Juice 641 Posted June 23, 2021 Share Posted June 23, 2021 After considering my options after my latest article and after long talks with management, I will be testing Free Agency with my player in the upcoming off-season. While it wasn't an easy choice, it's a move that I think I need rather than want to take. I've been feeling a bit uneasy and unhappy overall, and I think a change to the routine is what I need, whether that's testing FA and going to another team, or just testing FA and eventually going back to Toronto, it's something I feel that I'd regret if I didn't pursue. Whether or not how it turns out, I just want to give a big shoutout to my teammates in the Toronto LR ( @fromtheinside, @McWolf, @Toast , and @Smarch to name a few) for making the LR a great place as well as being overall great fellas, definitely over the rollercoaster of what happened in this last season. Toronto was one of the teams that heavily, heavily pursued me my draft year and gave me the honour of being a top 5 pick, which as a first-gen player is something that still gives me tremendous pride on. It is something that I will hold close to me as long as I'm in the VHL, and something I won't forget. While the past 3 seasons haven't been the easiest (rebuilding season, first-round knock-out, and another down season), Toronto will always be my first home here regardless on how Free Agency works out. I'm excited to see what happens as this is a whole brand new experience for me, and we'll see if a new chapter opens up in Kristof Welch's career.
