  1. @v.2 Welcome everyone, Once again, we had a really exciting regular season in the VHLE, and we can expect playoffs at least as exciting. In this VSN article, I am going to do my predictions for the S90 playoffs. Semi-final – Vasteras Iron Eagles (1) vs Cologne Express (4) Regular season record: VAS win 10-4-0 After having a really good regular season and winning the King’s Cup for the best regular season record, the Vasteras Iron Eagles are entering the playoffs with the hope to win nothing less than the Renaissance Cup. The Iron Eagles easily won the regular season series between the two teams, and I think this series will look exactly the same. After leading the team in goals (41), in assists (45) and in points (86) during the regular season, Braeden Panarella @ThatCasual is going to have an important offensive role during the playoffs. Vasteras is good offensively, but they are even better defensively, their goalie Olivier Gauthier @fonziGG and their best defensive defensemen Joe Block @jblock3 were a big part of their success. However, Cologne is not a team you should look down on them, because on paper they have one of the best team on the league and even if it was not the season they hoped for, they could really cause a surprise and win this series. They will need the help of their best player, Sjin @Sjin, who led the team for the numbers of assists (49) and points (86), if they want to cause a surprise in this series. The Predictions: Vasteras in 6 games Semi-final – Rome Gladiators (2) vs Bratislava Watchmen (3) Regular season record: ROM win 9-4-2 A little bit like the other semi-final, the Rome Gladiators dominated the regular season series between the two teams, and everything is saying that it should be an easy win for the Gladiators. However, when you look at the regular season and the roster of the Bratislava Watchmen, you know right away that it will be a really exciting series to follow. Bratislava had the best offensive duo in the league this season with Otis Boudreaux Jr @Otis Boudreaux Jr leading the league in points (92) and finishing second in assists (56) and Harry Callahan @dstevensonjr who finished second in points (90) and led the league in goals (44). The Slovak team were also the best defensive team in the league and the incredible performances of their goalie WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW @rory, who led the league for the save percentage (0.936%) and the goal against average (2.27), helped a lot. However, the Rome Gladiators showed during the regular season that they were better than the Watchmen and players like BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10, Ben Dover @Zylen, King Kisslinger @Kisslinger, Raimo Tuominen @SlapshotWrangler, Pope Francis @nurx, Conference Prince-de-Galles @UnkemptCL4PTP and Travis Clark @ClarkClanT are going to be really important players if they want to win this series. The Predictions: Rome in 7 games Final – Vasteras Iron Eagles (1) vs Rome Gladiators (2) Regular season record: ROM win 7-3-4 As you can see with the regular season record, the series between Vasteras and Rome was really really tight and we expect a final exactly like that. Indeed, both teams could win the series, but when you look at the details, Vasteras has a better goalie and a better defense than Rome and their offense is similar. At the end of the day, the Iron Eagles are a little bit better than the Gladiators, so this is why I am going with the Vasteras Iron Eagles to win the Renaissance Cup, but both teams have their chances. The Predictions: Vasteras in 7 games Thanks a lot for reading everyone, see you all next time for another VSN article and feel free to write your predictions in the comments.
  2. 4. I am currently watching the 4th season of sex education and just like the first three seasons, it is really good. 5. I know it is a really weird mix, but I will go with Juice Wrld, Martin Garrix and a Quebec band, Les Cowboys Fringuants. 6. There is only one good answer and it is strawberry jam, but I can accept nutella.
