  2. You're right ! Drink bourbon! its healthier for you.. Best of luck in Oslo!
  3. Great article. Lets go USA
  4. Review: Great article and love that you included a picture. Love your welcoming and included some stuff about your time in VHLM. Love the history you put in about Halifax which shows you either know a lot of stuff or did some research prior to writing the article. I liked how you weaved the historical facts into the story . The article is amazing but what truly impresses me is your level of commitment to the Victory Hockey League after just one season, and it shows in your writing. You have built an impressive player and are now that you are a GM speaks so well to the future of the league. 10/10.
  5. Oh hell yeah!! Bad ass pal.
  6. Great bio! Best of luck!
  7. Crashing y'alls PC 1. I would say get over the intimidation that you feel early in the league. Ask questions and earn TPE early to get the hang of it. 2. Well, Id say Henry Eagles. He's a stud and would be a great addition to the studs already on the CGY Roster 3. Trade Rip Wheeler @ScottyPfor a used puck bag. haha. Nah, I think CGY loss was flukey. You had the better club for sure. I think a maybe some depth pieces might help but your stars are already beasts. 4. I do. I think the draft is one of the most fun times in the VHL. Like to see who is who, especially the first gens 5. I'd have to say Arizona is just a mess. Despite re-tooling from their inception they can never seem to be better than shitty. Ive been to games in AZ to watch them and I just down think they have a future in Arizona. The MapleLeafs disappoint me too. Despite having the most expensive top 4 in the league they never seem to put it together in playoffs. 6. Attending two Memorial Cups
  8. I logged into the draft tonight and really enjoyed the coverage. There were some good interviews, draft insight, and some interesting conversations about players available. It was clear that the moderators had done their homework, and it was fun to watch. I was happy that several first gens were drafted early. My club, the Vancouver Wolves held the number 4 pick in the draft so I was anxious to see who they were interested in drafting. @Frank ended up drafting speedy right winger Annie Oakes @Noodle Enjoyer. Annie spent her last season in Saskatoon and had a great offensive season with 31 goals 33 assists 64points. Oakes is deadly on the power play, can help on the PK, and doesn’t hurt the club defensively. This was a great pick up for a quickly re-building Wolves club that is young and hungry. So WELCOME to the pack Annie, we look forward to a great future with you. 155
  9. Maybe someday I'll apply.
  10. Another week closer to Season 93 and there are some happenings going on. Pro-Am is in full swing, draft is upon us, some teams making some moves, and a look in on Thunder and Rip. TRADES I honestly having been paying much attention this week but did see some notable trades worth talking about. Now, I will preface this with I am not a GM and have no idea about cap space and/or reasons for trades. I am simply a casual observer. Helskinki-Moscow On March 3 we saw potential rookie of the year candidate Grimgor Ironhide and a 2nd round pick go to Moscow for Adi Dassler and a 3rd. Both players are phenomenal, and I feel that Dassler will flourish well with Dixon and Lazaro. For Moscow they receive a big bruising checker and proven scorer in Ironhide. He will slot nicely into a deadly and young lineup. Moscow looks to be deadly for years to come. What I question in this trade is the draft picks? Dassler and Ironhide both are high TPE earners, and both are going to be all-star level players for their respective clubs but why the differences in picks? Moscow gets a higher TPE player and a higher pick? That is some Las Vegas Knight level negotiation or is there something I just don’t know about trades or VHL GMin (probably the case). Like I said, not a GM and have no idea how this shit works, Just curious. Moscow-Vancouver In another Moscow trade they sent star forward Left Alone @okochastar to the Wolves for a 2nd round pick. This is a great trade for Vancouver to acquire a 94-point scorer to give some much needed mentorship to a young forward core. Moscow gets a good pick in a deep draft to add to their pool of deadly prospects. In a separate trade, Vancouver added Sunglasses Joyo @JetsGoalie101 and hard-hitting Larry Abass Jr @RileyLRiley. With the draft and free agency starting up It will be exciting to see where people land. Bollos de Trueno With my buddy @Thunder coming back after a short break it has me excited. He opted for another defenseman so it will be interesting to see which one turns out to be better. Although, Jake Thunder will be some big shoes to fill. But with that being said, Thunder is a high earner and currently sits at 137 TPE going into the dispersal draft in a few days. Teams would be smart not to sleep on this pick. I look forward to when he gets to VHL so the rivalry with Ninefingers can begin. Now to check in on my other buddy, Rip Wheeler @ScottyP. He had a pretty good season with 29-41=70 points. Calgary has some beasts with Oreo McFleury and Randy Bobandy up front and Skor McFleury and Phil Strasmore in back so I am hoping Rip earning to help Calgary continue their winning ways. I especially am excited now since my player is in the VHL and in same division. A Calgary vs Vancouver rivalry will be even more delicious if I can smack him around for a season or two.
