  1. S91 Chicago Phoenix Captains The first season is under my belt and I feel like we for sure played above our expectations. This leadership group will continue to help the younger players and they will become a key part of the future! ALTERNATE CAPTAIN #1 - Reinhard von Kongming - @Kylrad A player who now has a season under their belt with Chicago and has had players in the past, Kongming will be a beacon of hope for the Chicago Phoenix in this upcoming difficult season. ALTERNATE CAPTAIN #2 - Legacy Gaming - @Gaming Ringleader A new addition to the team, Legacy Gaming has been around the block a couple of times and will be an important voice in the locker room. Coming off a strong season, they'll be relied heavily upon on the ice playing with one of the franchise's best scorers, Scotty Sundin. CAPTAIN - Scotty Sundin - @fromtheinside His last season as a Chicago Phoenix, it only feels right if Sundin wears the "C" for the team yet again. An amazing leader on and off the ice, someone everyone wants to play with. Glad to have him leading the charge this season for the Phoenix!
  2. Slipped all the way out of the first round to 11th overall!
  3. VHLM Draft, where will George Richmond land? The draft is soon to be underway as George Richmond finds himself preparing for the draft and where he'll land. Currently, Richmond is projected to go first overall to the Ottawa Lynx based off of TPE, however, everyone knows that once you're over 200, you can't apply the rest. Richmond has had plenty of interviews with the top teams in the draft and also with other teams potentially looking to trade to the top of the draft. "I don't really have a preference where I play, just somewhere that's going to be a blast," stated Mr. Richmond. Richmond will not be putting up impressive numbers in the M with high scoring, but focusing more on the defensive side of the game and helping the team prevent goals. The highly touted prospect is more focused on the majors, where he realizes it could be a true possibility to play there. The biggest concern scouts have is how will his upcoming season be? Failing to produce under the pressure of a high draft pick could see him drop in the VHL draft in the future, but today is all about the VHLM. We'll see where he's going to land tonight!

  5. 2. My favorite NHL team is the Buffalo Sabres. The reason why I originally liked them was because of Ryan Miller. 3. I intend to focus on getting up my defense a bit, since I'll be in the M. 4. Perfect by Logic would be my goal song. 5. My goal celebration would be the one where you do a bow and you shoot an arrow. It's pretty cool, I've done it in real life as well. 6. First game he's going to get it, I believe! 7. My favorite animal is a dog. I have one that is a German Shepard named Chelsea!
  6. The Upcoming VHLM Draft Hello everyone, back with some more M content! We'll be looking at the projected top 5 picks in the draft, (don't know if these players are going up or down at the moment). I'll also be doing my best to compare them to NHL players, which could be tough, but it'll be fun! I'll also only be using regular season stats. Enjoy! Projected Top 5, What Will Happen? 1 - Phillip Rave (C) - 200 TPA (38 Banked) TEAM: SDM | GP: 72 | G: 33 | A: 41 | P: 75 | +/-: +40 Phillip Rave is a lot different compared to everyone else on this list, as he's already played an entire season in the M. In that season though, he put up an impressive 75 points in just 72 games played, showing he's a top tier player already. The biggest question for such a player is that is he going to go up, or stay down. Ultimately, it is his choice on whatever he decides to do, but should he stay down he could be an easy choice for first overall. Rave is an elite scorer, who finds the back of the net and is all focus on driving to the net sitting at 6'4. He's going to be a fantastic player for whatever team drafts him and he could easily be one of the best players in the league for the upcoming season. NHL Comparison: Alex Tuch 2 - Logan Ninefingers (RW) - 187 TPA (0 Banked) TEAM: MIA | GP: 18 | G: 3 | A: 3 | P: 6 | +/-: -10 Up next on the list, we have Logan Ninefingers, the highest draft eligible winger in the upcoming draft. Another elite goal scorer who likes to put the puck in the net for any team he gets drafted to. A player that is less about speed and more focusing on his shot is Logan Ninefingers. Again, it's unknown if he'll stay up or down, but he should be a top pick in the upcoming draft. On top of that, Ninefinger has honed his defensive game, where he'll be a very solid pickup for any team that wishes to draft him. I could see him going anywhere from 1-5, but I doubt he will slide out of the top five. He's also got a bit