  3. Thanks @Gaming Ringleader for the quick trade talks and good luck @The Goblin in Oslo. Welcome to Rome @SlapshotWrangler and @Zylen, we have work to do, let’s get that Cup!!!! here is the locker room link : https://discord.gg/PCbpc34Y
  4. @leandrofg Welcome back everyone, In the first part of the VHLE’s 10-season overview, we talked about the most important moments of the life of the VHLE, but in this second part, we are going to look at the best GMs, the best and the worst seasons, the best teams, the best players and even some weird records. The best GMs If we are talking about the best GMs of the VHLE’s history, we must talk about JB who was GM of the Oslo Storm from S83 to S89. During his time in Oslo, @JB123 won three Renaissance Cup in S85, S86 and S88 and two Thadius Sales Trophy for the top general manager of the regular season in S85 and S87. Another GM who stood out is the GM of the Stockholm Vikings from S80 to S84, @thadthrasher. Sales won the trophy for the top general manager, that would later be named after him, in S80 and S81 and he won the Renaissance Cup in S81. Then, we have @InstantRockstar (S82, S82) and @leandrofg (S86, S87) who each won a Thadius Sales Trophy and a Renaissance Cup. Finally, I wanted to give an honorable mention to @FrostBeard, because I believe he did not have enough recognition for the team he built when he was a GM for Bratislava in the VHLE. The best/worst season We saw a lot of very good teams over the last ten seasons in the VHLE, but we also saw some pretty bad ones and we are going to look at them. We are going to start with the best team the VHLE ever saw, and it is the S86 Cologne Express. The Express finished the regular season with the most wins in one season with 58, the less losses in one season with 14 and the most points in one season with 120. They also had the ninth best penalty kill in the history of the VHLE with a percentage of 85.20 and the least goal against in one season with only 141. Now, we are going to look at the worst team of the history of the VHLE, the S87 Rome Gladiators. The Rome Gladiators ended the regular season with the least wins in one season with 2, the most losses in one regular season with 70 and the least points in one regular season with 7. They scored the fourth smallest number of goals in one season with 155 and had the second most goals against with 372. Finally, the S87 Rome Gladiators had the second worst PK with a percentage of 67.60. The best teams Name of the team # of Games # of Wins # of Points # of King’s Cup # of final appearance # of Renaissance Cup Cologne Express 720 441 wins 952 points 3 (S82, S86, S87) 4 (S82, S85, S87, S89) 2 (S87, S89) Istanbul Red Wolves 720 375 wins 806 points 3 (S81, S84, S89) 2 (S84, S89) 1 (S84) Bratislava Watchmen 720 366 wins 802 points 0 1 (S83) 1 (S83) Stockholm Vikings 720 358 wins 777 points 1 (S80) 1 (S81) 1 (S81) Vasteras Iron Eagles 720 331 wins 717 points 1 (S83) 3 (S80, S83, S84) 1 (S80) Rome Gladiators 720 322 wins 716 points 0 5 (S80, S81, S82, S86, S88) 1 (S82) Oslo Storm 648 311 wins 674 points 1 (S85) 4 (S85, S86, S87, S88) 3 (S85, S86, S88) Geneva Rush 648 304 wins 664 points 1 (S88) 0 0 When you look at the chart above, you can clearly see who the best teams were in the regular season and in the playoffs. In the regular season, far ahead, we have the Cologne Express with their 441 wins and 952 points in 720 games. After, we have the Istanbul Red Wolves in second place with 375 wins and 806 points in 720 games. Both Istanbul and Cologne won three King’s Cups for the winner of the regular season. In the playoffs, the best team was definitely the Oslo Storm with four finals appearances and three Renaissance Cups. However, the Rome Gladiators with their five finals appearances and their one Renaissance Cup and the Cologne Express with four finals appearances and two Renaissance Cups are not too far behind.   The best season by player  After talking about the best teams, we are going to look at the best players to ever play in the VHLE. When you look at the best seasons by a player, you immediately notice that S80 and S81 were seasons with a lot of goals scored, so a lot of the records are from these seasons. Indeed, the four players who scored the most goals, assists and points in one season did it in S80 or S81, Brussels Sprout @Liberty_Cabbage (62) with Oslo in S81, Kyosti Karjalainen @UnkemptCL4PTP (57) with Cologne in S81, Yun Chiang @nurx (57) with Oslo in S81 and Braxton Hunter @dshervill (52) with Vasteras in S81 scored the most goals in one season. Zeljko Ranogajec @ColeMrtz currently holds the record for the most assists in one season, as they recorded 103 assists in S81 with the Cologne Express. Three players had a season of more than 120 points in the history of the VHLE and it is Brussels Sprout (130) with Oslo in S81, Kyosti Karjalainen (128) with Cologne in S81 and Omi Aberg @osens (121) with Stockholm in S80. These are the players that are currently leading the league in the offensive categories. The best goalies If we are talking about the best goalies, we must talk about the best one the VHLE ever saw, Orion D H Chiester IX @Donno100. Chiester IX played with the Bratislava Watchmen from S80 to S86 and won the trophy for the best goaltender of the regular season, that would later be name after his name, three times in a row in S84, S85 and S86. In 382 career games, he recorded 210 wins, 116 losses and 46 overtime losses. He also had a save percentage of 0.923%, an average of goals against of 2.63 and 25 shutouts. The VHLE also saw some pretty good goalies like Justin Lion @Emperor_Fun who played with the Cologne Express from S87 to S89 and won the Orion D H Chiester IX Trophy in S89. He ended his VHLE career with a save percentage of 0.930 and an average of goals against of 2.10. There is also Geoff Bezos @Quik that played with the Stockholm Vikings and the Istanbul Red Wolves in S85 and S86 respectively. He finished his career with a save percentage of 0.934%, an average of goals against of 2.19 and an Orion D H Chiester Trophy in S86. This is all for me, thanks for reading and see you next time! If you think I missed something, feel free to write it in the comments.