  11. Logan Ninefingers #32 Vancouver Wolves S93 Rookie Experience Logan Ninefinger’s path to the VHL has set a stage that he hopes to continue. A free agent signing by Miami in his re-create season he helped the club make a Cup final where they lost in 7 games. Then, after going 5th overall in the VHLM draft to the Philadelphia Reapers he hit the ground running. Scoring 64 goals, he helped the Reapers to a Founders Cup final where they lost in heartbreaking fashion. Two season, two finals, both losses. Next, after being drafted 1st overall to Vancouver and 6th overall to VHLE Oslo Storm young Logan found himself on a re-building club. This was a great experience as he had to battle against better talent and still held his own against Europe’s best. At the trade deadline he was dealt to the Bratislava Watchmen which was full of hungry talent. Here is where Logan learned to take a different role than scorer and became a 200-foot player, focusing on defense more and more. The club was rewarded with a trip to the Cup final against the hated and deadly Cologne Express. The Watchmen swept them eventually giving Ninefingers his first taste of a Cup, but not the last. Ninefingers learned one thing after reaching the finals for three straight years, he loves winning and will do whatever it takes for his club to win. Logan cares little of personal stats and would love to see multiple Cup wins during his career in the VHL. Now that he has left for Vancouver he finds himself on a storied Vancouver club where winning is expected. The S93 Wolves will have a string of hungry rookies like VHLE phenom Riley Martin, Guntis Gavrilrovs, DB IV, and Vlad Von Carstein. In addition, GM @Frank has been working the phones trying to put some veteran talent such as Left Alone, Larry Abass Jr, and Sunglasses Joyo around to mentor the rookies to winning sooner rather than later. Add these to the existing roster of greats like Liv Slater, Ben Dover, and goalie Dalkr Vidarsson the future is looking very bright in Vancouver. Logan knows that the competition level for next season will increase but he has the work ethic and ability to compete. Logan has said he will do whatever the team wants for them to be successful and challenge for that elusive Continental Cup for years to come.
  12. Congrats !!!! Best of Luck

  17. 1. Ninefingers had fun in the VHLE. Started on Oslo for most the season which was rebuilding. Stats were ok but team suffered. Traded to Bratislava and opposite occurred. Stats were down but team won and eventually won the CUP. Ill take poor stats and a Cup anyway. 3. I was happy for them. They earned it for sure. I had London winning the whole thing. 4. If Antonia is available I would take her as a center to build around. Think Jean Devote is next and possibly a hidden gem. 6. Antonia I believe. High earner and a center which is needed by most clubs. 8. I think Vancouver and Moscow will be buyers. Have a great rookie core and can move some pieces to help with Cap later potentially. I think both clubs want to win now. 10. Tet is a great GM. I had him in Miami and he cares about this league and mentored younger players very well. A true asset to the league and Prague should be proud to have him. 11. March Madness..... and Spring
  18. I’m not quite sure he’s ready to throw his name away. Let’s see what happens when he has to lead a team then decide. He’s still a soft ass load of shite.
