Benjamin Glover in the crease for New Kids. Opening face off won by Markus Strauss for Old Boys! Strauss shoots but it goes wide! Puck then goes for icing. Draw won by Berger for Old Boys, but Clark Marcellin steals it, Marcellin passes to Reikkinen, who comes into the zone, Reikkinen shoots! GOAL!!! Just 34 seconds into the period, he caught Kjeldsen napping and New Kids are up 5-2! 7. The New Kids (Post-S18) , Tukka Reikkinen 2 (Clark Marcellin) at 0:34 Not the way Old Boys wanted to start this period, that's for sure. Still lots of time left though to get back into it. Old Boys bring it into New Kids zone and set up, they're passing back and forth! Stolen by Braxton and he passes off to Koradek who skates it out of the zone, Koradek over the red line, he's now over the blue line into Old Boys territory! Koradek shoots! It's deflected by Reikkinen! GOAL!!! Reikkinen with the hat trick! That's 2 goals in just over a minute by the the New Kids Sniper! 8. The New Kids (Post-S18) , Tukka Reikkinen 3 (Pavel Koradek, Daniel Braxton) at 1:08 6-2 in favour of the New Kids and this period has become the Reikkinen show. It's hard to enter a game in the 3rd period against hall of famers after sitting on the bench for 2 periods. Knobody can blame Kjeldsen here. Rafter shoots and Kjeldsen makes the save! Nice save there for his 1st of the period. Beger wins the draw but Ryan Sullivan takes a run at him, Berger doesn't like it and start jawing at Sullivan! They drop the gloves! Berger with a quick jab to the face, knocks Sullivan's helmet off! Sullivan is furious starts throwing haymakers, catches Berger with 2 of them but Berger still on his feet, Berger comes back with an uppercut, nearly knocks Sullivan over backwards but he's got a steel chin, Sullivan with another shot, Berger connects with another and they wrestle each other to the ground. It's a draw! 1:36 of 3rd period - Lars Berger and Ryan Sullivan fight to a draw. This game could get ugly now. That was a heated bout. Phil Gerrard wins the draw vs Chershenko, but there's a quick whistle! Anton Brekker and Mitch Higgins have dropped the gloves!!! Higgins witha right hook, catches Brekker on the chin, Higgins with another shot, nearly knocks Brekker off his feet. Brekker all of a sudden gains his compsure and start unloading on Higgins, right, right right to the face, pulls his jersey over his head, throw a haymaker and drops Higgins to the ice! This game has gotten ugly and we haven't even played 3 minutes yet. It's Leeerrooyy Jenkins winning the draw, he passes to Koradek, amazingly knobody has gotten into a fight yet. They're better than this and want to prove it. Markus Strauss storms into the New Kids zone, shrugs off a check and shoots! Saved by Glover! Now it's Adam Schultz with a chance, let's a slap shot go! Saved by Glover again! Then it's Volodymyr Rybak throwing a high check on Schultz head after that shot and a scrum breaks out! Cam Fowler dives on Rybak and starts pounding on him! Rybak and Fowler have dropped the gloves!!! It's Fowler getting he early jump, he nails Rybak right in the nose, Rybak looks stunned, Fowler with two more quick shots to the face, left, left, then they wrestle for position, Rybak gets a hand free and hits Fowler with a big right hook, Fowler almost goes down but manages to stay on his feet, Rybak still has that right hand free, lays another shot into Fowlers jaw, he wobbles, Rybak hits him again and down goes Fowler! Rybak Wins! 4:45 of 3rd period - Volodymyr Rybak beats up Cam Fowler. The penatly box is getting full. It's gut check time. It's Jukka Hakkinen with the puck for Old Boys, he looks pissed. He storms around the ice and unloads a slap shot! Glover makes the save! then it's Bunclewirth with the puck, Bunclewirth is blazing around the ice, he looks furious. Bunclewirth shrugs off a check, Bunclewirth blasts a slap shot! GOAL!!! Bunclewirth with a beauty and it's a 7-3 game! Nice goal there by Bunclewirth and Old Boys save a little bit of face. 10. Both teams have some chances but neither team can beat the others goalie. Amazingly knobody gets into a fight as both teams are playing hockey again. It's Phil Gerrard with it for Old Boys, he has some room, shoots! Saved by Glover! Then it's Tarik Saeijs with a chance, Saved by Glover again! Glover is just not letting Old Boys back into this. Now it's Koradek going the other way for New Kids. Koradek with a snap shot! Blocked by Adam Schultz! Koradek gets the loose puck and shoots again, Wide! Loose puck picked up by Leeroy Jenkins, he does what he wants out there, pays no attention to anyone, , Leeroy Jenkins comes in on goal and shoots! GOAL!!! Leeerrroooyyy Jennnkins! and it's an 8-3 game in favour of New Kids! 11. The New Kids (Post-S18) , Leeroy Jenkins 1 (Pavel Koradek, Tukka Reikkinen) at 14:35 This one is a blow out. The last 5 minutes go by with knobody getting into a fight despite numerous hits by both teams and various scrums. Old Boys gets some pressure but Glover is there to make the saves. New Kids have some chances on Kjeldsen but he does a nice job keeping this from getting really out of hand. That's the end of the game! New Kids: 8 Old Boys 3 Goals for this period are 4 for The New Kids (Post-S18) vs 1 for Old Boys Club (S18). Shots for this period are 16 for The New Kids (Post-S18) vs 10 for Old Boys Club (S18).