  5. Game #26 recap: The game was between the first two teams in the league, the Vasteras Iron Eagles and the Stockholm Vikings. The Iron Eagles won the game without any difficulty by the score of 5-1 and they also dominated in the shots as they outshoot the Vikings 59-30. Axle Gunner had a really good game in the victory as he finished the match with three points (2g, 1a). Fun fact, Braeden Panarella finished the game with 11 shots and one assist, but no goal.
  6. The Rome Gladiators are incredibly proud to announce the retirement of the jersey of : #91 Deke Rike @JCV Deke Rike was drafted 44th overall in the 8th round of the first ever VHLE Entry Draft in S80 by the Rome Gladiators and he played three seasons with the team from S80 until his retirement in S82. Rike played 216 regular season games with the Gladiators and recorded 78 goals and 140 assists for a total of 218 points. He is third in the history of the Rome Gladiators for the number of goals (78), second for the number of assists (140) and points (218), fourth for the number of shots (881) and also for the number of game winning goals (11). Rome made it to the finals in the three seasons that Rike was with the team and they even won the Renaissance Cup in S82. In the playoffs, Deke Rike scored 9 goals and added 30 assists for a total of 39 points in 34 games and he is second in the history of the Rome Gladiators in the two last categories. Congratulations and once again, thank you for everything you did for the team!
  7. After two playoffs participation in a row, the Rome Gladiators will try to make it three in a row and this leadership group will play a big part in this journey. So, the organization of the Rome Gladiators are proud to announce the leadership group for this season. C - BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10 A - Pope Francis @nurx A - King Kisslinger @Kisslinger Congratulations to all of you and Let’s get that Cup!!
  8. @JB123 has always been my role model.
  9. @leandrofg Welcome everyone, The start of a new season means a new power ranking, and this is what this article will be about. The VHLE only has 6 teams now, so this means that we are going to see more teams that are trying to be competitive. Indeed, this season is going to be a very interesting one as almost all the teams can hope to win the Cup at the end of the season. #1 Vasteras Iron Eagles Offense Rank: 1st Defense Rank: 1st Goalie Rank: 1st Even if there are a lot of good teams, the Vasteras Iron Eagles are the best of them all. Vasteras simply are the best in the league in every position. They have the best goalie in the league in Olivier Gauthier @fonziGG, they have the best defense lead by Big B @Bigb33 and Hannibal Barca @DreMin15 and the best offense with veterans like Shubham Anand @Will3 and Braeden Panarella @ThatCasual and rookies like Severus Targaryen @Banackock and Axle Gunner @Steve. There is no doubt that the Iron Eagles are going to be really dangerous this season. #2 Cologne Express Offense Rank: 2nd Defense Rank: 2nd Goalie Rank: 5th Just like Vasteras, the Cologne Express are going to be a really good team this season. Indeed, they have the second-best offense and defense in the league with forwards like John Richards @John Cimarno and Keegan Gamble @Keegan Gamble and the defensemen Keno Akara @Keno and Reginald the Dodo @Esso2264 . However, the Express have two young goaltenders that may have some difficulties at the beginning of the season, and this is why they are not going to finish first in the standings this season. #3 Bratislava Watchmen Offense Rank: 4th Defense Rank: 3rd Goalie Rank: 2nd After missing the playoffs in the last three seasons, the Bratislava Watchmen are finally ready to be competitive again and their goalies WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW @rory and Jonny Elgar @Jonny are going to be important this season. They can also count on a pretty good defense lead by the rookies Walter Fitzroy Jr @Moon and Jebediah Big Ol Doinks in Amish @hylands. The only position that could hurt them is