  1. 1. Everyone played really good and even if, on paper, we don't have the best defense in the league, we were great in our own zone. 2. At the time of writing these lines, we aree only three point behind LA, so I believe we will overtake them. 3. It will be very though, but I believe in him and I know he can do a lot of great things. 4. I live in Quebec, so I don't really celebrate Thanksgiving, it would probably be a meat pie (I am not sure if it is even a Thanksgiving dish) 5. There is only one answer here and it is : All I want for Christmas is you. 6. Again, only one good asnwer, Strawberry jam
  2. thanks @rory for the trade talks and welcome back @JardyB10. Let's win a Cup this time!
  3. @Zetterberg Welcome everyone, In the history of the VHLE, we saw a lot of great GM that were able to assemble good team and lead them to the Renaissance Cup, but there is one of them that we can say did it better than everybody else. You guest it, I am talking about @JB123. He was hired as the third VHLE GM of the Oslo Storm in S83 and he resigned form his position at the end of S89. When JB was hired at the start of S83, the Oslo Storm were a rebuilding team and there was not a lot of things he could have done to change that immediately. Indeed, Oslo only had five forwards, one defenseman and one goalie on their roster. They finished the regular season second to last in the league with a record of 21 wins, 43 losses and 8 losses in overtime for a total of 50 points in 72 games. In S84, the Oslo Storm once again had a really bad season and this time they finished the regular season last in the league with 25 wins, 40 losses and 7 losses in overtime for a total of 57 points in 72 games. Unlike the previous season, JB completed a lot of trade in S84. Indeed, one of them was a trade with the Istanbul Red Wolves where he acquired Brodie Landry III @Brodie_Landryand three picks that were used to draft Chip Stone @DoktorFunk, Lorenzo Cobberson @Hendrix Cobbersonand Nikolas Kauppi @Tetricide. Landry III, Cobberson and Kauppi each won at least one Renaissance Cup with Oslo in S85 or S86. In total, JB123 completed three trades in S84, acquiring eleven assets (players or picks) and eight of them have become champions of the Renaissance Cup with the Oslo Storm in S85 or S86. S85 was the first time the Oslo Storm made the playoffs in their VHLE history. They had a really good regular season, and they finished first in the league with a record of 48 wins, 19 losses and 5 overtime losses for a total of 101 points in 72 points. At the trade deadline, JB acquired two defensemen that would win a total of three Cups with the Storm. Indeed, Quinn Clark @axtronwon the Renaissance Cup in S85 and in S86 and Babushka @BrutalBoostwon it in S85. When we interviewed the former Oslo GM, he mentioned that he believes it was his best move, because « it solidified [their] defense that season while providing [them] a cornerstone on defense in Clark for the future ». In the playoffs, the Oslo Storm faced the Vasteras Iron Eagles in the first round and won the series in six games to participate in their first VHLE playoffs final. In the final, the Storm won the series and their first Renaissance Cup in their history against the Cologne Express in six games. In addition, JB won his first Thadius Sales Trophy awarded to the best general manager. Unlike in S85, in S86 the Oslo Storm did not dominate the regular season and they finished fourth in the standings with 40 wins, 25 losses, 7 losses in overtime and a total of 87 points in 72 games. At the beginning of the season, the Storm made the acquisition of Sunglasses Joyo @JetsGoalie101, who ended up being a really important player for the entire S86, for only a 3rd round pick. At the trade deadline, JB acquired Rhys Trenton @DeeGoatand Vinny Lecavalier @Spartakiller2that both played their part in the S86 conquest of the Renaissance Cup. Since the team finished fourth in the regular season, they had to play a best of 3 against the Istanbul Red Wolves to decide which team would play in the first round. Oslo finally won the series in two little games. However, the first round was not going to be an easy one, because the Storm faced the team that had the