  1. 1.Being my first season i’m still pretty new to everything but from what I've experienced the league is really fun. I like talking to friends about our players performances and making graphics. 2. During the season I played for Miami but going into the draft my contract will expire. My favorite thing about my team so far was playing with my friends. 3. Probably Quebec City or Pittsburgh and the mascot would be Ronald McDondald. 4. BigMacs performance was pretty good. I would have liked it to be better but for my first season I’m pretty satisfied. 5. I don’t really have a preference but I would like to be drafted at a high overall to a team that has great potential. 6. My dream vacation would be the mountains in Colorado.
  2. Review: Starting off my review I just want to say this graphic is great. I like the colors, they really tie the graphic together. Also the overall retro theme of the graphic is great. The font for the text looks nice and I love the look of the glowing text. The use of the skyline in the back looks good and it. The player looks good too and I like how there are multiple fading into each other smoothly. Rating: 10/10
  3. Review: First off I just want to say this graphic looks absolutely great. The jersey choices were great, the colors match the logos well and they look clean. The attention to detail on logo swaps looks amazing. For example the part where the jersey is folding over the logo. I also really like the use of the Stanley Cup as a centerpiece to the graphic. The only part I feel that I can critique is that the cutouts look a bit off. Score: 9.5/10
  4. 1. I believe we will either play San Diego or Mississauga. 2. I think Swinsola will win the mvp. They have an insane 57 goals and 67 assists combining for 124 points in 66 games. 3. I really like the competition in the league. It’s fun and engaging. 4. I’m not sure. 5. With six games left in our season we are currently sitting at 91 points so i’m going to say 99. 6. I don’t have any specific teams that I would like to play for.
  5. Review Starting the review off I want to talk about the jersey. The colors on the jersey really pop, they match the logo well and look very good. Next, the logo on the jersey. The logo looks like it’s actually on the jersey. I also like the background as it matches the colors of the jersey and adds a lot to the graphic. The only criticism I have is that the name of the player looks a bit long. 9/10
  6. 1. I think it was a good trade. We got a good forward who is also good defensively which is an aspect we really need improvement on. We also got a good goalie from the trade. 2. It has been very good, BigMac is producing points and the team is second in the league. 3. I’m not sure but I would like him to be similar to Austin Matthews because of his shooting ability. 4. Carolina Hurricanes as a basketball jersey. 5. Probably my build since when I originally made it I was kind of joking around with my friend hence why I have 54 in speed. 6. No, I've learned almost everything that I need to know as of now.
  7. In BigMac’s first year in the VHML it’s gone pretty mediocre, as BigMac approaches his draft year I was hoping for him to be putting up more points, but he only has 12 points in 22 games (pretty disappointing) consisting of 3 goals and 9 assists. Kind of hoping that BigMac starts to shoot the puck more as my intentions for him was to be a sniper but as long as we are winning I'm fine with whatever. As I keep completing tasks and getting tpe I want for BigMac to start putting up more points cause right now it’s looking a little rough. There was one stretch where BigMac had 7 points in 4 games and now he’s kind of regressing to a 1 point per 2 games ratio. Hopefully BigMac can go back to putting up multiple point games cause while Miami is fighting for first with a 26-10-6 record the team could really use it. Words: 160
  8. McDonald’s BigMac Scouting Report Position - RW Age - 16 | Height - 6’3 | Weight - 200 lbs Current Team - Miami Marauders Born in Trinidad and Tobago BigMac is a 16 year old, currently playing in the VHML for the Miami Marauders. BigMac was born in Trinidad and Tobago where hockey isn’t as popular. Even though hockey wasn’t very popular where BigMac lived he was determined and had all the support he could ask for. BigMac is a highly rated prospect upcoming for the Season 88 Draft. BigMac decided to join the Miami Marauders so that he could progress his talents as a player before his draft. As BigMac plays for the team, in his first year he has established himself as a solid depth player who can bring physicality and goals. Strengths BigMac's biggest strength on the ice is his speed. His speed allows him to blow by defenders to set up a play or take a shot. Going into BigMac’s second strength, his shot. BigMac has a lethal shot as he has been working on it since he was young. Goalies have a tough time anticipating BigMac’s shot. BigMac is also not afraid to be physical, he will go into the corner and battle it out or lay a huge hit if it means that his team will win. At 6’3 and 200 lbs BigMac has an advantage against most opponents when it comes to physicality. Weaknesses BigMac, although he is very good in many aspects, has parts of his game that are lacking. BigMac’s biggest weakness is his inconsistency. For example BigMac had a stretch where he put up 7 points in 4 games. Since then BigMac has had minimal scoring, as he progresses he hopes to be putting up more points for his team. Another one of BigMac’s weaknesses is his mindset. After tough losses BigMac tends to blame the game on himself. BigMac has had this habit since a kid and he hopes to break the habit and be a more positive player. As he goes into his draft he knows that having a positive attitude will be very important. Off-Ice BigMac is known for his off-ice contributions. BigMac often speaks about charities and programs to help kids who cannot afford hockey. Since BigMac came from a family that was not very wealthy he knows the struggle of barely having enough money to play hockey and he wants to help anyone who struggles. He also spends time and helps the kids through their progress in the sport whenever he can. Words: 422