the offense has they don’t have a lot of great forwards like Henry Callahan @dstevensonjr and Otis Boudreaux Jr @Otis Boudreaux Jr. #4 Rome Gladiators Offense Rank: 3rd Defense Rank: 4th Goalie Rank: 4th Even if the Rome Gladiators are not looking as good on paper as the three first teams, I can really see them compete with them all season long and maybe even cause some surprises. Lead by their captain BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10 and the rookie King Kisslinger @Kisslinger, their offense is looking pretty good and the last winner of the Jake Thunder Trophy, Pope Francis @nurx, will have to play another incredible season to help the team and their goalie Travis Clark @ClarkClanT. #5 Stockholm Vikings Offense Rank: 5th Defense Rank: 5th Goalie Rank: 3rd The Stockholm Vikings are not going to be a bad team, however they lake the depth forwards and top 2 defensemen to be a really competitive team. Ronald Johnson MacWallace III @RJMW will need to have a really good season offensively if he want to give his team a chance to compete, and Ryan Artyomov @Enorama will also have to be outstanding in the net. #6 Oslo Storm Offense Rank: 6th Defense Rank: 6th Goalie Rank: 6th Without disrespecting the Oslo Storm, I just don’t see how they can hope to compete this season. Indeed, the team does not really have any elite forward except Ben Dover @Zylen and they don’t even have four defensemen. In addition, their goalie is not going to steal a lot of games this season. We could very well be seeing Oslo pay the cost for their success in previous seasons. Well, this is all for me, thanks for reading and see you in another VSN article. P.S. this is only my opinion, so you may disagree and if it is the case feel free to comment your prediction of the standings in the VHLE this season.
  10. Welcome to the team @ctots we are really happy to have you and thanks @Zetterberg for the trade talks. Condition: if the S91 draft has a 5th round, Vasteras 5th round pick goes to Rome.
  11. The Rome Gladiators offers a 1-season extension to Mclean Hoover II. @McLean Hoover, please respond to this post to accept.

  13. Congratulations everyone!!
  14. @leandrofg Welcome everyone, We can all agree that the VHLE is a very “controversial” league, but regardless of what all the haters are saying about the E, the league is already ten seasons old. A lot of things happened in the last ten seasons and in this VSN article, we are going to look at the most important moments of the life of the VHLE. 1. The first VHLE entry draft in S80 At the time, there were only 6 teams in the league and the draft was in a snake format so the order of the selections for the 7-12 picks were the opposite of the order of the selections for the 1-6 picks. For the S80 draft, there were 16 rounds with 6 picks each for a total of 96 drafted players. The Cologne Express had the first overall pick and they selected Darth Kaprizov @Darth Kaprizov to be the first player of the VHLE’s history. A lot of hidden gems were found in this draft, but the biggest is without a doubt the 82nd overall pick of the Bratislava Watchmen in the 14th round, Orion D H Chiester IX @Donno100. Chiester IX played for the Watchmen for seven seasons from S80 to S86 and he won the trophy for the best goaltender of the regular season, that was later named after him, three seasons in a row from S83 to S85. 2. The arrival of Oslo and Geneva in the VHLE After only one season with six teams, the commissioners decided that it was not enough and that the league needed two more teams. This is when the Yukon Rush and the Minnesota Storm left the VHLM to become the Geneva Rush and the Oslo Storm in the VHLE. The Oslo Storm will become one of the best franchises in the history of the VHLE while Geneva will not have the same prestige that the Yukon Rush had in the VHLM. 3. Three finals in a row for the Rome Gladiators After losing the series 4-3 to the Vasteras Iron Eagles in the first ever final of the Renaissance Cup in S80, the Rome Gladiators also made it into the final of the playoffs in S81 and S82 to make it into three finals appearances in a row. This sequence is the second longest in the league’s history after the Storm’s sequence between S85 and S88. The Rome Gladiators lost the S81 final to the Stockholm Vikings in four little games and it is only in their third final appearances in S82 that they won their first Renaissance Cup in franchise history. To win the Cup, the Gladiators defeated the Cologne Express 4-3 after losing the first three games of the series. 