  1. Prague Phantoms Press Conference Week ending 17 March, 2024 Please do not do short 1-2 word answers. Put some effort into it! 1. What's poppin' Prague?! This past Saturday was the VHL draft and we welcomed our newest prospects goalie Ondrej Vencko @Mutti, defenseman Chuck E Cheese @a_Ferk, winger Jack Dickins @Mystery_boy98, and centerman Charlie Klepacki @chuck.hockey7! Prospects: Are you looking forward to playing for Prague? Other players: How do you think we did this draft, and what could we have done differently? 2. We said our farewell to an amazing GM Acyd Burn @Acydburn and welcomed in our newest GM Leonard S. Kinnard @Tetricide. Going into season 93 his first time as a VHL GM, how do you think Prague will do this season? 3. With Prague veterans John Jameson @Frank, Nikolas Kauppi, and Matt Murdock set to retire after this upcoming season, what kind of future do you see for the team in the next few seasons? 4. Do you think Jameson will go into the VHL's Hall of Fame? 5. Are you like me and your allergies are really messing you up? 6. What are you doing for spring break? If you're celebrating it.
  2. Erik Thorvaldsson Veteran Greenland Youth Academy Defenseman Age: 27 Height: 2m Weight: 113kg Erik the Red has finally announced his move to the VHL scene after 10 years in the Greenland Youth Academy. Scouts have already started interviews with the grizzled Greenland veteran. Our own totally unbiased Greenland Scouting crew has been following closely to Erik the past few seasons, anticipating his announcement. Fast, relentless, and egregiously aggressive describes the momentum this defenseman has to take down the next opponent with the puck. It's no wonder he's finally decided to move up in the world -- he's got bigger fish to fry in the VHL than picking on the kids trying to make it in the big leagues and utterly failing because Erik doesn't know when to stop. He's got a bad temper that has often led to making the sin bin his second home (and sometimes taking a nap in there). In one interview, Erik was asked if he'd pump the brakes on being a goon once he transitions over to the VHLM and said, "It's kind of in my nature at this point, you know? I'll probably hold back in the VHL's minors, but no promises once I go pro..." Pros: Shut-down defenseman. Fun to have around in the locker room. Might give you a noogie. Absolute team player, although he has expressed his disinterest in staying on one team his entire pro career. Will play for anyone. Cons: Doesn't know when to stop -- this includes noogies. Unintentional penalties resulting from aggressive play. Very long history (at least 10 years) of a terrible temper that has often resulted in a fight breaking out, although minor leagues allegedly will not be affected by said temper. The VHL may be the perfect outlet with the perfect players for Erik the Red to live up to his name. Some key notes of improvement our scouting crew has made are that Erik needs to keep his stick on the ice and not on people's faces, maybe slow down next time before you check that guy into the glass, and why do you always smell strongly of fish? Honestly, I think we all deserve an answer on the last note there... As far as a positive note, they mentioned Erik may be a pretty fast skater and sometimes he does a weird jump and spin move during warmup like he's a figure skater and this could prove very useful if he ever decided to carry a puck with him to the offensive zone instead of carrying a player into the stands.
  3. We'll try our damnest! Thank you Frank!
  4. ERIK THE RED IS READY TO PUT SOME PEOPLE TO SLEEP!!!!

Welcome to Prague @nurx ! Appreciate the trade talks, @Alex!
  9. Thanks for the kind words. I AGM'd for a while under Ricer and we have a few similarities on how we like to run our locker rooms...although I definitely have taken more influence from him tbh. You're a treat to have around in the locker room, or really anywhere in a social setting (well..idk about IRL but I'd assume the same can be expected). I wish you luck and very good success for your player's future! Maybe you can take a Cup home this time around...
  10. Ricer back at the helm of Miami! You love to see it! As well as some new folks who have either AGM'd or even GM'd in the off-season. I'm really looking forward to seeing at least one of these GMs win their first ever Cup Congratulations!
  11. If there's one thing that's certain, it's that there is pretty much a constant rotation of GM spots needing to be filled. My recommendation is to keep applying and show interest, especially in those off-season tourneys like the WJC and JSC
  12. I think this is an interesting take on the off-season blues! Everyone just wants to get right back into playing, but we gotta wait like a month. Especially those who can't participate in the JSC or WJC -- the World Cup is every other season and not everyone is guaranteed to even play in that. Bro thank you so much. This really means a lot and I hope I do y'all proud.
  13. WE'VE MISSED HIM!! WELCOME BACK @Thunder
  14. I'll still be around when I can!
  15. na na na Frank's on my side
  16. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA It's an honor! Thank you, and I can't wait to get things started. Let's get Prague some more Cups.
  17. Thanks @hylandsand @ShawnGladefor your time here in the M! Good luck to all the applicants!
  18. It was a pleasure having Dukat on Miami! I wish him the best of luck in the draft and his VHL future
  19. I appreciate you. Let's make our last season the best and go out with a bang (sick graphic btw)
  20. Applying. Acyd it's been a crazy ride in Prague and I'm proud that you were able to bring a Cup home!
  21. You should look at the date you listed, silly. The 14th was last week.
