Oh SHIT!! You compared my players to that rat faced weasel. It’s ON!! . glad your back!!! @Thunder Can’t wait for you to get to the show
-
Thanks Pal! Now lets go win a few in Vancouver!!
-
1. I think it means some good things are coming to Vancouver. Mixed with the pieces we already have and some high earning newbies I am excited for what is in our future. 2. Vlad did for sure. Had to carry him home from Pub. 3. DB did great but Bratislava was hungry and had a chip on their shoulder after getting dominated by COL in the regular season. 4. Playing against someone you know and respect. I enjoy a good rivalry and some friendly shit talk 5. Effort beats talent ALWAYS! 6. Hmmmmm... @girts for sure but now we're teammates. Jake Thunder..... (If I could).. But my all time most wanted match would be my other player Brian Payne. Think Payne would take Ninefingers tho
-
That's awesome!!!!
-
I enjoyed Mistborn but didn't love it (Don't kill me Sanderson fans). I really loved The Way of Kings (Stormlight Archive #1) in comparison though.
-
I read to book 4. Loved the first one and thought they get progressively worse. Book 4 was a slog to get through for me. Some good portions but overall was tough. Don’t think we will ever see book 6-7 so might never finish book 5

Well, its officially the off-season for some while others still hunt for Cup glory. The VHLE season is over, the Pro-am is gearing up, and I try and slog my way through another Around the League in 500 words segment. NINEFINGERS WINS A CUP My player, Logan Ninefingers finally was able to hoist a Cup in the VHLE for the Bratislava Watchmen. Logan has been in three straight cup finals starting with his re-create season (S90) with the Miami Maurauders where he lost the Cup in game 7. His next full season in the VHLM was with the Philadelphia Phantoms where he not only enjoyed a 64 goal season but his club made it to the Cup finals once again, only to lose again. Finally, this season despite only decent offensive output he was able to fill a role and win the Renaissance Cup! He will take it! Ninefingers had a great time with Bratislava with an active LR and some fun players. He learned one fact in Bratislava too…. That he wants to win more cups!! What’s next? Logan is preparing his bags for the long flight to his hometown of Seattle to see family and friends for a short time before making the 2-hour drive north to Vancouver. Ninefingers told friends that he wants to get to Vancouver early along with Riley Martin @Smarch, Guntis Gavilrovs @Girts, and fellow Watchmen teammate Vlad Von Carstein @Dom to start hitting the gym to get ready for the show. It is rumored that he has buried the hatchet with VHLE rival and monster of a Dman, Gavilrovs. It was scary enough to see these two play against each other, we can only imagine how scary it will be now that they play together and like each other. These four rookies join a Vancouver club with some hungry young talent and one of the best defensemen in the league in Liv Slater @Subject056 and a unshakable goalie in Dalkr Vidarsson @KaleebtheMighty. HELSINKI DEFENSIVE TRIBUTE Helsinki has come out to a 3-1 lead over a very tough London club. London has a scary as hell offense so the fact that the Titans have been able to stop them defensively is a remarkable achievement. Must give tons of credit to their defensive core and most notably my former teammate, Pierre Emile Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito. PEB is 5th in scoring with 18 points and has blocked 28 shots. This is PEB final season, and he’s had a great career. Not only an award-winning player but a great locker room asset to any team. Next in line is my favorite Kardashian, Kronchy @Garsh. KK is shot blocking beast (34) and despite his small size he plays a mean game. YaBoi Oven @Doomsday, the first overall pick in S90 can also do it all. He’s been rock steady all season, hitting, fighting, and scoring. He has shutdown talent that can lead the PP. I anticipate lots of individual trophies in his future. Not to be overlooked on defense either is the bone crushing hitter Tommy Sleeves @dasboot. Sleeves is a monster defensive defenseman that tips the scales at 250lbs. He leads the playoff in hits (51) and has been great this playoff at shutting down opposing teams’ offense with little or no fanfare. He shows up every night and plays a hard game for his team. Best of Luck Helsinki