4. Oslo’s domination After Rome in the early 80s, the mid-late 80s were Oslo’s domination time. Indeed, the Oslo Storm made the playoffs from S85 to S89, and they also reached the final from S85 to S88. From these appearances, they won three of them, in S85, S86 and S88. Year after year, Oslo had a competitive team and even if they were not the best team on paper, they always managed to play well together and be the best team on the ice. We also must give credit to @JB123 for his incredible work as Oslo’s GM since he joined the team in S83. He managed to keep his player on the team for a long time and this is how the team built his chemistry. The best example is Brodie Landry III @Brodie_Landry who played with Oslo from S85 to S87 and was a really important piece to win the Cup in S85 and S86. 5. The departure of Istanbul and Geneva After nine seasons with eight teams in the VHLE, the commissioners decided that there was not enough active player in the league to keep that many teams. Since Geneva and Istanbul are not the franchises with the biggest history in the league, it was logical that it was these two teams that had to go. Indeed, Geneva never won the Renaissance Cup, and they never even made the final. For their part, Istanbul won the Renaissance Cup once in S84 and made the final again in S89. The departure of the two franchises means that the VHLE will only count six teams and four of them will make the playoffs each season. The 1st team in the standings will play against the 4th team and the 2nd against the 3rd in a best of 7 series and the winners of each series will face each other in the final of the Renaissance Cup in a best of 7 series. 6. The individual trophies From S80 to S84, the trophies in the VHLE did not have a name and were called by what they were, like best goalie, playoffs MVP, etc. However, in S85 the league decided that it would be time to give the trophies some names. The six trophies that were awarded in S84 have been named after former players that best represent the reason they are given. We will start with the Ronan Lavelle @Arce Trophy who is awarded to the most valuable player of the regular season. Lavelle won the trophy in S82 with 49 goals and 101 points with the Geneva Rush. After, there is the Florida Man @zepheter Trophy who is awarded to the player deemed to be the most valuable player in the playoffs. Man won it in S81 after scoring 9 goals and 20 points in only 9 games with the Stockholm Vikings. Then, the Orion D H Chiester IX @Donno100 Trophy is awarded to the top goalie in the VHLE. Chiester IX won this trophy three times in a row in S83, S84 and S85 all with the Bratislava Watchmen. Subsequently, the Jake Thunder @Thunder Trophy is given to the top defenseman of the regular season. Thunder won it in S83 after blocking 216 shots and recording 197 hits with the Oslo Storm. The last player individual trophy is the Aldwin Craig @Eldredman Trophy who is awarded to the best two-way forward in the VHLE. Craig won it in S82 with the Stockholm Vikings after scoring 70 points and recording 450 hits in only one season. Finally, we have the Thadius Sales @thadthrasher Trophy who is awarded to the best GM in the league. Sales won it twice with the Stockholm Vikings in S80 and S81, but without taking away any of his credit, I believe that another GM would deserve to have his name on this trophy, and it is @JB123 who also won it twice (S85, S87), but this is a subject for the next article… Thanks everyone for reading, it is all for me, I hope you liked it and see you next time for part II.

