So sad that it has come to this. We try to warn you all.... Great book - but also, I totally understand the resignation without any context or explanation needed. It's a super time-consuming, often thankless job. Your tenure was short but sweet. Thank you for stepping up into the role for the time that you did. As an oldtimer who's stepped back, I really do appreciate it

It's late Sunday night, but Phanta (Phil the Rock Johnson Santa) has had a very busy Boxing Day bringing toys to orphanages. It sounds like a nice cliche, but actually doing it is the most wholesome experience the Rock has ever done. "I didn't have much growing up and I always vowed that if I was ever in the position to give back, I would do whatever I could to do exactly that. I spend Christmas with the family, but today I went out to all the stores and bought what I could load into my truck and went to 3 local orphanages in Calgary." This unselfish act of Christmas spirit almost went unreported, as unless VHL Reporter Mike Hunt had not happened to bump into the Rock in a Walmart, he, and the community would never have even known he had done such a selfless act. "I don't do it for the publicity. I'd actually appreciate it if you didn't publish this. It kind of sullies the act itself." Oh, Mike.. you messed up... and Phil the Rock Johnson, you are a Christmas saint. Sincerely, VHL Community.
