  1. yeah when the best forwards on team world are 3 forwards who have had wildly disappointing careers it's hard to get excited but also these forwards have the ability to be good. We will see.

    The E or M?

this is important tho. I'm a huge fan of players staying down because it helps with retention and helps with us M GMs putting a big team on the ice. Especially in seasons like this where we don't have huge drafts I would expect that nobody is going to take playing time away from first gens. Of course everyone should have the opportunity to play in the league they want to given the to are able to competitively which is why I'm kind of a fan of VHL expansion by two teams to allow the welfare and welfare+ type players to play a role on a team.
  3. patiently waiting for it to stop raining ever single day so I can record tour

  4. In order to shorten the time frame for you guys I have decided to record the tour then edit it into a shorter video. Because of this I will not be able to answer questions during the tour so I have this thread for you to ask your questions. the areas explored will be Historic St. Elmo, Northshore, MLK, Southside, and City Center.
  5. The upcoming season will be the first with the new draft rules, so what will happen this upcoming season? Well we will have a more competitive league. I believe we have already seen a preview of what will become normal in the minor league. We have seen the middle of the standings become closer and a change in how some GMs think. The players who have the biggest impact immediately are the people who you draft in the first two rounds meaning that since teams are forced to hold onto these difference makers means that some teams may find that they have some successful teams randomly. This also means the teams that are successful moving forward are the teams who develop their players successfully. Unfortunately this also means we will possibly see teams who will focus on picking up welfare only. I don't think this is the best move for player retention, but if a team wants to compete they can if they want. My prediction as a result to this change will be we will never see a team with fewer than 40 points unless they sell all other picks besides the required picks. I also believe we may never see a team with twenty points more then the 2nd place team. Standings will become close and playoffs will become even more exciting. The future for the M is exciting and I hope everyone else is excited!
  6. As the draft approaches I will need some help preparing. I am looking for a member who wants to go into GMing in the future. This is a great opportunity to learn and see the ropes around the VHLM. Job Requirements - Help with draft interviews - Help on draft day selecting players - Make sure Ben and myself don't make bad decisions I will teach you - How to approach trading - STHS lines - My scouting approach Please limit messages to applications, thank you!

@nurx I'm in the middle so. I also live kind of close to downtown, so probably wouldn't see any. It's probably on those roads leading down to other cities and things of such. There's also patches of forrests so maybe theres some there to.

yeah there aren't a lot of hills or anything that would really produce the caves over in the Murfreesboro/pulaski/Nashville areas @Keno

  11. bye another season of disappointing Chiang

  12. @Gaming Ringleaderalready played for Miami seems like a perfect time to join the push for the cup once more! You can sign with a team in the portal now! Excited to see you back
  13. I got a notification about this message broken forum
  14. Perfect Miami only has one defenseman so you would fit in with a pairing there. If we get any other waiver players I am more than happy to move you down assuming they are defensemen. Also I believe you do this through the waiver system now, but I imagine if you quote someone here you can get an invite to a team that way.
  15. Over the past year and a nickel, I have witnessed many first gens and the stories of these players. I have seen the most excited first gens fall off, I have seen people create then never be seen again, and I have seen players slowly build into a new member of the league. It has become my favorite part of being involved in the VHLM. The sight of seeing the newest member of our community find their footing in the league, and with this MS I want to tell the story of all the people who caught my eye as a first gen player during the tenure in Miami. @Shindigs - Truly the first Marauder when I was in management. It was always clear shindigs was going to be a major member of the league. I remember when shindigs joined the league they wanted to learn about STHS so much they went through every single sim Miami had and looked at every play BoJo was involved with. Is it possible shindigs still does this? I mean maybe, but it truly showed the dedication of a hardcore member, and his insights taught me more about STHS than any other single member ever did. @lidz - With the play Nicholas Blue, I remember lidz being a fairly inactive player their first season, but the second season in Miami was different. Nicholas Blue took being a welfare+ player to the max. They were the life blood of the Miami Marauders with a roster than in reality shouldn't have been a 3 seed. I do believe that as M GMs this is the type of player we can all be thriving to produce. A player that gets excited about their player and talks to their teammates. It is truly a shame that lidz has disappeared, but they truly were an exciting player in my eye and if they were to come back I would recommend any GM to take them any day because of how good of a person lidz is. @Sen - Another part of that Miami Marauders team that really shouldn't have been as good as it was. Sen was a player that was IA, but I messaged as a last ditch hope to get back into the league. Sen became a very active member of the Marauders locker room bringing life blood into a dead channel. They were a welfare with an occasional presser, but not enough to make them a welfare+ player. Sen was special though because of how friendly they are in locker rooms. It is rare you find someone in the league who is as nice as sen is on the internet. If you ever have the chance to bring Hockley Mann to your team I do recommend it. @D3X - Notorious sim league member. I remember draft night this season I was on the draft stream when a brand new member was talking in discord. Of course we began to talk this new member, but unfortunately because of timing with the draft they were unable to be drafted in the VHLM draft. This didn't stop them from joining the Marauders in waivers though. I do believe that D3X is the next big member to come out of Miami in terms of welfare/welfare+ guys. I do highly recommend giving him a look if you are a VHLE or VHL team because while they aren't active in Miami's locker room this season unfortunately not many people are. Word count: 575
