Although Phil Villeneuve will be on the ice for the Super Cup, his mind will not be in attendance. Just before the Super Cup draft, it was announced that Riga and Seattle where making a trade to switch Villeneuve for a couple of second rounders. This was widely regarded as a big move for Seattle and top historians even went as far to say that Seattle raped the trade: Regardless, Riga got some good picks out of the deal that will help them with the rebuild cause and Seattle, in return, get a veteran defenseman to help launch them into a string of competitive Cup seasons. Villeneuve's mind is swimming with the changes and adjustments he'll have to make. He's spent his entire VHL career in Riga and so will undoubtedly suffer some severe culture shock by crossing the pond to NA..

Problem is that it only got 1.8 Million views... probably not enough to get picked up. But it's airing in Canada soon and I'm doing some MAD spreading of the good word. BSG, for example got something like 4.8 Million views and was picked up after a year. So fingers crossed

I have the game on record at home but I read the reports on the Liverpool/Spurs game. Looked like it was a thriller and I'm still going to watch it (on Thursday - since I'll have time to do it then) Ballotelli (as I told Coach earlier) always needs to be paired with a striker with movement. He's got fantastic technical ability but can't make the runs so when you have defenders peeling off to cover the runs of another striker it creates the space for him to strike (literally, pun only slightly intended). Sturridge back is like signing a new player <3

1) Lennon seemed to do the same thing he did for Spurs... run around a lot and creative very little. 2) I was so scared just before halftime when it looked like they were going to sub Naismith for Barkley. He would have been waaaay more dangerous and it showed when he finally came on. Worked out for me though. 3) As much flack as Everton got for parking the bus... they closed down Coutinho brilliantly and never ever allowed him space. It was irritating haha

WHAT!?!!? I'M NOT EVEN WORTH ONE LOUSY FIRST ROUND PICK? Ahhhhh I'm just playing. I fucking love all my Riga buddies and I'll never forget the good times we've had there. Always wanted to play in Riga.. since the days of Max Kroenenburg at least... and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. When I was drafted to Riga, my hope was to play all 8 seasons for the team, but if you love someone, you must set them free be traded away to avoid an unhealthy obsession from forming. Despite being inactive for over half of Villeneuve's career, I still managed to become 15th in RIga's history for +/-, 8th in hits, and 17th in shots blocked - I did okay for the organization I think; but I got more out of the relationship than I brought. Thank you to everyone who made my time at Rigging Central such a pleasure. To Seattle, where my VHL career started over 25 seasons ago.... fuck the legion. Let the Rivalry be more epic than ever.