best regular season record in the history of the VHLE, the Cologne Express. It was supposed to be a walk in the park for Cologne, but after only six games, the Oslo Storm caused one of the biggest surprises ever seen in the VHLE and defeated the winners of the King’s Cup. In the final, after being down 3-1 in the series against the Rome Gladiators, the Oslo Storm caused another surprise and defeated Rome 4-3 to become the first team to win two Renaissance Cup in their VHLE history. When we questioned JB about his favorite Renaissance Cup, he said that even if they were all special, he had to go with S86, because they « started that season off at the bottom of the league and won three playoffs rounds, including one against the best VHLE team ever ». Once again, the Oslo Storm made the playoffs in S87, but this time they finished second in the league with 49 wins, 21 losses and 2 overtime losses for a total of 100 points in 72 games. Just like the last three seasons, JB made some big acquisitions like Halvar Torbjorn @Rayzor_7and Nicholas Blue @lidzthat help the team in S87. He also traded for players like Keno Akara @Keno, Braeden Panarella @ThatCasualand Rip Wheeler @ScottyPthat were part of the team that won the Renaissance Cup in S88. For a third season in a row, the Oslo Storm made it to the final after defeating the Stockholm Vikings in seven games. However, they did not win a third Renaissance Cup in a row, and they lost to the Cologne Express in seven games. Even if they did not win the Cup, JB won his second Thadius Sales Trophy. S88 was yet again another successful season for the Oslo Storm as they finished third in the standings with a record of 42 wins, 22 losses and 8 losses in overtime for a total of 92 points in 72 games. At the trade deadline, JB made a trade with the Vasteras Iron Eagles to acquire three players that were a big part of the S88 Renaissance Cup victory, Alexander Stroheim @Stroheim, Nagy AL @bigALand Wiley Blanchette @Wiley. In the playoffs, the Oslo Storm made the final of the Renaissance Cup for the fourth time in a row after defeating the Cologne Express 4-3 in the first round and they also won their third Cup in four years after winning the final series 4-2 to the Rome Gladiators. For a fifth season in a row, Oslo made the playoffs in the VHLE thanks to their fourth place in the standings and their record of 44 wins, 23 losses and 5 overtime losses for a total of 93 points in 72 games. However, this time it was not a long run as they lost in three games to the Rome Gladiators in the best of 3 series. This was also the last season of JB as the GM of the Oslo Storm. During his time with the Storm, JB123 won three Renaissance Cup in S85, S86 and S88, and he won two Thadius Sales Trophy for the top general manager in S85 and S87. We had the chance to interview JB a couple of days ago and when we asked him about how he felt about being one of the best GM in the history of the VHLE, he said that « there’s been a number of great GMs throughout the history of the VHLE and to be considered as one of them is an honor ». JB also mentioned that the best thing he did was, with the help of @KRZY, to install a winning culture and to turn the team around even if it took a couple seasons. In addition, JB wanted to say that even if there were still a lot of anti-VHLE sentiments in the VHL, he is always going to believe that with the GM and the right people working together, the league can succeed. Finally, when we asked him if there was a chance that we would see him again in a GM position, he clearly said that he would like to return to GMing and that he wants to make the transition to the VHL. That’s all for me. I would like to personally thanks JB for the interview and for everything he did for the VHLE. Also, thanks for reading and see you in another article.
  4. 1. I have a lot of goals, because I want to prove that I am one of the best defenseman in the league. My main goal would be to finish top 10 in points among the defensemen. 2. Not only we are going to make the playoffs, I believe we have a chance to win the Cup this season. 3. I mainly continued to work on my offensive side of the game, but I still want to be good in my own zone.
