  11. I also have that question, kind of. If I recall corectly, we get skill points when we play games or something, right? And how much FP is required to maintain/improve a player?

Considering the strength of the players taken after the two, GIYGAS is much more of a bust than Tremblay.

I think this is a great point. Yeah, this draft might be looking good, but even if this pick is 6th overall (the highest it will possibly be), there is no guarantee that Vasteras gets a 500-TPE player. So many past first round picks have looked very solid going into the draft, and there's a good chance Corcoran ends up with someone like that. Or maybe he gets someone who leaves the team after three seasons before they even reach 500 TPE. There is risk in the draft, and a mid-to-late first is going to carry a great deal of risk. I'm a solid player and still just in my fourth season. Plus Corco is trying to compete now, and while I do think Vasteras' roster is currently underpowered, if he does have another move in store, we aren't far off. I think that rather than criticizing Corco for this move, you guys should be commending Advantage. Not for getting Corco to overpay for me (which I don't believe is true), but for getting me at an undervalued price (granted, Jason didn't gave up even less for me so he did a swell job too).

The super high salary really means nothing, because it's not super high after this season. Granted, I will be getting overpaid by 250k next season (overpaid = anything over the minimum). And yeah, when you're going to only list negatives, there's no point in saying "all negatives," because we get that you're trying to make a point by only looking at it from one side.

Oh, I see. So I was worth just as much as Tremblay then. :'(

And Jason pretty much turned me into a free second round pick. But I would actually say that Chris traded more than a 2nd round pick for me, unless you want to say that Tremblay and I had the same value in that trade (I would not say that, by the way).

Half expected to be traded again.
  21. Continuing his tour of the VHL, Keiji Toriyama was traded to the Vasteras Iron Eagles earlier today. This marks the sixth time that Toriyama has been traded and the fifth team that he has been under contract with since being drafted in Season 33. Even the draft pick that was used to select him was acquired in a draft-day trade when the Bears moved down a few picks. The Iron Eagles are looking to be a serious competitor this season and going into the future, and acquiring Toriyama will help them in this goal. A fourth-year player, Toriyama was having the best season of his career with the Americans, ranking among the leaders in both goals and assists. He is currently fourth in points with 62, four of which came in four games with his new team. Toriyama is under contract through Season 37, but the Iron Eagles will probably look to re-sign him when the time comes. Vasteras was one of Toriyama's more desired teams going into the draft, and he has now made his way there. This does not guarantee anything, as much time has passed since then. The strength of the Iron Eagles future will likely determine whether or not Toriyama will stay with the team, as he will be going into his sixth season when he does become a free agent. He hasn't had much success in the league so far, and if free agency gives him an opportunity to jump to a top team with a good chance at winning a championship, he may just do that.

No wonder I didn't get any points against Calgary. Was fun in New York. Good bunch of guys, hope you find success in the future.
  23. Now 13 wins in a row and into Gold for the first time. I've been playing insanely good on Thresh.