of grit in his game, and ultimately is an all-around player. NHL Comparison: Matthew Tkachuk 3 - George Richmond (C) - 173 TPA (9 Banked) TEAM: LVA | GP: 17 | G: 6 | A: 11 | P: 17 | +/-: +18 Sliding into third on the list is George Richmond, the second highest draft eligible center in the upcoming draft. Richmond had a good regular season with the Aces, putting up a point-per-game in his short stint with them. He also was a solid +18, which is very good for a player that was trying to find his footing. Richmond is a faster skater, and also has a huge frame, sitting at a whopping 6'6, one of the tallest players in the draft. The biggest issue for Richmond is his indecisiveness, which could curse him on the ice, however he's a solid player nevertheless. Any team looking to pick up an all-around player would love to have Richmond. (Yes, I'm staying down in the M GMs). NHL Comparison: Patrice Bergeron 4 - Vanellope Von Schweetz (D) - 178 TPA (0 Banked) TEAM: SDM | GP: 20 | G: 0 | A: 10 | P: 10 | +/-: +11 In the fourth spot on the list, we have the highest ranked draft eligible defenseman, Vanellope Von Schweetz. Schweetz is the complete package at this point, being a very solid skater, amazing puckhandling, and high defensive IQ. Their offensive side is a bit lacking, but it shouldn't matter as much as they are going to be one of the highest rated defenseman for the upcoming season. Schweetz has a high possibility of going higher than their projected, as defenseman are sought after more than forwards, so we could see Schweetz going as high as first overall! NHL Comparison: Josh Morrissey 5 - Riley Martin (RW) - 168 TPA (0 Banked) TEAM: MIA | GP: 12 | G: 8 | A: 7 | P: 15 | +/-: +4 The last spot on the list is Riley Martin, another forward that could sneak himself higher than he's ranked. Martin ended up playing for Miami this season, where he actually put up over a point-per-game with them. What makes Martin different from most of the players on this list is the fact that Martin is a playmaker. They've got amazing passing, some of the best in the minors that could rack them up a ton of assists for the upcoming season. They aren't the strongest on the puck, however, they rely on their creativity to find scoring opportunities for themselves and their teammates. It'll be interesting to see how Martin pans out this season, but they had a great stint with Miami! NHL Comparison: Trevor Zegras Other notable names on this list: Vlad Von Carstein (#7 Projected Skater, #2 Projected Defenseman), Adi Dassler (#8 Projected Skater, #1 Projected Left Winger), and Giorgiy Costanzov (#9 Projected Skater, #1 Projected Goalie). I believe all of these players could actually go higher than projected. Vlad Von Carstein is a defenseman and teams that look to play a more defensive style like the New York Islanders might want to select Vlad Von Carstein to help them on the back end. Adi Dassler is a solid player and also the #1 projected Left Winger who could find himself going a bit earlier than projected. Last, Giorgiy Costanzov is the highest projected goalie and although ranked #9, I can see them going even sooner than that, even right outside the top five. Steals in my eyes: Jeffrey Howard Dewberry Kalin (#15 Projected Skater, #5 Projected Right Winger), and Karol Lamb (#20 Projected Skater, #5 Projected Defenseman) I think these two players will actually end up going higher than they are projected and could pan out to be steals for the teams to select them. Kalin is a player who joined the M not too long ago and is already climbing the draft rankings, so look for them to end up going higher than projected. Another player that didn't join too long ago is Karol Lamb, literally joining this week. They haven't applied any TPE, so they could be waiting to see where they go and could easily go higher than projected, as they are a defenseman. Thanks for reading! I probably won't do too much more M content until later in the season, but if you ended up reading this, I appreciate it! 1000+ words
  7. I'm sliding into the Marlins press conference! 1. It was an honor. I wasn't apart of the team, but to even ask me is an honor to be apart of such a historic franchise. 2. Siyan played pretty well I'd say, no championship, but a good run for him. Richmond then had a good season for being a waiver player on Vegas. 3. I'm going to just be improving my player overall. I don't really know what I'm going to do specifically for the players build, but going to focus on defense at the moment. 4. Well, I am projected to go top 5 in the M, so somewhere there. We'll see which team wants me! 5. The Buffalo Sabres. We just got a OTW over Tampa! 6. Honestly, a stacked team that didn't win. But STHS does that sometimes!