Its OFFICIAL!!! The Bratislava Watchmen have officially won the Renaissance Cup. In a highly anticipated Cup Final versus the regular season’s best record holder, the Cologne Express. The Watchmen struggled all season against them and must have lit some fire in the very balanced club this offseason. They defeated the Express in four straight games, never taking their foot off the gas. Potential playoff candidate, Karol Lamb @dlamb showed how versatile he is ending up tying for lead the playoffs in points with 15. He did EVERYTHING, handling the back end defensively and punishing with his offensive upside showing why Chicago picked him 8thoverall last draft. Forward Eno Velvson @Nykonaxalso lit it up tying Lamb for playoff leader in points (15). In net, Pip Popa @npuBeT dominated the offseason, only losing one game with a 1.78 GAA and 1 shutout showing he is also deserving of some offseason trophies. Congrats to all Watchmen, past and present for a deserving championship. And congrats to @roryRory for putting together such a fun club.

Crashing your PC 1. I really think that writing an original post is really not that hard and using AI is a waste of time. The PT are not complicated (graphics excluded). 2. So I will admit I am clueless to graphics in general. Tried making one on Pixlr and it was so shitty I quit and never went back. Not familiar with AI and graphics but I am sure it can be cheated easily. 3. Tough question. In real life when composing a letter or something you want to word smith well, possibly. I usually knock out my media spot and VHL article on Saturdays and it takes me maybe 30 minutes. here in VHL I don't think using it is necessary or relevant. 4. I am not familiar with punishments but I am sure they were fair. 5. No, I have never had the need to. My wife (a doctor) uses it for charting notes between patients and says its helpful there but I have no need for it yet. 6. It scares me a bit. I am a huge reader and think that AI could really cost writers their employment in the future. Technology comes with a price like we've seen with social media to the point now phones control most peoples lives. AI could contribute to that in negative ways. Time will tell

Well peeps, I just got back from visiting a friend in Dallas Texas and have about zero motivation to write an “Around the League” article. But I will attempt to power through for that delicious TPE I need so very much. I haven’t been paying much attention to the other leagues seeing that I am in VHLE playoffs currently but did some surfing today. On a side note, I looked at my profile on forum today and saw that I joined on November 22, 2001! It’s crazy to me that I have been in the league that long and I am only on my second player. It certainly doesn’t feel like it and it’s a tribute to how much fun this league can be that the time just flies by. VHLE Playoffs The E is in full swing with only 4 clubs in the playoffs after some teams were cut. Bratislava and Cologne are up 3-1 on their respective opponents. It is a grind only having one game a day, but it is what it is. Looking at the stats I’d say the real MVPs of the playoffs so far are Bratislava goalie Pipo Papa @npuBeT who has a sick 1.75 GAA, .947GAA and only allowed 7 goals in 4 games. Just behind Pipo is Cologne goalie Clark @cl4rk who is 3-0-1 with a 1.82 GAA with only 8 goals allowed. AND!!!! How about a shoutout to Stockholm goalie Girogiy Constanzov @Mongoose87 with 6 PIMS! Stay out of his crease! Game 5 is up for tomorrow and you can’t count out Stockholm or Rome just yet. Both teams are relentless and as we’ve seen before, anything can happen. RIP WHEELER UPDATE Now I normally like to trash on Rip, @ScottyP just because. But, he is absolutely on fire in his short playoffs so far. The Calgary winger is #4 in overall scoring, and he’s only played two games. 4 goals in 2 games with 3 coming on the power play. Calgary must be pleased seeing the young winger gaining some confidence. A look in on his TPE earning he has been hit or miss but did put in some work to get over 800 TPE. I can’t wait until Logan Ninefingers gets to the show though Rip! The Calgary vs Vancouver rivalry will be that much better. LA vs DC Earlier this year I predicted the Los Angeles Stars to win the Cup. An extremely talented club with a great goalie, powerful offense, and a good defensive core. I went back and forth with Calgary and LA being the best of clubs and totally overlooked the D.C Dragons. D.C finished the regular season with the most goals scored in the NA conference. The possess a great goalie in Henry Tucker, and elite defenseman in Mark Calaway, and a front end full of capable scorers. D.C currently holds a 2-0 lead on the LA Stars and have held the Stars to 1 goal in those two games. I can’t believe I slept on this club because looking at the roster they could spell trouble for any team they face. Have a great week everyone!

