft is behind us and it is now free agent time! Since the beginning of the free agent period, the Rome Gladiators signed three players. They signed the center Gavin Rozzdale and the defenseman Charles Williams and Arthur Kimura. Gavin Rozzdale played with the Stockholm Vikings for the last two seasons and scored 19 goals and added 41 assists for a total of 60 points in 144 games. Charles Williams is playing in the VHLE since S83 and has 184 points in 338 games. Williams started his career in the VHLE with the Rome Gladiators and is now making a come back with the team after playing for several other teams. Finally, Arthur Kimura is an old wolf and is playing in the VHLE since his creation in S80. In 568 games, he recorded 452 points playing for six of the eight teams in the league. The Rome Gladiators also already completed a trade by sending the forwards Legacy Gaming and Mac Dre to the Istanbul Red Wolves in exchange of the forward Francesco Mancini. Mancini played in the VHLM last year for the San Diego Marlins and had 68 points (30g, 38a) in 72 games. The team is starting to look pretty solid now and we can expect a great season for the Gladiators. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!

  22. Welcome everyone, Last week was the drafts week, we had the VHL entry draft Monday, the VHLM dispersal draft Thursday and the VHLE entry draft Friday and Bobby Bob was eligible for the VHL and the VHLE drafts. Last week we looked at every team where Bob could have end up and in this seventh episode of « The Bobs legacy, the sequel » we are going to look at both team that drafted Bobby Bob. Before the S88 VHL draft, a lot of teams approached Bobby about his interest in playing for them, his goals, his plan for the future of his career and even the player he wanted to become. He was ranked pretty high in the draft and in his mock draft in the VSN, @Alex said that Bobby Bob was going to be drafted 5th overall by the Prague Phantoms. However, Bobby was finally drafted 3rd overall by the Toronto Legion behind Mark Calaway @Beketov drafted 1st overall by the D.C. Dragons and FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY Analfist @STZ drafted 2nd overall by the Vancouver Wolves. Bobby Bob and the Legion had some really good talk before the draft and they even told Bobby that they were going to draft him if he was still available when it was their time to pick, so he was confident. The Toronto Legion are currently in a rebuild and they are going in the right direction with some really good players, like the forwards Mac Atlas @v.2 and Jimi Jaks @kelvi, the defensemen Tater Tottingham @Trunkxolotl and the goalie Joel Castle @animal74. However, the team will not be competitive before a season or two and this one of the reasons why Bobby decided to stay in the VHLE one season before jumping in the VHL. Bobby was really happy to be drafted by Toronto and he is really excited to start his career in the VHL next season with the Canadian team. Unlike the VHL teams, no team contacted Bobby Bob, but the rumors were saying that Bob was going to be drafted in the first round, by either the Oslo Storm or the Rome Gladiators. Finally, the father decided to draft the son and Bobby Bob was drafted 6th overall by the Rome Gladiators. They also had the first overall pick, and they went for the Swedish forward, BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10. Together, they are going to lead the team this season the roster in general is looking good. Last year was a difficult one for the Gladiators and this year is supposed to be completely different. Indeed, we talked to the GM of Rome, and he confirmed to us that the Italian team was going to be competitive this season and for the seasons to come. Bobby Bob decided to stay down one season, to try to win the Reconnaissance Cup and dominate the VHLE. Next season, Bobby is expected to play in the VHL with the Toronto Legion and since the defense of the team is not really good at the moment, Bobby Bob will probably play on the top defensive pair.
  23. Thanks @Masu Chan for the trade talk! Welcome on the team @GioSivo and thanks to @Gaming Ringleader and @MacDre for your short journey with the Gladiators! Here is the link to the locker room : https://discord.gg/QqqcEK2T
  24. Welcome eveyone, Last drifay was the S88 VHLE entry draft and the Rome Gladiators had a lot of picks including the first overall pick. The Gladiators decided to choose BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10 with that first overall pick. After, Rome decided to make Bobby Bob (6th overall) their second pick of the first round. In the second round, the italian team only had one pick and they decided to choose Legacy Gaming (9th overall) @Gaming Ringleader, but I heard some rumors that Gaming was not happy with the team that drafted him and that the Gladiators are talking with the Istanbul Red Wolves about a trade involving Legacy Gaming. In the third round, chose Alex DeLuca @Deluca and Justin Williams @JCV with the 17th and 23th pick overall. Rome also had two picks in the fourth round and they went with Jeremia Barbaslov (25th overall) @Je Barbaslov and Boolie Buchholz (31th overall) @Jacob buchholz. Finally, they drafted Robert Boldy @The Goblin and Scuff McGruff @ScuffMcgruff in the fifth round and Thomas Zubrus @Zuby in the sixth round. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
