    4. Should we look for a player to fill a gap or two and just go for it this season?

    I believe we've already filled that gap now. I think @Spartan  is savvy enough to still keep an ear to the ground in case an opportunity comes up that he cannot pass on.
    5. What team/teams do you think will really push us this season?

    Malmo are looking really dangerous. 
    6. It's so early but it looks like the EU is going to be stronger than the NA, you agree?

    I think the EU is more competitive with better teams top to bottom. The NA is quite top-heavy.

    5. What is a "Menace" and why do we have a bearded king for a logo?

    A shit disturber of the highest order, similar to the chaos we cause when playing other teams.
    6. On a scale from 1 to 10, how much does Spartan suck?

    Definitely a 10 because he puts full effort into everything, so he's great at sucking.
    7. What player on the team do you think will have a breakout season? 

    Olober Syko. Dude will be a stud, so much so that I picked him for the VFHL league. Can you have a breakout season as a rookie?

    Start to the New Season

    It's that time of season again, when players have spent all off-season getting much better and are eagerly waiting to see how it translates to performance. Players have changed teams, players have retired from the league, and players are new to the league. There's always a ton of speculation about what will happen but now we don't have to wait any longer. The time of the season has arrived! What's missing is the Christmas raffle/draw but since this is my first time back in many years I don't really know how long that takes to payout usually. There's a lot to get people involved at the beginning of the season in addition to whatever anticipation you have. There's the VFHL league which is pretty unique - definitely excited for that. I also realize I probably missed the predictions for this season which is kind of bummy. Anyway, all that nonsense being said I'm excited that the season has started and looking forward to seeing how the league, and specifically Rashford, shapes up in the early days.

    Keep at it, I've kicked it since Oct 1st! The first two-three weeks were tough (especially the first 10 days where my sleep was brutalized) but noticed that my sleep quality since has greatly improved which obviously has so many positive impacts in general. 

     

    Not sure what stage you're at but it's not even something I miss now. Got that way pretty quickly.

    That's right, a week after writing how Rashford's time was likely coming to an end in Moscow, the young Englishmen signed a one-year extension days before hitting free agency. At the time, there were still many questions with how he would integrate into the team  given the surplus of players, but only a few days after multiple trades occurred and carved out a roster spot for him. "I'm thrilled to be back and ready to really prove myself," said Rashford on a Zoom call while visiting family in the UK. "It's really motivated me to be the best player I can be. I know I have a lot to offer to this team and will do everything in my power to make sure I earn my spot year after year. This won't be my last season in Moscow - you can quote me on that." Bold words from the youngster, but will he be able to earn another contract after this one? It likely rests entirely on his production.

    All of them because you love earning TPE so much.
    5. What task do you like the most?

    Podcasts by far, it's just mentally easier. I write so much in my job anyway.
    6. Do you have any "New Years" resolutions? I aim to meet and get to know more of the team.

    1. Have any expectations about your Christmas gifts? Want something special?

    No expectations ever, I just like when there's a little thought into the gifts. Doesn't have to be expensive.
    2. The team is shaping up really well, what are your thoughts on the team?

    Already some big changes this off-season so looking forward to seeing what's next.
    3. Spartan is going to be our goalie. Does that motivate you in any way? 

    Gives me confidence that we'll have a stud for years to come. Don't need to update defence now ;)
    4. What's the best part about the VHL you like the most?

    The community.
    5. What's the worst thing about the VHL?

    The community.
    6. Do you have your own family get together or does your whole family have a feast for the holidays. 

    We do a family get together but most of the family are overseas so it's really just immediate family.

Enjoyed the general analysis of the team and our future, and as we've discussed, will be doing my best to make sure you have a roster spot with us for the future.
