The S97 VHL Draft should be taking place sometime in the next week, potentially even this upcoming weekend. Ricky @DarkSpyro and Bubbles LaFleur are extremely excited to see which team(s) will be their forever homes. They have been training hard by smoking extra cigarettes a day for cardio, and drinking more liquor to work on their cores. The two brothers are still hovering around the top 10 list of prospects and it seems one team may have the best chance of drafting the two together. I do think the first five picks of the draft will go in order of current listed players: 1. London - (D) Hugh Neutron - 347 TPE 2. Moscow - (D) Kazuma Satou - 213 TPE 3. Helsinki - (RW) Cash Carti - 307 TPE 4. D.C. - (D) Taavetti Jokinen - 304 TPE 5. Prague - (D) Albin Aldgard - 296 TPE The only thing that confuses me is that Davos does not have a top 5 pick since Ahma is notoriously known to only player for Davos. Maybe Davos will make a trade for them in the future? Maybe Jokinen will drop to 5th overall since Prague is only a few borders on the map away? Now to the 6th overall pick, a strategy pick for the Los Angeles Stars. In order to make Ricky and Bubbles dreams come true this pick will be massive. If Los Angeles were to select Bubbles LaFleur at 6th overall, the next two teams to follow, London at 7th overall and Chicago at 8th overall, do not need a goaltender. Chicago does have S90 Ryan Artyomov closing in on retirement as well as no true future franchise goalie down their depth list. At 9th overall if Ricky LaFleur is passed on by these two teams, Los Angeles would be able to select him and unite the brothers for the long run. The best case scenario in my eyes is that neither Ricky or Bubbles are selected in the top 5. One is to be selected 6th overall to LA, and then the other is passed at 7th and 8th overall, in order to be selected 9th overall as well by LA. So will the Stars align? Or will there be future trades demanded by the brothers? We will know the truth soon enough but for now it's back to the cigarettes and liquor.

There's a new sheriff in town! @LucyXpher takes over as your new Malmo Nighthawks GM, and of course I decided to tag along. What is some advice you could give us as we are the newbies here. Are there any tips your player has for us? Any good restaurants around the area? 2. S96 has completed and the Vancouver Wolves are crowned Continental Cup Champions. With that being said, did you predict the Wolves to win it? If not, who did you see winning it instead? Personally I thought Moscow had a solid chance. 3. Long time Nighthawk Jacob Stone leaves the blue line and enters retirement with the completion of this season. It's sad to see a captain leave an organization, but at the same time we have already found a replacement. Lucy Leitner joins the team after a trade recently made with Riga. What are your thoughts on this trade? 4. Obviously after seeing a trade like that made, with half of our forwards getting ready for retirement, and with a passion for blood in the EU Conference, Malmo management is gunning for a Cup run this season! Are there any more moves you'd like to see made? Any specific players signed through Free Agency? Or are you confident in your GMs and want to see how we play the cards? 5. What has your player been doing to start the off-season? Are there off-season traditions you have? Do you go with the flow and do something new each year? Maybe you chill out once the season ends and travel for a while? 6. With the S97 draft coming up in close to a week from now, how did it feel for your player when you were drafted? For the Week Ending December 8th, here are your questions! 1. Christmas and the winter season is coming up sooner than you think! Already in the first week of December, how is your winter looking so far? Lots of snow? Already stressing about the holidays? 2. Now that your player has had some time off after being eliminated from the playoffs, what have they been up to lately? Training for next season already? Taking a vacation? Chilling and playing video games? 3. I just applied for a job and got it (in real life)! It’s nice having a solid income again and I think I’m going to like it. What has been your most favourite or least favourite job you’ve ever worked? 4. Houston being in the off-season means we have a lot of free time! The Bulls management wants to take you all to watch a different sporting event to take your minds away from Hockey. If you could choose to watch any other sport besides hockey, which sport would you be watching? I’d personally love to go watch a college football game! 5. Santa’s coming to town a little early this month, and he’s got an early Christmas present for you! If you could receive anything this Christmas what would you ask for? 6. As the season winds down and both leagues enter their final series of the playoffs, Ricky @DarkSpyro and Bubbles LaFleur booked the first flight back to the Sunnyvale Trailer Park after a disappointing 4-2 series loss to the Ottawa Lynx. Julian was nice enough to treat the boys to a bottle of liquor each, while Mr. Lahey and Randy made instant mean remarks to the boys. Randy never even saw a Founder’s Cup Finals when playing so the boys told the bottle kids to chuck bottles at Randy the next time they see him around. Ricky and Bubbles weren’t too happy after their second round exit but do know that after this season they’ll be able to lace of the skates again for San Diego before entering the world of the VHL. After these playoffs are over, the VHL will host a draft for the upcoming prospects of S97, Ricky and Bubs will be apart of it! The unfortunate reality is that the two “brothers” may have to part ways in the upcoming future, as neither will know which team they will land on. Ricky is the 5th rated prospect of this draft and Bubbles is the 7th rated prospect. The only two teams able to meet the boy’s wishes are the London United who hold 1st and 7th overall, and the Los Angeles Stars who hold 6th and 9th overall (lol). The boys are really hoping to play together for a full 8 seasons in the VHL after their next and last season in the VHLM, and while London or Los Angeles are possible destinations, we really don’t know if that will be in the picture and our wishes met. Bubbles will be extremely sad to not look back at his own end and watch Ricky taking his in game smoke breaks, he’s never been apart from Ricky so long except for the countless times he has been in jail. The boys are really shooting for the stars here and hoping to be drafted together to play for the same organization and prove Randy wrong, that he is indeed not the best hockey player of the Trailer Park.

