  5. JST - Game 21 - Delhi Pickles vs Brigade The final game of what has been one of the most exciting series' in the history of the JST. Delhi's Bobandy scores the first goal of the game but Brigade answer back with two goals of their own ending the period 2-1. Antoine Barksdale scores early in the second period to tie the game. Both teams score again in the second which ends the period at 3-3. Antoine Barksdale and the Pickle's powerplay score again early in the third period, the Brigade were unable to rally back. A great game and a well deserved win by the Delhi Pickles!
  6. JST - Game 20 - Delhi Pickles vs Brigade This game was outstanding! The most physical game I've ever seen with a whopping eight fights with numerous other penalties. A total of 180 PIM between the two teams. The Brigade had their backs against the wall this game but they managed to fight Delhi off taking the series into an exciting game seven. Delhi manages to even the score late in the second period and both teams battle it out until a game winning go ahead goal scored by Hannibal Barca. Wow. What a game! After a game like this I'm sure both teams will be looking to rest up and get back onto the ice. The final game of this series is bound to be brilliant!
  7. I would like to have seen San Diego a little higher on the list but that's fine. Your top three picks are all pretty sharp so I'll have to give you that. Miami & Moscow are my two personal favorites. It's a well written article and it's also very entertaining. I would like to see other members follow suit and post their own rankings. Nice one, Vincent.
  8. A very well written article with excellent formatting. Your use of colors and graphics are outstanding. I think Cologne made the right choice with Justin Lion. Lion is this weeks top earner in TPE and I'm predicting better numbers in goal for him this upcoming season with San Diego. If he continues to earn consistently then he'll make a smooth transition into the VHLE next season. Cologne made another great choice with former Marlin, Ben Dover. It was a tough draft for Bratislava but I still expect them to be competitive this season. I really appreciate that @FrostBeard wasn't afraid to take a risk with The Frenchman even though it didn't work out in the end.
  9. I'm claiming Nov 14-20.
  10. +10 Jack Jeckler
  11. Game 46 - Moscow Menace vs. D.C. Dragons A blowout game where the D.C. Dragons dominated on both ends of the ice. The Menace had a few good scoring opportunities tonight but goalie, Bubbles Utonium, wasn't letting anything past him. He played a perfect game and made 43/43 saves, earning himself a shutout and the first star of the night. The Dragons had excellent attackers in the offensive end in the form of, Ronan Levelle and Ryan Vidot, with four goals and six points between them they would earn the second and third stars for tonight's game. That was a tough loss for the Moscow Menace (4-0) but I'm confident that they'll be back for the next game with some extra oomph.
  12. Game 45 - Moscow Menace vs. D.C. Dragons A close game between Moscow and D.C. with Moscow having twice as many shots on goal and a truly impressive performance by The Seabasstard who managed two goals, two hits, and two shots blocked which earned him the first star of the game. Despite such a strong performance by Seabasstard, the Menace still lost the game 3-4. The Dragons displayed excellent teamwork out on the ice and it shows in there stats with four separate players having scored goals. The Dragons were really moving the puck nicely all night long and capitalizing on their best scoring chances.
  13. As a big fan of ancient Roman history, I love it. It's simple but it looks good. Both of the jerseys look sharp and the logo is nice and tight. Rome was a great choice of backdrop, obviously. Maybe you could add the VHL crest to the neck? All in all it's well done. I look forward to seeing more of your graphics in the future.
  14. Well done, Jayhawk. All three images come together nicely with Riggins front and center. The colors all go together well and I really like the work you've done on the right side of the graphic. If I had one critique it would be the logo on the chest but that's one of the toughest spots on a graphic and it still looks very good as is. I look forward to reviewing more of your work in the future!
