Yeah exactly I'm from Quebec and French is my first language. I know I make some mistakes, but I try my best to make my text understandable for you

I will probably get better with time, it was a long time ago since I wrote something in English not related to school.

But thanks for the good words (see what I did there haha), it's not the last time I'm doing something like this.

Anthique got a reaction from v.2 in Good words for Alfred Champagne
After wining the championship in the best league in France, Alfred Champagne he's ready to take the VHLM.

In the press conference after the victory, his coach and his GM talked about him when journalists asked them what they think about him and what his next team should expect.

Journalist : «Hi Mr. McGrath. What do you think about the performance of Alfred Champagne this year? Can we hope to see that type of performance in the future?»
Coach : «He brings constant energy to the team with his skating and huge body check. His performance was exactly what we expected. A guy who's always in movement, wants the puck, throws some hits to take the puck and he's not afraid to go to net the net to have a scoring chance. He may not have the best hands, but his heart, his competitiveness and his skating ability make him useful in other aspect of a hockey game. I expect him to play the same way at to pro level. Guys will be bigger and faster and that's exactly the strength of Alfred. He will have to use them to have success and I sure that his next coach will love to have a player like him.»

Journalist: «You talked about his strengths, but what about his flaws? What to he have to work to have success at the next level?»

Coach : «Like I said, his hands will need to get better to keep control of the puck and deke the defender when pass him with speed it's not a possibility. He will also have to pass more often and to the right teammates. His offensive vision is below average and that makes him predictable. If he can get better in those aspects with the puck, it will make him more dangerous because now they only watch his shot. When I say he shot, I speak about his slap shot because of his size, it's lethal. His wrist shot not so great, but he needs at least one or the other. His defense can be better too. He's not a liability, but with his reach and his d he should be able to make better pokecheck and cover more his space on the ice. He's not lost, but the reaction time is too slow. He's young, so their's room for leadership and poise to get better. I'm not worried about that.»

Journalist : «This one is for Mr. Fauchon, can you tell us about where he will play in the upcoming Junior Showcase Tournament?»

GM: «I've talked to his agent and the Warriors called us to congratulate us about the championship and if Champagne could be interested to play for them. We already had a discussion about that with him and I can confirm you that he will play for them tonight. He may not have a big role, but he can show what he's made off before the draft.»

PR guy: «Thank you all for coming, hope to see you next week for the parade and next season to talk about our team!»

With this, it's end the ''minor'' hockey for him and he prepares for the big leagues. It will not be easy because there will be players from all around the globe who will try to be better than him. Life has been good so far for him so there is hope that it will continue for him and he can have success wherever he go.

Last season was a heartbreaker for me. How could we start so hot, and continue to play great, only to have a playoff run that not even the Maple Leafs could match?

Be that as it may, we're back! We are building on last season's experience. Hot or not, we're going to win the last two games we play.

First of all, I'd like to thank the WJC Commissioners, @Ricer13 and @fonziGG, for the opportunity to be a part of this tournament again. You've been far too kind and I'm incredibly grateful!

Blending is a lot of just trial and error. Stock images at different blend levels, erasing what doesn't work keeping what does, keeping a similar theme etc. It's all the process to try to get things to blend and look natural. As for lighting, I do a lot of just simple brushing with bright colors, then put the layer on linear light/lighten/screen/overlay just depending on the mood of the graphic, then erase what doesn't work. You have to be careful with it though. If you do too much of it, it can wash your graphic out a ton. I've fallen victim to that multiple times so its important to not over do it. I have no idea what a newer style of sig looks like so I'm out here whippin stuff together in my couple hours of free time haha

I wish I had some of my old stuff tbh. I think most of it is on an old computer than I may not have access too. I'll lurk around though and see what I come up with!

    1. The professionalism of both teams after the game. The handshake was great and you could smell the respect even if they don't like each other.

    2. To win a game, you have to control the puck more often than not, so if we win more faceoff than the other team, it's given us an advantage to score a goal and win the game.

    3. Have control over our emotions. Don't take stupid penalties and play good defensively.

    4. Confidence. He believes in himself so we can see it on the ice.

    5. Why not? Everyone has to adapt, even the bot.

Anthique reacted to jRuutu in Jokinen to coach in the WJC?
The upcoming World Junior Championship has attracted a lot of interest around the VHL, and multiple individuals have publicly shown interest in the open management positions. One of the more surprising names on the list is Erlantz Jokinen, who left his application through his manager. Jokinen is more known as a player, which is not surprising since he has 0 management or coaching experience. Jokinen commented on his application with these words:

''It's not a secret, I want to try my hands in coaching. An international tournament like the WJC is a big tournament, but hockey is hockey. I have played hockey all my life. I have watched and learned from great coaches over the years. I don't know how likely it is that I will be selected, but I left an open application to every country, and I also clearly stated I would be interested in assistant roles as well, so fingers crossed. I think I have what it takes to be part of a coaching group that puts together a team that will compete. That is what you want from a tournament team".

The interest towards the open positions is expected to increase over the next few days.

Anthique got a reaction from JardyB10 in Alfred Champagne Junior Review
This journey begins in the East of the France, where a young Alfred skates for the first time with his father Bruce.

Even in minor hockey, he was always bigger and stronger than everybody else. He uses this advantage to destroy his opponents and eventually, he had to play with boys much older than him to have a real challenge.
Playing with older players really help his game because he had to use his teammates to make plays and not only take the puck, skate to the other side of the ice and blast the puck into the net. His hockey sense and IQ hockey take another step with practicing at a higher level and have a real coach to help him.

His speed was always his strength even if he was the tallest and the heaviest of his team. He knows that having a big frame, had some disadvantage too. He had to put more effort to have a better coordination because that’s always a concern with tall people. His hands-eye coordination his not «elite», but we can say decent for a boy with his frame. He also had to train his legs to support his weight and to be able to skate faster than the other. That point always makes him insecure so he put his focus on this in his training. His legs are like real tree. A freaking monster. In the pro league, everyone is so fast so you need to skate like the wind to be able to make plays.

With his size, there is no way that he doesn’t use it to punish the other team. In the corner, in front of the net, at the blue line to get to puck out of the defensive zone, in the center of the ice and even put players into the bench, every way to make his presence know he takes it. The other team always has to be on their guard because when he’s coming you will feel it. Some players aren’t afraid to respond and Alfred had to take his responsibility. Dropping the gloves is not pleasant for him, but only a necessity when someone attacks him or one of his teammates.

Alfred Champagne is available in the upcoming VHLM draft. He compares his style of play to Tom Wilson, Correy Perry and Josh Anderson. Will he become better than them? France is not a country to makes great hockey players, but there’s always a beginning right? Open to any team, whoever wants him, he will embrace his new home.