  16. Welcome to the S89 VHLE playoffs preview! @leandrofg Playoffs time people!! Once again, we had a really competitive regular season in the VHLE and each team that made the playoffs have a good chance of winning the Renaissance Cup. Today I will make my predictions for the S89 VHLE’s playoffs, but like I said all the teams can win the Cup, so anything is possible. P.S. the article was made before Rome won the series... Wildcard series (4) vs (5) Regular season series: Rome = 5-3-2 Best offense: Rome Best defense: Oslo Best goalie: Oslo We are starting with the Wildcard series opposing the Oslo Storm to the Rome Gladiators. These teams have a big history in the playoffs as they faced each other two times in the last three finals of the Renaissance Cup and each time Oslo won the series. Just like their matchups in the regular season showed, the series is going to be really close. In the regular season, the Gladiators won the series 5-3-2, but on paper the Storm is supposed to be a little bit better team. This is why I give Oslo the advantage in this series. Prediction: Oslo in 3 games Semi-Final (1) vs (4) Regular season series: Istanbul = 6-4-0 Best offense: Istanbul Best defense: Istanbul Best goalie: Istanbul The Istanbul Red Wolves finished in the top 4 of the league, for the first time since S84 they really have the team to go all the way. On paper Oslo and Istanbul are pretty similar, a really good goalie, a good defense and forwards that can score, but when you look at the season that each team had, Istanbul’s offense, defense and goalie had a better season in almost each category. It should be an easy win for Istanbul, but the playoffs are a completely different season, so Oslo could cause a surprise just like they did in the previous season. However, I still give the advantage to Istanbul. Prediction: Istanbul in 6 games Semi-Final (2) vs (3) Regular season series: Cologne = 6-2-2 Best offense: Tie Best defense: Cologne Best goalie: Cologne This series is without a doubt going to be close and can easily go either way if you only look at the standings. However, in the ten games they played against each other, Geneva only won two games in regulation and two more in shootout. Plus, if you look at each team’s rosters, you can clearly see that Cologne has an advantage. However, Geneva did not end the season 2nd in the standings with a bad team, so the series is going to be a long one. Indeed, I believe that this series is going to see a seventh game and Cologne is going to win this really important game and series. Prediction: Cologne in 7 games Renaissance Cup Final (1) vs (3) Regular season series: Cologne = 5-3-2 Best offense: Istanbul Best defense: Cologne Best goalie: Istanbul Just like all the other ones, I can not say without a doubt who is going to win this ultimate series, but if I look at each team’s roster and at each team’s season, I can have a pretty good idea. Indeed, Istanbul had a much better offense compared to Cologne in the regular season and since Istanbul also has the best goalie, they clearly have an advantage there. If Cologne wants to win this final series, their defense will have to play their best hockey of the season and be everywhere on the ice. However, I still think that at the end of the season Istanbul is going to be the team that will drink with the Renaissance Cup. Prediction: Istanbul in 6 games Thanks everyone for reading, it was my first VSN article and I hope you liked it. If you also have some predictions for the VHLE’s playoffs, you can write them in the comments.
  17. Wow! I was just a little kid when the league opened.
  18. I apply for writer and scout
  19. Welcome everyone, This week is theme week, and we have to say what we would do if we were commish for a day. First, I honestly did not what I would do, but I realised that anything is possible when you are commish, because you can literally do whatever you want (lol). So, I decided that I was going to bring back an old franchise and create a totally new one. Quebec City Meute The Quebec City Meute joined the VHL in S31 and were relocated to Vancouver after S64 and this was one of the biggest mistakes the commish made in the history of the VHL. I am myself from Quebec, so I am very biased, but it does not matter. Quebec currently does not have a team in a professional league and as long as Bettman is going to be commissioner of the NHL, it will stay like that. Even though the city has managed to have more than 18 000 spectators for a junior game, Gary Bettman is a businessman and having a second team in the province of Quebec and an eighth team in Canada is not going to make him make more money. This is why the city of Quebec needs the VHL to bring back the Quebec City Meute, because they deserve a team. The people from the entire province of Quebec loves hockey and I believe that it is outrageous that one of the biggest fanbase in the world does not have a team in the VHL. In addition, there are five teams from the United States and only three from Canada in the North America Conference and I believe that Canada (the greatest hockey country in the world) should have at least four teams. Seoul I was looking at the cities of the teams in the VHL and I noticed that there are only teams in North America