  15. Kimmy Jimmel: "Tonight on The Gimmie with Kimmy here at 103.5 and 103.9 The Ledge we have special guest, Aimkin, the Assistant General Manager of the San Diego Marlins." (sound effects) "Welcome, Aimkin! I'm really glad you're here and thank you for your time. What should we talk about?" (laughing) "Do you know any good jokes?" Aimkin: "I'm happy to talk about whatever you would like to know. I would like to shoutout my S85 Marlins who made it to the VHLE. Very proud of all of you. As for a joke: what do you call a guy with no legs and an eyepatch? ...Names!" (rim shot) Kimmy Jimmel: (laughing) "Names.. nice one." (laughing together) "So, Aimkin, how long have you been involved with the VHL?" Aimkin: "This will be my 3rd season within the VHL factory. I joined back in June which is amazing to think of all that I've done when next week will be only 5 months." Kimmy Jimmel: "Yeah, certainly an impressive resume for such a short time frame. You obviously enjoy your work and we're all looking forward to your bright future within the VHL factory. Alright, listeners, we're going to take a quick commercial break and we'll be right back with this weeks guest, Aimkin. Our sponsor this week is Riley's Really Expensive Tape!" (commercial break) Kimmy Jimmel: "We're back and you're listening to The Gimmie with Kimmy here on 103.5 and 103.9 The Ledge on XM Radio! Tonight we're chatting with the AGM of the SD Marlins, Aimkin. Let's get right back into it! How long have you been the AGM for the SD Marlins? Did you have any prior experience?" Aimkin: "I have been the AGM of the Marlins for one season and it looks like Jacob has decided to keep me around for the time being. I guess that means I didn't do too bad of a job." (laughing) "I had no prior experience to becoming the Marlins AGM but a lot of long time members and GMs encouraged me to apply for the job. I was honestly amazed that I got it! Especially with how technically new I still am." Kimmy Jimmel: "Wow, so you saw an opportunity and with a little bit of support from the community you're a success. That's very admirable and it also speaks volumes about the VHL community. It's a warm place where growth and development are encouraged." Aimkin: "Yes, absolutely. I'm thankful that they encouraged me to apply. I still have a lot to learn but look at me now!" Kimmy Jimmel: "You had plenty of support and encouragement from the community along the way but were there any major obstacles getting this far? How did you overcome them?" Aimkin: "My one major obstacle, which I have talked about before, was my social anxiety. Coming into an online community, especially one so well established, is always a shot in the dark when you don't know anyone. And especially as someone with the female experience of the internet, it was a total crap shoot as to whether or not I would be accepted or welcome. Once I managed to establish a friendship with Shindigs it was a lot easier to feel like I was part of the community. People respected my pronouns, and the work I was putting into my player was being noticed in a way that I had not expected. Though I am still waiting for the first meeting of the Aimkin club started by Dil a few months ago." Kimmy Jimmel: "Once again speaking to the warmth and hospitality of the VHL community. The Aimkin club, eh? If we ever have Dil on the show we'll certainly be looking for a follow up, you can count on that. It's certainly a tough world for women and that's why we need more brave females such as yourself to pave the path towards a better future. Looking over the past things have only gotten better for women and I hope to see that trend continue. Some people say that the future is a woman's world and I have to agree." Kimmy Jimmel: "Aimkin, we've previously interviewed your boss the current GM for the SD Marlins. What's it like working alongside of Jacob?" Aimkin: "Working with Jacob is like working alongside a brother that you get along with. He's been really helpful with my AGM role, as a player, and as a VHL member in general. He's given me a few responsibilities but doesn't seem to get frustrated when I fall behind due to real life getting in the way. He's really chill and makes the Marlins locker room feel like a place you can just hang out and have fun." Kimmy Jimmel: "Those are some very kind words. It's nice having a little insight into how things work behind the scenes. I'm glad to hear that it's a friendly environment and that you're enjoying it. San Diego was absolutely stacked going into this seasons draft. How are you feeling now that the VHLM draft is complete?" Aimkin: "I feel great! Jacob walked me through his strategy and I was all for it. I think it really worked out and we picked up some serious defensive pieces, a much needed goalie, and somehow managed to snag the top forward in the 3rd round. Jacob really did his homework in a way that I don't think I could have." Kimmy Jimmel: "Absorb all the information you can because it sounds like you're in a great position. You were new to the VHL only five short months ago but you've made excellent progress. Do you have any advice for this seasons up-and-comers?" Aimkin: "Have fun! Don't take the wins for granted and don't take the losses to heart. The VHLM is just the start and no matter how your stats end up, you can still do amazing things next season." Kimmy Jimmel: "You heard her, folks! That's all for tonight. Thank you for tuning in to The Gimmie with Kimmy here on 103.5 and 103.9 The Ledge on XM Radio." (sound effects) "Tune in next time for some more interviews, insights and all things VHLM." ( 1035 Words - Nov 7-13 & Nov 14-20 )