  9. Being born into a poorer family in Trinidad and Tobago, BigMac didn’t have it easy growing up. His family consisted of four people. These people are his mom, dad, brother, and BigMac. His father who worked in the tech industry was not home often so this led to BigMac having to provide for his family and be the man of his household, teaching him how to be responsible early on. Since his family was not very wealthy BigMac often found himself working several different jobs and chores to help support his family's needs like food and clothing. While BigMac was mowing a neighbor's lawn for money he saw two boys in the street playing street hockey. BigMac was instantly interested in the sport. BigMac’s mom, knowing that he had been interested in hockey, took him to a local hockey game in Trinidad. BigMac instantly fell in love with the game and begged his mom to let him play for a year straight. Even though his family couldn’t afford much, they sacrificed a lot to let BigMac pursue his dreams of playing hockey. His parents signed him up for a local 10u recreation team who happened to have free gear for all their players where BigMac began to play hockey as a forward. Although BigMac still wasn’t very good at hockey, the recreation team gave him lots of opportunities through games and practices. BigMac continued to progress as he learned how to shoot the puck, skate, pass, and stick handle. In BigMac’s first ever game with the team he got an assist on a game that they lost 3-5. As the season went on the team had their first tournament. BigMac would put up 6 points in 4 games in this tournament. This tournament helped spread BigMac’s name. In his first season BigMac put up 10 goals and 20 assists, totalling 30 points in 30 games. Now with BigMac being a completely different player than he was at the start of the last season, BigMac tried out for a travel team in Trinidad and Tobago. BigMac made the team and all looked good. With this team BigMac was excited because it meant he could finally travel to different countries as there was not much hockey in Trinidad and Tobago. For BigMac’s first tournament with the team they traveled to Orlando, Florida. The team faced many tough opponents in this tournament to reach the championship game. In the championship game BigMac played phenomenal notching 3 goals and an assist but sadly they fell in overtime. This loss hurt BigMac, he was motivated to become the best player he could be. BigMac was ready for the next season like never before. In the summer BigMac’s dad got a job offer in Clearwater, Florida, a city near Tampa. BigMac and his family were very excited to move to America because they would finally be free from financial issues as his dad would be making six figures. BigMac’s family also saw this move as a fresh start away from all the issues they had left behind in Trinidad. BigMac, now being in America, fell in love with the country. While BigMac searched for a new place to play hockey, he was recognized by one of the organizations that he played against in Orlando. BigMac made the AA team and from there continued to do amazing things as he notched 44 goals and 36 assists in the 40 game season. BigMac was now on the radar of many scouts around the nation as he moved up to play 14u AAA in Tampa. BigMac being the speedy sniper he is led his team to many championships along the years he played 14u. Most notably in his second year of 14u when BigMac led his team to the state playoffs beating the opposing team 4-0. BigMac led the team this game with two goals and an assist to make it to the nationals where they would fall 3-2 in a heartbreaking overtime loss. Although BigMac may have lost the game it motivated him even further for the start of the next season. Now playing in his 15u year BigMac was ready for revenge. During the regular season BigMac broke records putting up 67 goals and 43 assists in 50 games. Once again leading his team to the Nationals where they were the underdogs. BigMac’s team was expected to lose heavily but BigMac took his emotions from the end of last season and scored four goals in a 5-2 win. BigMac was relieved as he felt he finally achieved what he had been hoping for his whole life, to make his family proud. As BigMac is driven to increase his skills he has declared for the Season 88 VHLM draft where he hopes to be drafted top 5. As of recently he has signed in the VHML with the Miami Marauders on a $1.5 million contract for one year where he plans to keep developing going into his draft year. Words: 834
  10. For this media spot I would like to take a second to look over the player and team rivalries forming in the VHML this season. As this season goes on we have seen a lot of crazy performances in the VHLM. For example Mexico City started the season off with an absolutely insane win streak. With four teams not even four points apart in the standings fighting for first we are bound to have some intense rivalries. Starting off with my team the Miami Marauders and the Mississauga Hounds. These two teams are not only tied with each other in the standings, but they also have played each other a total of 9 times already with Mississauga winning five out of the nine games. In these nine games these two teams have played not one, not two, but three back to back matchups. It’s almost like the simulation is asking for a rivalry between the two teams as they fight back and forth. Next we have Mexico City and the Ottawa Lynx. So far these teams have only played each other two times but as these two teams fight for number one in the league there is no doubt that a rivalry is forming. So far in the two games the teams have played against each other, they are very equal with the two splitting the series 1-1. To take it even further the two teams also have scored the same amount of goals against each other at 9 for both sides. As these two teams continue to play each other, watch out for a heated rivalry. To conclude these rivalries we have a player rivalry between me and my friend. This rivalry is a bit different from the rest as we are on the same team. McDonald’s BigMac vs Burger King Whopper. Me and Whopper are friends in real life, I mentioned to him about joining the VHL recently and he did. As we are on the same team I hope that he and I can both put up points to help our team in winning the VHLM’s Founders Cup but I also secretly want him to do bad so I can make fun of him but as me and Whopper slowly progress in the VHL we are starting to become more competitive. This rivalry allows some healthy competition to be involved with our day to day interactions and allows us to bring something new to the table when it comes to conversation. Regrouping upon what has been previously said I hope to continue this rivalry and to keep it up as it allows for progress in his knowledge of hockey and allows growth in our friendship. To wrap up this media spot I believe that rivalries are good for this league. Not only does it bring another level to the simulation but it also can create fun competition. When two people are in a friendly rivalry with each other this can motivate them to earn more TPE and be better than the other. Looking back on my rivalry with Whopper I hope everyone can have a rivalry like that to motivate them. Words: 526
