Calgary GM did more than he probably should have moving up in the draft to snag another of Phil Knight's players. Phil Strasmore was draft third overall in the recent VHL Entry Draft. Appropriately, Knight is on the Wranglers and now the King Arthur jokes will flow. Let's see if he can actually pull Excalibur from the stone of his Cup drought and help Calgary get back to the top of the league. Phil Strasmore and Knight are both extremely excited to be welcomed (back) to the Calgary Franchise. "This was something I didn't think would happen. I didn't even allow myself to dream of it," Knight said afterwards. "This will be the best place for Strasmore to develop and thrive. I cannot wait to see how he progresses." "I was super happy to just be drafted. Most Mock Drafts had me at 5-7 so going in the top 3 - makes me feel top of the world," Strasmore explains. It seems like a great atmosphere in Calgary at the moment. They got the pick they wanted, and the draftee is excited and motivated - look he even got all his capped TPE in this week. Eligible bachelor and draftee Phil Strasmore walked into the Press Conference this afternoon and declared... well, not bankruptcy, but that he will be going straight to the VHL and skipping the VHLe. This screaming announcement was apparently made under apparently under the guidance of a shit-disturber, as there's no real protocol or procedure one has to go through if they do not want to spend a season in the European-only league. "I like a lot of the teams in the league," Strasmore said in a post-press conference conference, "But I can't waste any more time. I wasted too much time in football before my injury, and now I want to spend as much time as I can in the VHL - it's the only way I see myself having an eight-season career". Truer words have not been spoken. Only one player in the history of the VHL has had more than eight seasons. For some reason, the league only limits players to eight. This is the only league in the world that does this - but it's worked for us for this long! Strasmore is looking to go in the top round, and we'll see where he ends up. Mock drafts have put him as high as 3rd overall and as low as 8th. Let's see what happens in just 5 hours!!

Houston player and cursed VHLm-ian Phil Strasmore spoke out at a Press Conference this afternoon stating that the approaching Season 85 VHL Entry Draft is more important than most people think - and it has nothing to do with him. That was obviously a white lie. Strasmore, although hasn't made waves in the VHLm is being eyed carefully by VHL GMs, given the longevity of his Agent's tenure - Phil Knight - who has had countless player sweep through the VHL, including Hall of Famers, But Strasmore was focusing on other players, calling out and reinforcing the hype surround goaltender Matt "Daredevil" Murdoch ( @Acydburn), Right-winger Henry "Soaring" Eagles ( @Greg_Di), and Left-winger Daniel "Deking" Weaver ( @ThePerfectNut). All of these prospects have put in over 300 practice hours already, the only three to have done so (Although Strasmore will join them upon this article's release). Although the age-old saying "practice makes perfect" is not the case, it really is "Practice makes Permanent" and those three are solidifying their status as future elites in this league from the phenomenal work ethic and drive they carry. These three are slated to go 1,2, and 3, in the entry draft. The only reason any won't be in the top three is if one of the teams are in desperate need of a defenseman. If that's the case, Strasmore could sneak into the top three. The comments of Strasmore are actually in the context of VHL history. He believes that one of or ALL of these top three players will leave a legendary mark on the VHL once their careers are said and done. No pressure, guys.

Not sure of the stats but Frank is a legend and therefore will always be the most valuable player. 5. So Houston Bulls have started their playoff run and Strasmore is looking to proud his worth when it counts. this is especially important with the impending vhl entry draft. Strasmore is hoping to go in the first round and thinks he’s shown enough do to do. ”I’ve left it all out there. Yeah I hope it’s enough but we will see what happens. Really it only takes one GM to believe in me. All I can do is prepare in the best ways I know how” it’s a privilege to be drafted at all in the vhl, the most prestigious league in the world of sports, where talented gathers like ants at a picnic. However Strasmore certainly promises to be a shining star in the league. The vhl draft is some time in the near future.

Fans in Houston went into an absolutely tizzy this evening when the young defender of the Bulls was seen just having a pint of lager on the patio of a pub in downtown Houston. clearly no one told Strasmore that this isn’t something commonly done in North America. The English juggernaut, although he’s been in North America for quite some time, has not learned all of its social norms. It’s either that or he doesn’t give a hoot. regardless, the fans were quite happy to see a face they’ve learned to love in such a casual manner. Houston’s Head Office has not commented on the situation, but one can imagine they wouldn’t be too pleased with the image. Houston are poised for a deep playoff run and need everyone committed and focused in order to be successful, but one can’t deny that this little stint has won the hearts of the fans.