  19. It’s officially the off-season. A time when all of us without league responsibilities dread but a time that management savors to get a much-needed break to gear up for another season. We do have the Junior showcase I believe and the Pro-AM is starting up which is fun time consumer until we start another season. It does get harder to write some stuff as the off-season drags but for today I wanna chat about the Continental Cup Finals, an idea for debate, and the promotion of a great GM. DC WINS IN GAME 7 I have to say this was an exciting series to see unfold. 7 games that boasted 3 shutouts and a game 7 that went into overtime. You can’t ask for a better cup final and it's tough that one of these two great clubs had to lose. DC went on to win with their standout forward, The Frenchman @OrbitingDeath sniped a shot past Jesse Teno at 10:01 in OT. The real heroes of this series were the goalies. In game 7 Jesse Teno @aimkin stopped 44 of 47 shots and DCD’s Henry Tucker @NSG stopped 51 of 53 shots. The game even had a spirited center ice fight featuring DC’s Jason @Jason kranz and London center, Sjin @Sjin showing both clubs were holding nothing back to win. A huge shoutout to London’s offensive machines in Leonard Triller @Triller, Molly the Cat @JCarson, and Wann Kerr @VattghernCZ who were all in the top four for playoff scoring. They left it all on the ice and can hang their heads high after a tough loss. Anyway, Congrats to both clubs for making it fun and special congrats to DC and GM @FrostBeard and LDN GM @jacobcarson877 for an exciting Continental Cup! FREE OFF SEASON TPE? I know I can speak for a lot of people who try to max out TPE every week. Whether you do graphics, podcasts, or media spots it can be a grind some weeks. Now, I should preface this with the fact I have NO graphic skills whatsoever. I have tried on some free apps like Pixlr and I am LOST! Everything I have tried looks like shit. So? Like I said above the offseason is a great break for management. They do a lot of stuff behind the scenes and its nice for them to re-charge the batteries a bit. That being said should players get a little break from the 6 TPE media spot, graphic, or podcast in the off-season? Should there be a 5 TPE welfare button just for that time to give a rest from the long TPE boost? I still think press conference, VHL article, and trivia should still be earned but should we get a breather and some nice off season TPE for the long one? Thoughts? Could it help with retention? Help teams with players missing playoffs remain interested? Anyway, don’t really care that much curious. TET JOINS PRAGUE I wanted to give a shoutout and congrats to @Tetricide for his promotion as new GM in Prague. I had the good fortune to join the Miami Marauders on my re-create season. Although it was a short season I ended up in the Founders Cup final with a very fun Miami club. While this was my second time through the VHLM I was impressed with Tet’s commitment to the newer players, his willingness to teach them the nuances of the VHL, forum, and TPE earning, and his availability to his players. Tet obviously has a commitment to the VHL and is a great ambassador of the league. Prague is lucky to have you and I wish you success. 611
  20. Congrats Dragons!
  21. Congrats @Tetricide. You will make Prague proud. I just hope you lose every game to Vancouver though!
  22. Last week started like many others for me. Wake up, check VHL forum for that red notification in the top right, catch up on discord for VHL chats and the begin my day of feeding dogs, getting daughter off to school, and going to work. However, last week I was blessed (and cursed) with a red notification ping for an article writing by real life friend and VHL rival @Thunder. For those that don’t know Thunder had a hall of fame career with defenseman, Jake Thunder. But during his final season he stepped away (like a bitch) and was constantly bombarded with texts from me about when he would return. I had almost given up hope when I read his poorly crafted article comparing my current player, Logan Ninefingers, to his favorite player (and my most hated) Brad Marchand. Despite being the brunt the article I was excited that Thunder is back in the league with another defender. He is a huge asset to any team he is on and great for the league as whole. Plus, we can both agree it gives us something to write about each week for TPE. Anyway, WELCOME BACK THUNDER, I look forward to facing off against you in the show and/or playing on the same club someday.