The playoffs have begun and for those sitting out the dreaded off season begins. For those still fighting for Cup dreams each day brings joy or pain when the box scores drop. For me in the E we only have one game a day, and its PAINFUL!!!! I guess if there were two games, we’d be done much earlier than the M or VHL, but not sure if that would matter much. The current standings In the VHLE playoffs shows the two favorites, Bratislava and Cologne leading their series’ 3-1. Bratislava ended the regular season hot and have kept their foot on the gas against a deadly Stockholm club. Led by Eno Velvson (4-4=8), Karol Lamb @dlamb(2-5=7) and Pipo Papa @npuBeTthey hope to close it out tomorrow. They can’t look past this Stockholm club though. Likewise, Cologne hopes to close out a relentless Rome club that has no quit in them. Cologne has relied on scoring stud Theo Alard (4-5=9) @InstantRockstar, Adi Dassler @BOOM, and George Richmond @badcolethetitan. They have a deep roster and can score quickly and often if given the chance. I predict they close it out tomorrow and will await the winner of Bratislava – Stockholm.

Congrats @Subject056. Awesome job pal!

1. Yes, and he finishes with 39 total- forever to hold the record as a Vancouver Wolf! Great season for him. Love to see defensive players flourish. 2. yes for sure. I don't follow the players in VHL as much now that Im in the E but yes. what an improvement. 3. Dalkr is a BEAST! To put those numbers up on a re-building club speak to some great days ahead for him and the Wolves. With some TPE earning for next few seasons I expect him to be a top goalie in the league. 4. It's always tough to re-build. Ive been on a team that was rebuilding and it was a bit of a drag to stay motivated. This club is different though and the team seems ready and willing to take the hits knowing that the future is bright. 5. The Valiq for sure! Although he has some stiff competition with Stone, Callway,, and PEB. Id argue Labatte as well due to blocked shots, hits, points and considering he's not on a playoff contender team. 6. Well.....like me, he is bald

Another week closer to the playoffs and another week of Around the League in 500 words (or so). Want to chat about the Philly Reapers and Vancouver’s future, which is super bright. ITS SUNNY IN PHILLY I was dinking around in the forum and looking at VHLM stats. I wasn’t shocked to see the Philadelphia Reapers to be doing well but had no idea they would be the first club to 100 points. At 48-12-4 they are leaps and bounds ahead of the other clubs and have scored 247 goals already in 64 games. I’ll start with their goaltending which has been superb. Jorgen Lovstrom @Pifferfish has been lights out with a 42-6-4 record. A 2.33 GAA and 2 shutouts he stopped 1531 shots this season and never seems to take a night off. On the scoring front they are led by Yermolai Nabokov @fonziGG has 42-52=94 pts and added 105 hits. I expect YN to be deadly come playoff time and a high draft pick in the E and VHL. After YN, they have Taylor Swift @lilchrist 31-47=78pts, Walter Jinn @Adrest245 30-42=72pts, Xiver Jinn @inflastud 24-27=51pts, and beaubeau primetime @Bobo26-40=66pts. On defense, Enn Jinn @jhatty8 is the ultimate quarterback on the back end. AT 602 250 he can move opponents easily and has soft hands as well notching 19 goals 58 assists for 77pts. 7 power play goals as well he will be pivotal come playoff time. Rounding out the rest of the defense is another Jinn, Magni Jinn @DontCallMeCarson 12-56-68 and Pinn Jinn @Eagle Eye 11-34-45pts. @Lemorse7 has done a great job two years in a row putting together championship caliber teams. Best of luck! VANCOUVER’S PACK LOOKS DEADLY Vancouver is known for its winning ways and based on their prospect pool they don’t want to wait long. The last draft showed the Wolves pick a bevy of first rounders that all are set to arrive next season. Add them to the list of young talent they currently have with players like Liv Slater @Subject056who is knocking on the goals scored in a season by defense record and goalie Dalkr Vidarsson @KaleebtheMighty who has 5 shutouts this season and faced 2300 shots on a rebuilding team the future is looking good. Let’s take a look in a few of the prospects set to make the club: Riley Martin @Smarch(Stockholm) RW- RM arrived in Stockholm with a point to prove after being stuck on a dismal club in the VHLM. 86 points in 66 games he’s currently #2 in overall scoring. He hits, passes, and scores. Not sure what else you can ask of him and he will continue to be dangerous in the VHL. Guntis Gavilrovs @Girts(Stockholm) D- This Behemoth of a dman stands 608 250 which makes him the Jack Reacher of the VHLE right now. And like Reacher he plays the game with a big bag of knuckles, leading the league in PIMs 180 and hits 275. However, don’t let his size and grit make you think he’s not offensively skilled. He’s racked up 31 goals this season and 55 assists (86). He’s currently #8 in overall scoring. Logan Ninefingers (Bratislava/Oslo) RW- Logan started his season off with the re-building Oslo Storm and was traded to 2nd place Bratislava at the TDL. Ninefingers currently sits #9 in overall scoring with 71 points (30g-41a) and has 98 PIM (#4) and 209 hits (#2). Vlad Von Carstein @Dom(Bratislava) D- The #6 overall pick in last year’s draft here is another giant of a human. 608 240 its exciting and scary think what a Guntis and VVC defensive pairing looks like. VVC has been deadly this season at almost a point of game pace. 13g (7 on PP) 51a for 64 points. 156 blocked shots show he does the little things for his team to win each night. It’s entirely possible that Bratislava will face Stockholm in the playoffs so these future teammates will be at odds for just a bit longer. But all 4 are hungry to become Wolves and show their GM @Frank that he was wise to choose this group of animals. 688