  8. Thanks for the trade talks @samx Welcome to Chicago @Gaming Ringleader
  9. Gonna be honest I was doing this at like 3 am I must’ve mistaken the points for my +/- which is 18. Good thing I’m not actually using this graphic for my bio LOL
  10. 1) NHL 24 or any Pokemon game. Recently, I've been replaying Pokemon Black and having a blast. 2) For GM, I feel like Chicago will stay the same. As for my players team, I am not apart of a team right now! 3) I have a build for my player already ready to go, so I'll just be following it all the way to around 1200 TPA. Questions: 1) How has your favorite team started the season in the NHL? 2) Do you have a favorite team in the VHL, E, or M and why? 3) What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
  11. Graphic Review: Alright, starting off I really like the jersey swap that was used. The Blue really stands out and the logo actually looks like it belongs on the jersey, which a lot of people mess up. Next up, there isn't too much going on in the background, which I also like. On top of that, you've got good font and shadows which I like. The only thing I would change would be instead of using the red for gradient on the text color, use a different color. Otherwise, it's very well done! Overall Rating: 9/10
  12. The Offseason ft. Chicago Phoenix and George Richmond George Richmond, where will he land? George Richmond finds himself out early in the playoffs, losing in the first round to the Miami Marauders. Richmond ended up having four points and a -6 in the playoffs, something he wasn't happy about. Regardless, he will now be in the upcoming VHLM Draft, where he will find himself as one of the top prospect. It is undetermined if Richmond will be skipping the M and heading to the E to play better competition, or if he'll be looking to tear it up in the minors for the next season. However, if given the chance, Richmond has stated he would like to play in the E to see how he does against better competition. Richmond will be working on his defensive skills this off-season as it is the foundation of any player. He'll also need to become an overall better player if he wants the chance to be able to play at a high level, whether that be in the E or the M. We'll see where Richmond ends up next season in the M draft, or as a waiver player in the E! Chicago Phoenix, looking ahead The Chicago Phoenix finish the season going 34-34-4, a better record than most anticipated. The Phoenix to end the season went on a six game winning streak, which pulled them to .500. I guess the downside would be they don't pick as high in the draft, but securing a lottery pick regardless was the goal and we've achieved that. We had three point-per-game players this season in Scotty Sundin @fromtheinside, Bo Johansson @Shindigs, and Ivan Retoslav @eagle_3450. Sundin led the team with 44 goals, 46 assists, good for 90 points and only a -3 on the season, which is extremely impressive. Next up was our star defenseman Bo Johansson who put up 10 goals, 71 assists, and 81 points with only a -2. Last was Ivan Retoslav who found himself with 36 goals, 37 assists, and 73 points, with a -4. This was the core of the team this season, the dynamic trio, however with one retiring, they won't be able to return for another season. With the draft upcoming and free agency, the team will look very different in the upcoming season and the goal is to be able to attempt to have around the same record. As long as I'm able to have a lottery pick I'm happy, as we are still in a rebuild. I hope to be competitive in the near future and give some teams a run for their money! Miscellaneous To all the General Managers in the M, if I end up staying down, I do not care who I play for. I know you guys will send out interviews and ask a bunch of questions, but please do not ask me if I'm "willing to play for you." Also, if you are deciding between a first gen and I for line making, please give the first gen the extra time on ice. I don't care about my stats too much, especially in the minors, so it's best you give them a bunch of time on ice so they can see their player succeed!
  13. George Richmond's Playoff Run In the first round of the playoffs, the Las Vegas Aces found themselves staring down against the Miami Marauders. Both teams seemed pretty similar on paper, as they both had recreates join them to fill up their roster and it looked like it was going to be a great series. This was also Richmond's first playoff series in his career, so he was hyped to be able to go up against a good team in the first round, however, he would fall short. Richmond ended up being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in six games, dropping four points with a -6 in the playoffs. Richmond was clearly not ready for playoff hockey and in the off-season will need to find a way to bulk up and gain some more physicality to his game. If Richmond is able to do this, he might be ready come next season for the playoffs, in whatever league he might be in.
  14. 1. I plan on focusing on defense and skating mainly with my new player. They're pretty important. 2. On the rink of course! Have to grind it out to get to the VHL. 3. My player is from Chicago, but currently is in Las Vegas. They do own a home in Chicago! 4. New York Islanders, they made it last year, but I doubt they can make it yet again. 5. I feel like around 65-70 points is pretty valid. Even 60 points. 7. My favorite superhero is Captain America!
  15. I went to Las Vegas due to the LR and also playing time. I also didn't want to join a team that was already stacked, because what's the point. I want to see my player help contribute to the team and be the underdog. I could've joined someone like SDM and just rode out the fourth line into a cup, but it's pretty boring if you ask me.