and in Europe, but the popularity of hockey is growing in Asia, and I think that they deserve a team. I then searched for the biggest hockey country in Asia, and I found Kazakhstan, South Korea, Japan, and China. South Korea was the second-best Asia country on the 2023 men’s world ranking of the IIHF and the third-best in the 2023 women’s world ranking of the IIHF, so it is still a pretty good hockey country. I chose the country, so now I had to choose the city and I just went with the capital and the biggest city of the country, Seoul. Seoul currently has a population of 9.9 million people. You probably noticed that the team does not have a name yet and it is because I did not give one yet. I wanted to think about it and maybe hear some suggestions that you may have. So, if you have any suggestions, you can tell them to me in the comments. I just added two news teams and you are probably wondering which teams are going to be replaced by the new ones, but I will tell you only when I will officially be a commish (I don’t think I will be commish really soon, sorry…)
  20. Welcome everyone, We are now halfway through the regular season and I wanted to take a look at our rookies and see how they were doing. First, we have our alternate captain, Pope Francis @nurx. Pope was our last third overall pick in the S89 draft and the expectations were high for him. With his 48 points in 38 games, we can wihtout a doubt say that he reached them. In addition, Pope is leading the league in shots blocked with 123. Second, we have another defenseman, Alex DeLuca @Deluca. DeLuca is also doing good with his 20 points in 38 games and his differential of +17. Third, we have the forward Justin Williams @JCV. Williams has 41 points in 38 games and he is 4th in the team in this category. Finally, we have Mclean Hoover II @McLean Hoover who has 31 points in 38 games. Hoover II also has 171 shots and he is 3rd in the team in this category. So, all our rookies are doing good and are helping the team win this season. Thanks everyone for reading, see you next week and let's gooo GLADIATORS!!!!
  21. Game recap #284 The game was opposing the two top teams of the NA Conference, the Seattle Bears and the Calgary Wranglers. The Calgary Wranglers won that game by a score of 2-1. It was a goalie's game, so no one really played a big game offensively, but Daniel Janser @Daniel Janser scored the 50th game winning goal of his career with 11:01 to play in the third period. In the net, Merome Dilson @MexicanCow123 won the first star of the game thanks to his 28 saves and his 0.966 save percentage.
  22. Welcome everyone, We are back for the twelfth episode of « The Bobs legacy, the sequel ». In this episode we are going to look at first half of the season of the Toronto Legion and Bobby Bob’s. After missing the playoffs each season since S84, the expectations were high for the Legion. Before the start of the season, Toronto’s GM @Moon, decided to trade for Jimmy MacElroy @Xflexz to improve the team’s defense. In exchange, Toronto gave a 2nd round pick in S89 to the Vancouver Wolves. However, the season is not going as the team would have like and they are currently last in their Conference with a record of 9 wins, 19 losses and 6 losses in overtime for a total of 24 points in 34 games. The Toronto Legion only scored 70 goals since the beginning of the season, and it is the worst team in the league in this category. In the other hand, they have only 90 goals against, and they are 6th in the league in this category. However, you can not win games if you only score 2 goals per game. Even if the team is not doing as good as they should, some players are doing very good. Indeed, the goalie Joel Castle @animal74 is THE reason why the team is not allowing a lot of goals. He has a save percentage of 0.936%, a goal against average of 2.22 and 2 shutouts. He is respectively third, fifth and ninth in the league in these categories. Another player who is doing good defensively is the new acquisition, Jimmy MacElroy. He is leading the team in shots block with 76 and in hits with 85. MacElroy is also only -3 and is third in the team in this category. The team is not doing really well offensively, but Jimi Jaks @kelvi still managed to have 11 goals and 16 assists for a total of 27 points and he is leading the team in these last two categories. At the beginning of the season, Bobby Bob had a lot of objectives, but he only had one individually: winning the Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy. I am not saying that it is impossible, but if Bob wants to win the Trophy for the best rookie of the regular season, he is going to have to be a lot better than right now. He currently only has 3 goals and 12 assists for a total of 15 points in 34 games and he is 9th among the rookies in the scoring category. It is a little better if you look at the defensive stats as he has 46 hits and 65 shots blocked. He is third in the team in the last category. Bobby knows that he must improve his offensive skills and each day after the morning training, you can see him practicing his wrist shot with the assistant coach. Bob’s first season is maybe not the one he wanted, but he is still young and he has plenty of time to improve his offensive and defensive skills.