For my VHL article this week I thought I’d talk about my only recruit left in the league, Calgary’s Rip Wheeler @ScottyP. Now, Rip prided himself a killer when he entered the league. He actually said, “I’ll be the next Eric Lindros.” So, Rip came out a low scoring hitter notching 325 hits in S90. But he did a complete 180 and turned old Rip into a solid contributor for the first place Calgary team. He is second on the team in overall scoring with 67 points, third in goals scored with 28, 81 PIMs, and 126 hits. He has upped his BC because he felt like a pansy last season, but he is still notching some points at a time when Calgary is about to enter a tough playoff in their quest for the Cup. I am excited to see that he has done some point tasks and not welfare and is almost 800 TPE. What excites me more is next season my player gets to face off against him and hopefully provide him with a season ending injury of some sort. Good Job Rip

Pierre-Marc Bouchard - Scouting Report
Scurvy replied to Gaikoku-hito's topic in Prospect Scouting Report
bad ass! Hopefully PMB and Ninefingers can play together some day! -
1. Up my OV and DC with my banked points. 2. The Frenchman seems to have that locked down 3. Art Vandalay Is my pick with LA. They are a tough team and I think will go on an impressive run to end the season. ' 4. LA. They have all the tools and I think the mere presence of Rip Wheeler @ScottyP will force a good Calgary team to falter in the remaining games. LOL 5. Going out on a limb here and gonna say Moscow will win the division. They are streaky and get hot. I think they have another run and pass up Malmo 6. Prague . Prague has some real studs on offense and a great goalie in Murdock. I think they make huge upsets in playoffs and win the cup against LA in 6 games. Jameson MVP

Love it. Thank you. -
The trade deadline came, and we saw Oslo’s right winger, Logan Ninfingers traded to the 2ndplace, Bratislava Watchmen. The Watchmen trail the league leading Cologne Express by 20 points in the standings so they are hoping that Ningfingers can assist offensively to narrow that gap and try and crush them come playoff time. Ninefingers brings some size and offensive instincts to a Bratislava club that is loaded with good forwards. So far, it seems Ninefingers has had some early struggles putting the puck in and getting comfortable. He just scored his first goal for the club so hopefully he’s worked the new team nervousness off and can start producing. Ninefingers likes to shoot early and often so he needs to keep that mindset, grip the stick a little lighter, and keep working and it will all work out. In his first six games he has 1 goal 2 assists and 19 hits.