  16. 1. My favorite season of the year is the fall. It's not too hot and it's nice to be outside. 2. Pokemon is amazing, I was actually playing Pokemon Soulsilver a couple minutes ago. I would relate to Slowpoke because I just relax all day. 3. I would say either the New York Americans or Warsaw Predators, because it's pretty hard to be worse than they already are. --- 1. Are you excited for the upcoming NHL season? Do you have any expectations for the team you support? 2. Who is the most underrated player in the VHL and why? 3. What is your favorite food and why?
  17. Tanking and My New Player The Topic of Tanking A recent topic has came up in the VHL with some teams being called out (not going to list the specific teams) for playing their AI backup a little too much in an attempt to get a higher draft pick. Obviously, this is against the rules, as you're not allowed to play an AI goalie over a human more than the allotted backup games each season. Personally, I don't really understand the whole point of doing so. I guess I can get the point where you want to secure the highest draft pick possible, so against the teams you are trying to out-tank you play your backup against them to secure a loss, meaning you have a higher draft pick. However at the same time, why? You're taking away games from a human player that just wants to see their player play and enjoy the simulation experience. Is moving up one or two spots in the draft really worth basically benching a human player for extra games? I don't think so. At the end of the day, it's all about the experience and you have to remember there are humans behind the screen. Every single player has a human tied to them and that's something I have to remind myself. It's not a NHL Franchise Mode where everyone is an AI and it doesn't really matter if you trade them, bench them, strip them of the C, etc. We'll see what happens to these teams as they're most likely going to get punished, my guess would be having slightly worse draft odds of securing a higher pick in the draft than where they are, but we'll see. My New Player - George Richmond This is mainly just filler to get to 500 words for my media spot, but I recently recreated and I'm no longer a first gen! It'll be interesting to see how this player turns out, as I feel like I'm a bit better at building a player as Siyan Yasilievich wasn't bad, but never really was amazing. I hope to win more awards with this player and take home multiple cups, but then again, who isn't aiming for that. When choosing a team, I wanted to choose somewhere where I'd have the chance to play in the top six, while also making the playoffs. The best teams to do so was the Las Vegas Aces and the Miami Marauders, but I decided to go to Las Vegas as I'm pretty active there and it's a super fun locker room. Currently, I've played eight games with three goals, four assists, good for seven points and a plus eleven. That's actually pretty good I'd say, especially since my build is pretty stale since there's not much you can do early on. Ideally, I want to make a scoring forward that has very good defense and can skate, which is pretty cookie cutter if you ask me. I would love to skip to the E and actually spend more than one season there, as last time I went it was pretty fun, even though there are horror stories about the E. I think it's for sure gotten better though and there's some teams there I'd love to play for. At the end of the day, I can't wait to see what happens with this player and where I land!
  18. Maaaaan I just am gettin my 12 games done.. (8 + 4 because old gm broke rule last season) You guys all copy me!
  19. What can George Richmond bring to the Las Vegas Aces? Joining the Aces The newest member of the Las Vegas Aces, George Richmond, can bring many things to the table. The Aces currently sit at 33-16-6, good for fourth in the league with 17 games remaining in their season. They'll be a playoff team for sure and George Richmond will be looking to help aid the Aces in a deep playoff push. Richmond will be bringing a much needed 6'6 center to the table, with an all-around complete game. Known for his shot, Richmond can help aid left winger Stinky in putting up goals on the scoresheet. Richmond won't necessarily be the best player on the ice, however with his hockey vision and great sense for open ice, he'll be a fantastic player that the Aces will love to have. On top of that, he's flexible and can play anywhere on the lineup, playing with anyone, something very few players can do in the league. We'll see what Richmond can bring to the table in his first few games and if he can help the Aces win the cup at the end of the season!
  20. Graphic Review: Starting off, the biggest thing that I honestly like that sticks out to me is not necessarily the render, which is a fantastic render by the way, but the city of Vancouver in the number. I really like the touch honestly and to me, makes everything else stand out. I really like the shading and the text you use as well, as it blends in with the background. On top of that, the extra glow on the letters helps them stand out a bit, which is really nice. I wouldn't really add much more, maybe a border or something to make the render to stand out. Regardless, you did an amazing job and this is easily a 10/10! Overall Score: 10/10
