  1. @TxtBammer You have to quote the team you want to join and reply with the hashtag haha, you can't join more then one team.
  2. Hello @Ezzzer and welcome to the VHL! I'm coleh, the Mexico City Kings GM in the VHLM and we'd love to have your player join our team! Here in Mexico City, we're looking to create an active locker room, and a place where everyone can enjoy the experience together. Mexico City is gearing up for a potentially playoff run, and we could really use your help. I think together, you can help our team go far in the playoffs, and be a huge force to be reckoned with during the season! We are willing to offer you 2nd line minutes with time on the penalty kill and the powerplay! You also will have the chance to work your way up on the lineup if you show you're active and are willing to buy into the system here we have in Mexico. If this this offer is interesting to you, and you would like to join the Mexico City Kings this season, please quote this message with #HAILTOTHEKING and we'll send you a contract right away! Thanks and I hope you have a great time in the VHL!

  4. 1. I think there is a very small chance that we could catch Helsinki, but most likely we are going to be taking on Riga in the wildcard game. The point gap I feel like is a bit too much to catch at this point in the season. 2. I didn't follow the All-Star Game festivities, but congrats to @dasboot for bringing home All-Star MVP! 3. I think it'll make their better for sure, but how much better I don't know. Realistically, it'll probably be able to make them contend with us, but I don't know if they can crack top three. 4. Us. I think we were expected to be a bottom of the pack team and we've ended up sneaking into a playoff spot. I expected us to honestly be fighting with London for the last playoff spot, but we have pulled ahead for the time being. 5. I feel like the trade was pretty one-sided for the Flames. They ended up getting Huberdeau, Weegar, a prospect, and a 1st for Tkachuk which to me seems like too much. Only time will tell. 6. I eat rice with a fork usually, but I've had it with chopsticks.
  5. I’m super glad I got to help you with your journey in the VHL! Reading type of stuff about people praising me is always crazy, because you don’t know how much you’ve impacted a players time here. Thanks for all the kind words, I appreciate it. Let’s go win the VHLM now, shall we?
  6. One day I will return!
  7. Siyan Yasilievich - The Rookie Experience The Rookie Experience Siyan made his debut against the Malmo Nighthawks in the VHL. It didn't take very long for Siyan to realize that this league was miles ahead of the VHLE and VHLM, and he had a long way to go before he would be considered one of the best defenseman. Being drafted to Davos, a rebuilding franchise, Siyan knew immediately that he wouldn't be putting up insane numbers, or that the team wouldn't be a top tier team. Once the season progressed, Siyan was struggling in the VHL, failing to put up any points and just overall being a liability. Multiple players in his draft class were already starting to pull ahead of him in the point race, and it looked like Siyan was starting to fall behind. However, one thing to keep in mind is that most of the players that are ahead of him in points are on better teams, therefore playing with better players, making them look better. Regardless though, Siyan was struggling and needed to find a way to get something going. Siyan would get slotted onto the second pairing to try to help him regain his game, but all that did was make him worse. Siyan currently at the moment has played 40 games, putting up 3 goals and 11 assists in that span, with a -7. Siyan went from dominating the VHLM and the VHLE, being one of the best every season, to now being at the bottom of the league and struggling to find success. However, Siyan hasn't been known to immediately start putting up huge numbers for the teams he's been on, it's taken him about half a season to get going, so maybe it'll take him a season in the VHL for him to make an impact. However, Davos this season has shown improvement, to now sitting at 22-16-2, good for 5th in their conference. Despite Siyan struggling, Davos has been making strides and has gotten better throughout the season, which is a good sign. Siyan will have to keep up with the team's improvement though, or he might get left behind. Next season, Siyan will be able to start to talk about an extension, so we'll see what his plans are. Overall, Siyan has found that he has to find new ways to up his game in the VHL, or he might find himself becoming a huge bust for Davos, and unfortunately find himself with less ice time. 407 Words not counting headers
  8. Theme Week: VHL at 15 There are a lot of great topics to potentially talk about for VHL at 15, but I'm going to talk about my experience in the VHLE. I have heard a bunch of horror stories about the E, but I thought I should shine some positivity on my experience when I was in the E last season! The VHLE Draft It was S83, which was my draft year for the VHL and the VHLE, and I was already selected by HC Davos Dynamo 4th overall. Heading into the VHLE Draft, I knew I was going to go most likely in the first round, as I wasn't high enough TPE to start in the VHL. I was reached out by a few teams in the E, those being: The Istanbul Red Wolves, Bratislava Watchmen, and the Geneva Rush. However, one interview in particular stood out to me and that was the interview with @KaleebtheMighty, the General Manager for the Istanbul Red Wolves. I knew immediately after talking to Kaleeb for a bit, that I wanted to play for Istanbul, and my dream came true when I was selected 4th overall to the Istanbul Red Wolves! I was super excited to be with the team and I honestly had pretty low expectations for the E, but I was ready to get it started! The VHLE Regular Season and Meeting New People I don't honestly remember much about the beginning of the regular season record wise, I know we were at the top of the table I believe, but we weren't an amazing team. However, we had an amazing locker room, one that I honestly don't know if it'll be topped, it hasn't been topped yet! It was an amazing time talking to @jacobcarson877 and @Brandon on the team every single day, those guys are a blast to be with and should you be reading this and ever get on a team with them, you're in for a treat. Us three mainly dominated the locker room and were the ones talking most of the time, with other people occasionally dropping in and saying hi. My most memorable experience from the regular season in Istanbul was when we were around the 50 game mark, and we were 5 points out of a playoff spot. @KaleebtheMighty told me to say a speech to get the boys hyped up, and I said my famous Wolves speech that ended up netting us a 12 game win streak, and a playoff spot at the end of the day. I swear to god Simon must of heard our speech, because I've never seen anything like that happen ever