  5. @Zetterberg Welcome everyone, We are back for another VSN article, and in this article, we are going to do the S91 VHLE season preview. Just like the last few seasons, the VHLE is very competitive, and a lot of teams can have a good season and maybe even cause some surprises. So, even if I believe that the following ranking is pretty accurate, almost everything can happen. #1 Vasteras Iron Eagles Offense rank: 1st Defense rank: 1st Goalie rank: 2nd For a second consecutive season, the Vasteras Iron Eagles are expected to win the King’s Cup for the best regular season record. Indeed, even if a lot of players were called up in the VHL, the Iron Eagles are still looking really good. With the help of returning players like Thor Reingaard @N0HBDY, Kobe Johnson @Vkobe-v and Hannibal Barca @DreMin15 and new players like Callum Gary Yannick Janser @Daniel Janser, Leif Reingaard @Zetterberg and Kyle Toms @Ktoms22, the Vasteras Iron Eagles are once again going to be a tough team to beat. And in the net, they have the second best tandem in the league with Olivier Gauthier @fonziGG and Karl Herzlich @LastGoon007. #2 Cologne Express Offense rank: 2nd Defense rank: 2nd Goalie rank: 4th The Renaissance Cup champions of the last two seasons, the Cologne Express, are going to try to be the first team in the history of the VHLE to win the Cup three seasons in a row. To succeed, Cologne will need the help of players that were with the team last season like Al Land @Big Dee, Martin Kemp @leafsman and Brad Marchand @McGriddy10. The only reason why Cologne’s goalies are ranked 4th in the league is, because goalies in the league are really good this season. Indeed, last season’s winner of the Orion D H Chiester IX Trophy, Clark @cl4rk, has nothing to envy to the other goalies. #3 Bratislava Watchmen Offense rank: T-3rd Defense rank: 3rd Goalie rank: 1st Just like last season, the Bratislava Watchmen are going to fight for a spot in the top 3 of the league and once again, their goalie is going to be a big help. Indeed, WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW @rory will need to have another really good season to help Bratislava do a better run in the playoffs. The Watchmen will also count on players like BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10, Carson Walker Jr @Cwalker and Mina @Baozi this season. #4 Rome Gladiators Offense rank: T-3rd Defense rank: 4th Goalie rank: 5th Once again, the Rome Gladiators are ranked as the last team to make the playoffs in the VHLE, but Rome could very well do like last season and cause a surprise by finishing second in the standings. Indeed, the Gladiators will count on returning players like Mclean Hoover II @McLean Hoover and Conference Prince-de-Galles @UnkemptCL4PTP and new summer acquisitions like Jim Benning Jr @Jim Benning, Nick Sansoe @Tipskid97 and Sunset Moth @McWolf. Rome’s goalie is ranked 5th in the league, but just like with Cologne, Dalkr Vidarsson @KaleebtheMighty is not going to be the weakest link of the team. #5 Stockholm Vikings Offense rank: 5th Defense rank: 5th Goalie rank: 3rd After a few seasons of misery, the Stockholm Vikings are finally starting to look good, and they could do better than expected. However, I don’t think they have the team to really compete yet. Their young stars Grimgor Ironhide @FrostBeard and Spanish Moon Moth @Renomitsu are going to be a big reason of where the team will be at the end of the season. They will also have to count on some big performances of their goalie Olober Syko @Spartan if they want to cause a surprise. #6 Oslo Storm Offense rank: 6th Defense rank: 6th Goalie rank: 6th As expected, after being good for a lot of seasons, the Oslo Storm are still in a rebuild and they are still probably not going to compete to season. Oslo can still count on some rising stars like Rin Kagamine @Rin, Jorji Costova @Hybrid1486 and Jussi Jokinenegg @HearnNation67 to be competitive some nights. Thanks for ready and see you in another VSN article. P.S. I just noticed that this season preview is exactly the same as last season's.
  6. After being only one win away from the Renaissance Cup, the Rome Gladiators will try to be as competitive as last year. The captain of the last three seasons left the team this off-season, so I am proud to announce the leadership group for this season. C - Dalkr Vidarsson @KaleebtheMighty A - Sunset Moth @McWolf A - Mclean Hoover II @McLean Hoover

The S90 winners of the King's Cup are the Vasteras Iron Eagles. @Zetterberg After having an incredible off-season with a lot of draft picks and trades, the Iron Eagles were ready to dominate the regular season. Indeed, at the end of the regular season, Vasteras had 44 wins, 22 losses and 6 losses in overtime for a total of 94 points. Congratulations to all of them!

