I know the mag has a schedule, I was on it about 2/3 of the time I was in the league. I'm just saying the deadlines could remain the same for the writers, and the publishing date could move back a day (it would give you more time as well as me or any other hypothetical grammar editor) and it would harm nothing (other than your pride). It's fine though, you've made it perfectly clear everything must be exactly as you want or you'll torpedo the mag. I can tell you this though: if there isn't TPE involved, I'm not doing jack shit in my free time.

It's not a horrible idea. It's a wise idea. It hurts nothing (not even Boubabi's timing like he says - it could just come out whenever things are done, provided that's within a day or so of when it typically comes out). There isn't a single person who can say the mag is better with grammar errors than without it - either it's better without, or they don't care. It doesn't matter what we say though, Boubabi is prepared to take his ball and go home.

I don't think it should be up to boubabi either, which is why the idea of bringing someone on board to do just that was even brought up. I don't think anyone's arguing that boubabi should be stuck with grammar editing, he's not the first choice for something like that. He's much better suited for the graphical side of it, where he does exceptionally.

It has existed in previous iterations of the mag. It wouldn't be a new thing. I understand you're not a grammar guy, but it's part of creating a professional looking product and it seems to be pretty much the consensus of anyone who has posted in here that it would be appreciated. You not wanting it doesn't hold weight over 4-5 people so far, especially when you've given no reason not to have it other than "no need" - there are plenty of people in here saying that there's a need.

If Kendrick hadn't been the one who initially proposed the idea, would you really have had a problem with them putting in a grammar editor? It seems like anyone who comments in here outside of you two agrees with putting one in - consider them the neutral parties. Are you only opposed to it because it was Kendrick or would you be opposed just in general?

I like the idea of a podcast as an additional thing. I'd prefer it to run concurrently to the mag, but if the mag ends up going anyway, I could see this being a decent replacement. (and I do know how hard it is to be the main editor of the mag - I did it for a while in a different league with someone entering covers and graphics for me, and it's pretty labor intensive - but I also don't see how it would hurt anything to have someone come in as grammar editor, other than the fact that Boubabi hates the idea solely because Kendrick came up with it and he's willing to torpedo a staple of the league over a personal rivalry when there's an easy enough solution)

Depending on the TPE awarded for it, I might be willing to do it as a grammar editor type job. It gets tedious so I'd have to get a decent enough reward, but I would definitely be open to that. You're great with the graphics and appearance side of it, but he does have a point with regards to grammar.

The Ottawa Lynx are the undisputed faceoff kings of the league. Case in point: Vaclav Hrdina is 7th in the league in faceoff percentage, with a 54.51% success rate. Despite Hrdina's good numbers inside the circle, he's only 4th on his own team, and by a wide margin. The top three players in the league in faceoff percentage are also members of the Lynx. Corey Klopfenstein leads the league with a massive, and probably unsustainable, 67.54%. It's actually pretty ridiculous how well Klopfenstein has been doing. David Kiaskov is second with 61.74%, and he's the only other player besides Klopfenstein over 60%. In third is Longrod Von Danglecoch with 56.29%, which is still a great percentage, but clearly a massive drop after 1 and 2. 3rd is actually closer to 9th than to 2nd. Additionally, there's a minor drop after 3rd, and the gap between 4th and Hrdina in 7th is only 0.45%, meaning that if Hrdina had won maybe 5ish more faceoffs the entire year, the top 4 would all be Ottawa (and it's definitely attainable going forward as well).

That's not bad at all then. I'll need to reconfigure some things, I'm out of HDMI slots on my TV, but I could make that work

Someone with a true hitting focus

I'll have to look into the Elgato and the built in stuff in the console. I'm not the most tech savvy so I'm hoping it's pretty straightforward to hook it all up. Definitely something to consider

How would I go about streaming? I wouldn't mind plugging in some VHL player as a FIFA Be A Pro, then letting the community decide where he goes, whether I take loan or transfer moves, etc
-
I don't think he's losing much either (although the quantity of the loss is hardly the point) - I just think this is something we could do on principle. Doesn't really bother me much if we don't, I still get a TPE out of it.

Have someone run the facebook page, updates with standings each week, goings on in the league, basically just generate storylines to make it seem like a normal league for random people who look at facebook pages.
-
Yep, already a thing.
-
Do we? If so, then I'm being redundant. Haven't really looked into it since I've been back, there hasn't been a VHLM playoffs yet. If this is already a thing, that's great

No, that week the guy is busy and can't do the PT on the first guy. He'd then do welfare on the first guy and the second guy. No player gets both a PT and welfare in the same week, that's obvious. It just seems frustrating to me, if you get busy and have to give welfare to the PT player, that the player who is usually welfare has to go with nothing that week. Not a massive concern of mine either way - I don't have a P2 and I'm basically just throwing ideas at a wall for the TPE, but it's something that seems odd to me.
-
Playoffs in VHLM could have all teams. The 4 and 5 would almost certainly get blown out, but if there are any actives on these teams (and there is a reasonable chance of that, if a new player is created and signs with them either after the deadline or in such a scenario as a competitive team can't put together a deal) they'd get a brief taste of the playoffs. Obviously not in the VHL, since that league is more about the actual winning, but in the VHLM it can't hurt to give new guys something to get excited about. Maybe a 4 vs 5 series (even a shortened series, 5 games or so) to play into a matchup with the 1 seed while the 2 and 3 fight it out.

Allow users with a P2, once a season, to double up on welfare. Not as a regular way of building the player, but basically just to offset an instance where someone has a particularly busy week. Let's say hypothetically a person has two players, one that gets PT points and one that gets welfare. If said person is busy one week (it happens, life gets in the way of everyone on occasion) they can use that to do welfare on both guys. Once they've used up their one time for that season, it's gone until the offseason. Additionally, you can't store them up across seasons - the S60 one would expire the day of the first regular season game for S61. The only time a player could have two of these is the offseason, one from the season before and one from the season upcoming.