Ricky and Bubbles LaFleur advance to their first ever VHLM playoffs 2nd round after defeating the Mexico City Kings 2-1 in today's sim! The series finished in a 4-2 duel, Mexico was a strong team but I wasn't surprised to see Ricky standing on his head like he has done for us all season. Through 6 games Ricky put up an impressive 0.920 SV%, only allowing 7 goals against, while also holding a 1.17 GAA! I've never been a huge goalie stat guy but I know for a fact that is really good stuff. Ricky showed up to a couple games hammered or stoned, so maybe the San Diego Marlins need to keep feeding this guy his fuel for the next round if we want some more success. If I'm not mistaken, the Marlins will next see either the two dominant Ottawa Lynx or Halifax 21st... both top tier teams currently in a 3-3 tied 1st round series. Halifax is Ricky and Bubbles' hometown, they played for the 21st last season, so to faceoff against them in the next round would be a treat for the boys. It would be sweet to play a couple games in Halifax and visit Julian at the park, while at the same time flip the bird to Randy who played for the Mexico City Kings in S85. The boys are buzzin' and excited to keep this playoff run rolling. The boys have their VHL draft coming up too with high hopes of being able to land on the same VHL roster and play full careers for one team. Either way, Ricky and Bubs have another season with the Marlins to play first, but obviously there will be a lot of excitement this off-season when draft day comes around. @DarkSpyro

For the Week Ending December 1st, here are your questions! 1. That is it that is all, Philadelphia sweeps us in the first round of playoffs to send the Bulls to the off-season. Even with a disappointing finish, what was your favourite part of this season? I had a lot of fun getting back into AGMing and hanging out with y'all! 2. What are your player's thoughts on their performance in these playoffs? 3. With the team now in off-season, what is the first thing your player is going to do? Relax? Start their golfing career? Spend time with family? 4. The Houston Bulls management has decided on an end of the season party for the team, one last moment to celebrate our time together before being separated for a while. You have to bring one item to this party, whether it be a game to play, a food dish to eat, a gift for your awesome GMs... etc, what item are you bringing? 5. It's getting cold outside where I live! Which also reminds me that it is a month until Christmas, one of my favourite holidays. Do you enjoy the Christmas season? What do you or your player do around Christmas? 6. Time for some rest and relaxation in the off-season, if your player could visit anywhere in the USA (taking a cheap domestic flight), where would they go? Surfing in California? Skiing in Aspen? At the time of writing this we are currently out of a playoff spot. What does missing the playoffs feel like to you? Do you take it hard or is the extra off-season time beneficial? 3. What are you focusing on currently for your player’s build? Which attributes are you upgrading? Offensively? Defensively? 4. The season isn’t over yet, but management is always focusing on the future while being in the present. What do you think your plans are for next season? Are you back in Houston? Are you heading to a different team? 5. Houston management feels like the team did a wonderful job this season all around, and so we’re taking you all out to celebrate! This season in the VHLM feels like a new record of lowest scoring from the entire league. One day of sims left and there is only one team with a 200+ GF, and no teams have cracked 200+ GA. The league just went through a massive transition changing the TPE cap to 400 TPE and my guess is that goalies are just the boss dogs this season. As the seasons roll on the VHLM will see much more balance between players and goaltenders I’m sure of it. This first season is just a sort of messy one to start, the league is still very competitive though! Thinking of this season being one for the record books, I was wondering if anyone here has records of their own? Small or large records, what do y’all got? The only record I know I hold is most short-handed VHLM playoff goals in a single season, with 3… I will hold this close to my heart and be crushed the day someone gets 4.

The Bulls have been battling to hold 1st in the Western Conference and we have been doing well at it! What has been the best part of our season so far? 2. With the wins we have found we still need to find some more goals, what's the best way to find more offensive production? 3. Houston leads the league in PIMs, does this mean that we are goons? The Houston Bulls are 5-4-1 to start their season, how do you feel the team is playing so far? 2. How do you feel your player is doing so far this season? 3. What are your current build plans for your player? Which attributes are you looking to upgrade? 4. Does you or your player like to play video games? If so, which video games do you enjoy the most? 5. Houston is known for their space exploration, discovery and achievements... If you could travel anywhere in the galaxy where would you go? I'm trusting Elon and heading to Mars. 6. What in your opinion is the best meal of your life? I extremely love a homemade dish called goulash (it's like hamburger helper) and I could eat it everyday of the week. To start the S96 VHLM regular season Houston may sit at the bottom of the standings, but there is one statistic we lead so far, PIMs! Through 4 games played Houston has tallied up 52 PIMs, with 2nd highest being the Saskatoon Wild at 38. So far Houston hasn't even seen a major penalty: Game 1: 5 minor penalties = 10 PIMs Game 2: 6 minor penalties = 12 PIMs Game 3: 8 minor penalties = 16 PIMs Game 4: 9 minor penalties = 18 PIMs (56 Total PIMs, 52 actual PIMs) With Houston's penalty stock only increasing each game, maybe Houston Management will have to tell our skaters to start hitting the refs in order to send a clear message... Either way, I feel like this isn't new for the Houston franchise, seeing the penalty box more than others, so I wanted to look back at the past 5 seasons and see where Houston ranked in penalty minutes amongst the rest of the VHLM. S96: 52 PIMs; 1st S95: 625 PIMs; 1st S94: 716 PIMs; 1st S93: 709 PIMs; 1st S92: 806 PIMs; 2nd... MIS: 816 So there you have it, in the past 5 seasons the city of Houston has turned into the backstreet bullies, maybe not in the same sense as being fighters, but we definitely love to be a man down for 2 minutes. Is this the team becoming frustrated with no Founder's Cup win in 25+ seasons? Is this the Simon refs starting to pick their favourite team to punish? Who knows. All I know is I'm getting tired of all the penalties this team is taking, and hopefully a change can start to happen soon.