  20. I apply for GM
  21. @Zetterberg Welcome everyone, We are back for another article of the Victory Sports News, and in this article, we are going to rank the 10 1st overall picks in the VHLE from S80 to S89. We are not going to rank them according to the overall of their career, but only according to their career in the VHLE. Most of the 1st overall picks had really short career in the VHLE, so the sample is small, but we can still see which player had the biggest impact for their respective team. 10-Miervaldis Arpa @lil OG z - G (S82) Miervaldis Arpa was the first overall pick of the Yukon Rush in S82 and as of right now, is also the first and only goalie to ever get drafted first overall in the history of the VHLE. It is difficult to rank Arpa, because the Yukon Rush did not make the playoffs this season and they did not have a good team. This is a reason why Miervaldis also did not have a really good season and finished the regular season with 27 wins, a save percentage of 0.904% and an average of goals against of 3.59 in 56 games. 9-Rick Grimes @tinafrombobsburgers - C (S86) Rick Grimes was the first overall pick of the Istanbul Red Wolves in S86 and even if he is listed as the worst player, he still had a really good season. Indeed, he scored 27 goals and 38 assists for a total of 65 points in 72 games. He also had a differential of +30 and 112 hits during the regular season. Before the regular season, Rick Grimes was traded with Daryl Dixon @Ricer13 to the Bratislava Watchmen at the beginning of S86 for Damian Steele @73MPL4R, Zlatan Ibrahimovic @Markusbg and the S88 1st of the Watchmen who became Mark Calaway @Beketov. 8-Montgomery Burns @LastOneUp - RW (S89) Montgomery Burns was the first overall pick of the Vasteras Iron Eagles in S89 and got traded at the trade deadline to the Cologne Express in company of Jack Quill @GoldGear88 and Mason Rice @Sawyer13. In 72 games with both teams, Burns scored 31 goals and added 34 assists for a total of 65 points. He also won the Renaissance Cup at the end of the season with Cologne, and he scored 8 points (4g, 4a) in 9 games during the playoffs. 7-Leandro Goncalves @leandrofg - C (S83) Leandro Goncalves was the first overall pick of the Vasteras Iron Eagles in S83. He played the entire season with the team and had 29 goals and 40 assists for a total of 69 points in 72 games. Goncalves finished the season with a differential of +18 and 162 hits. In the playoffs, he scored 8 points (4g, 4a) in 9 games, but the Iron Eagles lost in the final of the Renaissance Cup to the Bratislava Watchmen 4-1. Leandro ended up winning the Continental Cup in the VHL with the Calgary Wranglers in S87. 6-Velociraptor Greg @samx - D (S84) Velociraptor Greg was the first overall pick of the Cologne Express in S84. As a defenseman, Greg finished the season with 17 goals and 49 assists for a total of 66 points in 72 games. Velociraptor also added 63 hits and 147 shots blocked. In 6 games in the playoffs, Velociraptor Greg scored 2 goals and 6 points, but the Cologne Express lost in the first round of the playoffs. The last 4 players were really hard to rank, because they all had very similar career, and they could all interchange. 5-Darth Kaprizov @Darth Kaprizov - C (S80) Darth Kaprizov was the first overall pick of the Cologne Express in S80 and he was also the first player to ever be drafted in the VHLE. He scored 40 goals and 49 assists in 72 games for a total of 89 points. In S80, the Cologne Express were not a good team, and they did not make the playoffs, but he still finished second for the most points for the Express behind Nathaniel Minion @UnknownMinion who had 102 points. If it was difficult to rank the last 4 players, the next 5 players were easy to rank, since they all had pretty different career in the VHLE. 4-Hulk Hogan 2 @Hogan - C (S81) Hulk Hogan 2 was the first overall pick of the Istanbul Red Wolves in S81. Hogan 2 really had an incredible season with the Red Wolves as they finished first in the VHLE at the end of the regular season, and they won the King’s Cup. Hulk finished the season with 32 goals, 64 assists and a total of 96 points in 72 games. In the playoffs, Hulk Hogan 2 was even better as he scored 15 points (8g, 7a) in 15 games, but Istanbul lost in the first round of the playoffs. 3-John Jameson @Frank - C (S85) John Jameson was the first overall pick of the Oslo Storm in S85. Jameson was part of the beginning of the Storm’s domination between S85 and S88. Indeed, Oslo finished first in the regular season and in the playoffs to win the King’s Cup and the Renaissance Cup in the same year in S85. John also finished first in the league for the number of points with 103 (51g, 51a) to win the Ronan Lavelle Trophy who is awarded to the most valuable player of the regular season. He also added 8 points in 12 games in the playoffs. 2-Kronchy Kardashian @Garsh - D (87) Kronchy Kardashian was the first overall pick of the Yukon Rush in S87 and is also one of the best defensemen the VHLE ever saw. Indeed, he finished the season with 26 goals and 77 assists for a total of 103 points in 72 games. Kardashian also had 171 hits and 153 shots blocked that helped them won the Jake Thunder Trophy awarded to the best defenseman of the regular season. 1-BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10 – RW (S88) BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson was the first overall pick of the Rome Gladiators in S88 and the first overall pick to play more than one season in the VHLE.
