    1. Why are you asking yourself questions in your retirement thread?
    2. Do you plan to answer these questions during your last podcast?
    3. Is this just a fake post to get 2 TPE and work the system?
    4. Should others look at this very example and do the same thing?
    5. How silly is it to ask six questions for 2 TPE?
    6. Why does the league make us continually do miniscule tasks?

    Article Review:

Any article that garners this much positive attention deserves a great ranking regardless of the topic.  Putting in my own 2 cents on this, my wife aways makes me watch the Holiday, but honestly Jack Black makes the movie, especially the scene in the Blockbuster.  My childhood favourite which you can no longer buy legally is Muppet Family Christmas.  it was pulled from the airways due to copywrite issues but if you can find it in the dark recesses of the internet I highly recommend it.  We need many more articles of this nature on here, it is upbeat, from the players perspective and is absolutely funny.  10/10 great work.

My wife found an old family recipe a few years back for homemade eggnog so full of booze that we were having to cut it with the regular stuff. I wear it was just rubbing alcohol with a bit of egg in it. If I recall the punch bowl sized serving contained over 4 quarts of different alcohol varieties.

All I can assume is the person writing down the recipe wrote quart but meant pint because there’s no way it should have been that strong.

My wife Becca and I will do a podcast buzzed or drunk where I will post a question thread for the members of the community to ask us. You can ask either of us anything as long as it is not inappropriate or disrespectful towards her. Ever wonder how Becca puts up with me? How is she married to a Continental Cup Champion? Here is your chance to find out!

Anyone after S80 has a 9 season career. If you spend a season in the VHLE then you have 8 in the VHL, etc. So if you skipped the VHLE you'll have a 9 season career.

This has been the case since the VHLE was implemented. Since the expectation is most people will spend a season in it we added an extra career season.

Daniel asked our newspaper to publish the following, uncensored and unedited disclaimer and we are happy to oblige.

'I just read yet another newspaper, where the question was raised whether Calgary's alternate Captain AirRig GoodBrandSun is too soft and a defensive liability, and frankly, I am sick and tired of it. I see it as my duty as his Captain and team mate to step up for my brother-in-arms because he is too goodnatured to do so himself. There are few individuals that I met that show an equal determination as AirRig. He is tied last to leave the ice and at times he annoys me when we play the 'no, you first'-game when it comes down to go to the locker room after practice. He is never happy about his performance and complacency does not exist in his vocabulary. Just recently after a seven assists performance in three games, he was breaking his head that he only had one hit in said games. I have you know that no-one of us Wranglers would like to be on the receiving end of one of AG's checks. Not me, not Strasmore. None. In my opinion a check is the last ressort, a means to gain the puck or prevent a goal, when everything else failed. And while I appreciate that it belongs to hockey and that boneshattering checks make for a good highlight reel, I prefer if the players in my team never get into the position, when they need to check. And AirRig is a very skillful and intelligent defender who is hardly ever out of position and since he improved his skating, he can convert his Hockey-IQ on the ice. Further and in addition, GoodBrandSun is unfortunate in that respect that he plays in a line with Stras and me. At the moment, I have the highest FO% in the league, which means we do not need to chase the puck that often, which of course gives AirRig less opportunities to lay in with his body. Phil is the stereotypical shutdown physical defender, for whom neither big nor small player exist, but only checking opportunities. I myself never got the winger gene out of me and am most of the time the first in the forecheck to either knock the puck lose or force the opposition to make errors. Lastly, AirRig does exactly what the GM expects of him: to quarterback our offense; be it in power play or even numbered. There is a reason why he is paired with Strasmore. To take the physical aspect out of his to-do list and focus to orchestrate our game. Were he to play in the same line as Leandro, who does not play the same uncouth type of game as I do, and be separated from Phil, his checking numbers would skyrocket. I invite any doubters to visit a training session and gear up. So that first-hand experience can be had, as to how much of a 'push-over' and 'softie' AirRig really is.'

On this new series I probably won't follow through on, I will be diving into the player pages of some of the VHLs best, worst, and everything in between. I figured there's no better place to start off than with my own player, because a healthy dose of nepotism is always appropriate.

So Phil Strasmore is a Sophmore in the VHL. He dove straight in there, skipping the VHLE, unlike most of the player in his draft class. This will give him an extra season, but developmentally, he is way behind the eight ball.

As expected his, scoring leaves something to be desired. In 94 career games he's scored 3 times and tallied 35 points. He does have a respectable +41 rating, but that is more of a consequence of his team being good rather than he. He has hit 230 opponents and blocked 156 shots, showing off the fact that he can actually play a bit of defense. What's also impressive is that in the 94 games he has played, he's only taken 40 hits. This bodes well for him being a responsible defender.

Is he still worth 3rd overall? Did @Ricer13make a mistake drafting him so high? It's still too early to tell but at least there are signs of hope!

Stay tuned for maybe next week when we maybe continue this series. I doubt I'll remember to though.