  16. Jack Jeckler is a big bodied defenseman born and raised in New York, New York. Jeckler grew up amongst a hockey family with his father Joe playing semi-professionally. After Jack graduated from John F. Kennedy High School he signed a deal with the San Diego Marlins and played out the remainder of his first VHLM season. Jeckler was later released and played in the Junior Showcase Tournament for the Royals where the team played well, making it to the semi-finals only to be swept by the Pickles. With a total of 20 games played the stats speak for themselves. 54 Hits, 38 Shots Blocked, with 6 Assists which landed Jeckler with a +/- of 5. Analyzing strictly the first six games played with San Diego he had 20 Hits and 14 Shots Blocked which is 3.33 HIT per game and 2.33 SB on average. It was because of this fairly impressive feat he's already garnered some attention from the leagues top scouts. Jeckler's offensive numbers could be more impressive but with such a small showcase we're expecting things to improve over the course of a full season. Another area that we would like to see some improvements is in Jeckler's Penalty Infraction Minutes. Over the course of 20 games he racked up 18 PIM, this is mostly attributed to his fast and physical playstyle but we'd still like to see him spending less time in the penalty box. It's also worth noting that 5 of those minutes came from a fight where he fought to a draw sticking up for one of his teammates. Protecting his teammates is something you can always count on from Jack and if that means dropping the gloves then so be it. Off of the ice he has a fairly strict training regiment where he exercises and or practices at least five times a week. The diet is as equally important as the exercise to Jack and everyday he supplies his body with the vitamins and nutrients it needs to maximize his gains. Adhering primarily to the paleo diet for most of his life he would say that it was his mother Jackie's cooking that helped make him the man he is today. (6' 6'' 250 lbs) Jack Jeckler was the fourteenth overall pick in the VHLM draft and is about to play in his first full VHLM season for the San Diego Marlins.
  17. Jack Jeckler | LD/RD | 6' 6" | 250 lbs | Age: 18 | Shoots: Left Born in New York, New York to Joe and Jackie Jeckler, the middle child of three brothers. Joe owned a paper products company and was also a semi-professional ice hockey player. All three Jeckler brothers played hockey as children; older brother Jim would later go on to be a paper salesman, while James, the youngest, is still studying at John F. Kennedy High School. Jack is an avid outdoorsman, and spent his summers away from hockey on the Hudson River. He also enjoys deer, duck, and turkey hunting in his spare time, and is a big fan of ice fishing during the Winter. Jeckler has also been known to play VHL 23' during his downtime and was quoted as saying "I'm alright, it's more about the good times and teamwork for me." His favorite color is purple and he's always been a fan of his hometown team the New York Americans. Prior to the VHLM draft Jeckler worked for Pure Hockey as a sales associate. He's also donated much of his time to various homeless shelters and soup kitchens around the city. In fact, Jeckler has already made it clear that he intends on starting his own local charity addressing the basic needs of the less fortunate members of the community. On the ice Jeckler is known for his dominate physical performances at both ends of the hockey rink. The young American prospect possesses several key strengths going into this years VHLM draft. First, his ability to control the blue line, his strength in the corners, and standing at 6' 6" and weighing in at an even 250 lbs there aren't many boys out there with bigger bodies. Jeckler is the ideal size for a physically capable shutdown defenseman. However, he's not only a physical player but also a surprisingly graceful skater for having such a large frame. Jeckler is both a consistent and proficient player on both sides of the battle. Always watching for the open man and covering down on any holes in the defense he shows a high hockey IQ. Always out on the ice throwing his weight around and it really shows when he connects with one of his signature bone crushing checks. Shot blocking is another part of his arsenal and he's not afraid to take a knee and a puck to keep the goal out of our net. A true team player and Jeckler is eager to demonstrate it.

  19. I second Gustav! I’ve donated to Toys for Tots in the past and they’re a good charity. It’s fitting for the holidays and there’s a US & Canadian version.
  20. I agree with Dart that the trophy is pretty sweet. I like the lettering you chose along the borders and the red is nice. The players mesh well over the eerie globe at the bottom. It's not perfect but it's well done and I enjoy it. Nice work, Minion. 7/10
  21. The player looks real solid and so does that cheese. The color schemes are great, everything fits into the graphic nicely, and it doesn't look forced. Maybe the text could be moved slightly left? It's really amusing and it definitely catches the eye. All in all I really like it, Frank. 9/10 Gouda job!