Theme week is upon us and that means my player, Logan Ninefingers gets some much-needed TPE before the jump to the show. I wanted to talk about the All-Stars that populated the league when my first gen player, Brian Payne joined the league. It was at a time when Payne was in his rookie season, and I watched the vets with super high TPE light up the box scores night in and night out. So for this theme I thought I’d try to make the perfect all-star team for S83. CENTER: At the center position there were some beauties lighting up the league. I am not sure if this was the meta change or not but there were some huge numbers being put up. My first pick at center for this season would be Calgary’s Saku Kotkakoivu @DollarAndADream. He had 59g 63a= 122points leading the league and was point leader. In later seasons his production dipped a bit but still was a beast scoring 678 points in 574 games. Pick two would have to go to Paul Atreidas @Mr_Hatter from Toronto. 61goals 59assists= 120 points. The first overall pick in S77. While small he was never short on numbers. He loved to shoot the puck and amassed an amazing 3600 shots in his career. In S83 he helped lead Moscow to a dominant season Right Wing: The pick for right wing was equally hard but would have to go with Alex Johnston @Alexfrom Riga. Alongside fellow right wing Anze Miklavz he scored 58g 55a=113. Big and gritty AJ could hit, pass, and score so while the league was stacked with great wingers, I had to go with him. Honorable mentions at RW: Duncan Idaho @OrbitingDeath Vasile Lamb @dlamb Anze Miklavz @ke1vi Left Wing: For left wing I had to go with the #2 overall pick int eh S77 draft, Reylynn Reinhart @Ricer13. RR’s point totals really jumped In the latter part of the career. A 56 goal scorer in S82, in S83 RR scored 45g 54a for 99 pts. RR could hit too and had size to score those ugly goals. An easy pick for S83 all-star. Honorable mentions: Kyle Peace (Tor) @Peace Zach Kisslinger II @Kisslinger Brendan Marner @MetalToday Defense: Ok now for my favorite position and there are some serious legends that played that season to include two that scored over 30 goals and weren’t even the point leaders. While I think that the top ten-point leaders on defense could easily be on this list I picked Jerome Reinhart @MexicanCow123. He scored a crazy 35goals and 69 assists (104). Now he was a minus 15 that season on a New York team that didn’t make the playoffs. I think this makes this pick for an all-star in that even on a struggling club he put up some amazing numbers. To pair with JR I picked Riga’s monster Dman, Battre Sandstrom @Acydburn. The Sterling Labatte Trophy winner that seasons he scored 28 goals 76 assists for 104 points. 17 of his 28 goals came on the power play and he added 256 hits and 129 blocked shots showing just why he won the trophy for best defenseman. Honorable mention: Aurelien Moreau (TOR) @Frank Point leader that season. Hard Markinson (MOS) @STZ Tom Eagles (LDN) @Greg_Di Hari Singh Nalwa (WAR) @Dil Bo Johansson (Rookie) @Shindigs Goalie: Again, some great goalies to pick from by was easily Xavier Booberry @CowboyinAmerica. XB went OFF this season with 40 wins 18 losses with a league leading 1.92 GAA and 10 shutouts! Yes, 10! In S83 he won the Brett Slobodzian, Aidan Shaw Trophy, and Greg Clegane Trophy. Honorable Mentions: Tobias Reinhart @Spaz Em Em Flex @oilmandan Oskar Lindbergh @Doomsday Brandt Fuhr @Tate 610

1. Not sure yet. Probably some nonsense about my player being a future all star 2. Christmas 3. Ninefingers is my second player. Brian Payne was first player. 4. I like watching my player grow and get better. 5. Black (Vancouver colors) 6. hockey

Thank you @dlamb Always love playing for ya. Best of luck

You can HAD?????????? learn some English before talking shit... Its ON when Ninefingers gets to the show.. So be patient and wait for your ass beating Lady Bing
