So we are two games into the Riga Reign / Helsinki Titans series for a chance at the Finals of the Continental Cup. Both games have ended in a 4-3 result and it has been a riveting start to the series.
But the excitement around the series was never going to revolve around the quality of hockey. Everyone knew it would be a close, exciting one to follow. The big reason that it has the highest viewing of any Semi-Final in VHL history is due to the fact that the two new Commissioners are going head-to-head in a series to rig all series.
Flyersfan, Riga Reign GM and long-time VHLm Commissioner, seems to have the upper hand so far, as his team heads into Game 3 up by 2, but we have seen many teams come back and win after being in an 0 and 2 deficit. This will be the first real test of the rigging skills of Draper.
Does Draper have the rigging skills necessary to win? Will Flyersfan's shady dealings in the VHLm give him the upper hand? Time will tell and as long as Jardy or Higgins don't interfere, we will be closely following Rigging History being made in a series that could very well shape the discourse of the league.