in my time here, it must've been a miracle! However, despite the miracles that were being done for the Istanbul Red Wolves, our season came down to the last day of sims. We were only a couple points in the playoffs, and Geneva could catch us with their last two games (they played us and Bratislava), which would knock us out of the playoffs. I was due for another speech, so another speech was said to get the boys hyped up. Somehow, yet again, the speech worked and we ended up making the playoffs only by a couple of points. At this point, I was already immortalized in Istanbul Red Wolves history, just for some funny speeches that somehow ended up winning us games. Regardless, it did work for us and now we were heading to the playoffs, in which everyone thought we had a chance to win it all. I think going into the playoffs, everyone including myself was super hyped, because we just thought "well, if things get rough, just bring out the speeches and the series is won!" Little did we know, we already used all our speech power and we would get eliminated in the first round. The VHLE Playoffs Sadly, the VHLE Playoffs were cut short for us. We ended up taking a 3-1 lead against the Bratislava Watchmen and at the time we thought that the series was over. Little did we know, the Watchmen would win 3 in a row and end up taking the series 4-3. I remember my Game 7 speech trying to pull off another miracle for us, but it seemed I used all my miracle speech points during the regular season to get us to the playoffs, and unfortunately it didn't work. It was pretty sad to lose 3 in a row and get eliminated, especially since we thought at that point the series was over. It was tough to lose like that, a bunch of us wanted to keep the season going, because we didn't want to have to leave each other to head to the VHL, but all good things eventually come to an end. That team was for sure special, and I think it'll take a long time for a team like that to happen again in the VHLE, despite us not winning the championship, it's about the experience we had. At the end of the day, we will never know if we could've took down Vasteras in the finals, which is very unfortunate because I feel like we had a chance. Regardless, our season was over and I was kind of sad. I was going to be moving on, heading to the VHL and to HC Davos Dynamo, to where I would most likely not play with my teammates on Istanbul for a very long time. The Goodbyes and Moving to the VHL Everyone that was on Istanbul holds a special place in my heart, that team was nothing short of spectacular and I wish sometime, we could all meet again on the same team. I think we all realized that despite stories, we all had a great time on Istanbul and it is a great place to play. Special shoutout to @KaleebtheMighty and @Spaz for having me on their team and forging such a wonderful experience each season with Istanbul. After all the horror stories of the E, I'm super glad I landed on Istanbul and I would love to play for them in some shape or form in the future. For any new player that is reading this and has doubts about the VHLE, don't. My time on Istanbul was the best I've had in my career in the VHL so far, and you should be looking forward to it! To this day, I still have yet to experience the same emotional bond I have towards Istanbul, however I'm still very young in my VHL career, so who knows what might happen? 1020 Words, not counting headings.
  9. 1. The best thing I can remember when I was 15 years old was playing on the JV hockey team for my school. It was a pretty fun time even though we were absolutely horrible, I think we won like 3 games. 2. I honestly think the depth needs to step it up, especially myself. I've been playing awful and I need something to get going again, however the team is doing well, so that's good! 3. I haven't been around that long, but the community mainly keeps it going I think. I especially like the guys in the #riot-games channel, they're all super chill and we have a great time playing League of Legends. 4. As a Sabres fan, I'd have to say us signing Eric Comrie. I think it's a great signing for us and moving forward, he could be a solid goalie for us. 5. My favorite summer time activity is for sure swimming. My family has a pool and we are basically swimming in it everyday, it's super nice, especially when it's really hot out. 6. I would say yes, water is moist. The real question is, is water wet?
  10. Welcome, we're glad to have you! Just accept the contract and we'll get things started.

  12. Happy Birthday VHL!
  13. @Bulduray_1 Thanks for the easy trade discussions. Was really nice to talk to you and negotiate and I wish you the best of luck! @Tetricide Welcome to Mexico! We're glad to have you.
  14. 1. I would say Vinny Detroit has been our MVP this season so far. He's put up 16G and 17A which is super impressive, since our team was struggling at one point to score a lot of goals. 2. My goal song would be "Booyah by Showtek." It's an absolute banger song and at one point the Flyers used it as the goal song a while back. 3. I think a lot of our players finally started producing. A decent amount of our players are rookies, so I think coming into the season the nerves and pressure got to them, but after playing a few games, they've finally got some experience under them. 4. I think the biggest steal was Matthew Savoie for the Sabres. This guy has a ton of talent and I'm hoping he can become a very solid Top 6 C for the Sabres! 5. I would rather go to a beach resort, because I like being places that are warm. I don't mind the cold, but I would rather be too hot then too cold to be honest. 6. No, a hotdog is a hotdog. I don't know how that would be a sandwich, but I also don't know what else it would be besides a hotdog LOL..
  15. 1. Everyone needs to step it up. We're playing absolutely awful and we can't get anything going. We need to stick to simple hockey and not try to be fancy I think. 2. It has to be our goalie David Davis, they've kept us in games and have done absolutely fantastic. Without them, we'd honestly be in a really bad spot I'm not going to lie. 3. I'm going to have to agree with Masu, I think we can take down London and get the last playoff spot. Our offense is really struggling, but eventually, we will break through and start to score some goals. 4. I think more off-season things to do like tournaments would help make members more engaged. There are some of these for the M, but not many for the VHL besides the Pro-AM, which my team was basically IA. 5. I think Tampa can still maybe make a run in the playoffs, but trading Ryan McDonaugh is tough, because he's a veteran and was a huge leader. We'll have to see what happens. 6. The best storyline or moment had to be the entire Nazem Kadri story. Also, I think the whole Cale Makar storyline in the playoffs was really interesting to see too, as he's growing into a generational defenseman and changing how the game is being played by himself.
